No offense...but explain to me how it will be 10x's cheaper to take it somewhere and have it diagnosed as opposed to isolating the problem myself? Who ever said anything about blindly throwing parts at it. The whole point of these forums is to offer advice and tech ideas...I would venture to guess that for the most part people who come on here, are trying to AVOID taking it somewhere. Either because they enjoy trying to learn (my case), or because they aren't willing to shell out the $40-60/hr a shop charges.

Excuse me for exaggerating on it being 10x cheaper to take it to a dealer. Also, I didn't say you would puposly replace good parts, but how can someone who needs electrical "dumbed down" and can't read a meter very well accurately diagnose an electrical problem??? Taking it to someone w/ electrical experience was a suggestion, I honestly believe that if your not 100% sure if a part is bad, paying an hour labor at a shop will be worth it. Electrical parts aren't cheap and are non-returnable. If you really want to do this yourself, then fine, have at it. If you don't have a manual, either buy one or find someone on the forum who can send you the electrical section or at least list all the specs.
BTY, labor rate at dealerships in Madison and Milwaukee, WI are close to or at $80/hr.

I can expain how it is cheaper, I'm having the same no spark issue with my grizzly I ran the the tests with my meter and determined that my coil was bad. When I went to get a new one I brought the old one with me, the dealer tested it and it was fine. I just saved myself $40, and that is one of the cheapest parts. I did all the tests according to my manual and I still got it wrong. I do agree these forums are here to help with ideas but when the parts your looking at replacing are $300-$400 and non refundable it might be worth the hour shop time to be sure. Thats just my opinion
