Default Carb adjustment ?...81 250R

Just put the trike back together after cleaning the carb and replacing the swinger bearings. It was the first time I'd ever thoroughly cleaned the carb. Now it boggs down when accelerating in lower gears, but seems to do fine in higher gears? Would this be the air screw on the carb? If so....which direction to adjust it? If not..what could it be?

Screw your air screw all the way in then back it off 1 1/2 turns. That is about the normal setting, I believe. Start there and see if that helps. Double check that when you cleaned the carb you didn't accidently clog any ports and make sure eveything went back together properly.
