Brake Drum for 83' ATC110
As I was replacing my bent rear axle & putting new brake pads in I noticed my brake drum was all rusted and in bad shape.
Ebay has some used ones with light surface rust. Can these brake drums be sent to a machine shop to have a clean up cut taken off?? Will an auto supply house do this like they will for your car calipers?? I just don't want to purchase a bunch of rusty crap off Ebay if I don't have to. My stock one looks like crap, heavy rust and pitting. I plan to mic it tonight to check wall thickness to see if it can be turned but it looks sad indeed.
Anyplace you can find these new? Anyone out there have a spare that is in decent shape willing to sell?? My 110 is ALMOST ready to go!!
RECENT OVERHAUL:
New plastic tank
New tires
Replaced seat/rear fender (almost showroom quality)
Bead blasted frame, wheeels and frame + powder coated
Rebuilt/cleaned carb
Replaced axle
New chain
New handlebars
Added rear rack (refinished)
New brakes
Strong compression and no smoke!
