Default CR500 in 85 250r atc, will it work? Or a diff motor?

I got a question for anyone. What other motor could i put into an 85 250r atc? I dont minde makin new motor mounts, just dont wanna cut up the frame. Would a cr500 motor work or some other honda motor?

well for one i dont have an r motor yet, and usually i can find a 85 or so year cr500 motor for a pretty cheap price then what n r motor goes for . that way i can still ride n save up for n r motor then build it and sell the 500 motor later, or somethin like that,lol

same story told everytime most people hate the cr500 vidrates to much probaly be cheaper to do the R motor in the long run so you dont have to change pipes and all the little stuff it adds up. not sure but i think you have to do a little frame mod to fit it in (not sure tho)

seen lots of cr500 trikes, laeger makes a conversion from a 2-wheeler to a trike,cant tell a diffeence

WOW, i think i'll stick with an r motor,lol. Would be nice to have, but by that much u can have an r motor plus some goodies in it and be better then the cr engine thats still stock.
