Default '96 Bearcat 454 help

Need some help with my 1996 Bearcat 454. The machine backfires when increasing rpms. Have drained the fuel and reworked the carb, but have the same problem.

Any ideas?

Maybe we should get our rides together. My '98 454 won't slow down!

If your carb is clean and your valves are in spec then i would look into electrical issues. Is your air filter lid on?with stock jetting it wont run right without the lid,it needs to be in place and unmolested.my 98 454 bearcat is like this anyway
