Default 550H1 torque

Hey guys,
I am looking for a new AC quad. I am interested in low end torque and not top end. I will be using it for hauling ice fishing gear, deer hunting, light yard work and maybe some trail riding.

I don't really care about top end. I will spend most of my time under 20MPH. I do not want to do any engine mods. I will be putting a winch on.

Does the 550H1 have good low end power? Does it have a good "snap" when I hit the gas? The 700H1 will have more than enough power for what I want but I do not really the price tag as much. All of my heavy yard work and utility work I will use my skid steer or tractor.

Dirt Trax TV gave the 550H1 low marks for power. But I want to hear from people who own one.

Thank you.

Cool

I wouldn't put too much weight into what the boyz are saying at DIRT TRAX. About 5 episodes back they LIKED the 550.

Wifey's got one. Luvs it. Haven't had 1 issue in 400+ miles. It's got a ton on lowend and I found it to be pretty snappy in terms of throttle response.

She was pulling over*filled snomobile trailers of cut wood back to our "splitter" area about a wk ago through about 1/4 mile of VERY soft cultivated field. Threw it in L and 4whl.....NP.

I found it quite comparable to my TRV 650H1 carb'd for overall performance. It is noisy'r but that's due to the change in the transmission bevel gear update in '09.

Oh top end * 50+mph.
