diff lock 3 tires only

Are you sure that the 4wd is engaging and not just making a sound? Only thing that comes to me is that your 4wd box is not engaging or not going in all the way.
I thought the diff lock was just a mechanical lever? But if it was switched to an electric one then it may not be engaging all the way either.
I think the front diff is a limited slip. If you do not use diff lock and one front tire goes into the air it then spins and the one touching the ground does not. Which is why people like the diff lock.
Hope this helps

well i brought it in today and the mech said its ingaging but he thinks its my axel...he was blaming my 26" tires for it not ingaging. He also said sometimes larger tires voids the warrenty!! Needless to say I'm calling AC my self tomorrow to complain about the shotty service where i bought it!!

tires are personal choice from the dealer. Some will say the bigger tires will void and others can care less. My dealer is awsome, and can care less. Infact i have broke 2 axles on my 500 while climbing on rocks and both were replaced under warrenty and i brought it in with the 27s on it. Now im running 28s on my 08 700(which the dealer has seen) and again, he dont care. He gets the business either way and he knows ill be back to buy more from him b/c of his support. Now, i don't do anything stupid with my 700 like i did with the 500 anymore, I just like the way it looks with the larger tires. I think your mechanic needs to look at your 4wd again, cuz the tires aren't the problem with it not engaging. Do you think the bike knows its running 26s,Hell no,not only that, its only an inch difference. mine engages just fine with 28s. Id check with another dealer if you can,or tell him to get his head out of his A$$. Tire size should not affect it.
