Most oil is manufactured by just a hand full of places, just put someones label on it and you have different brands (Arctic Cat, Yamalube, etc ). Add something to the mix and you get another app code. So I guess what I need to know is what app codes and weight am I looking for?

10w40. Change it every 300-500 miles (factory recommended) any brand you want( if it were a 5 speed, then you would need an oil for a wet clutch system. not sure of the code for that). Your choice, synthetic or regular. The differentials get 80w90 hypoid gear oil, again any brand and synthetic or regular is your choice. Change it every 1,000 miles(factory recommended) Along with these another oil you may need is Air filter oil. Clean the air filter with soap and water or use air filter cleaner, and then use air filter oil after its dry. The oil is in a spray can. I personally use arctic cats oils, the kit is easy to store and everything is right there ready for my next oil change. hope this helps.
