Default 04-650 cat

I have a problem with the v belt failure mode being triggered often.Can i simply disconnect the belt light indicator while driving toavoid this also Iwas wondering if I should be riding in trails in high or low gear.Thanks.

When you reset the v belt failure mode did you remove the belt housing cover to reset the trip lever ? If you didn't remove the cover you should remove the cover to inspeck the belt for wear or looseness , if the belt is going bad there could be a shreaded peice of the belt that's tripping the internal switch ; or if the belt is loose it could be slapping again't the internal trip switch causing your problem !
