Once the motors are gone through they are very reliable.. Send it to Wisetech or www.blackwidowatv.com in SLC Utah..

Raced a DS650 with a 46mm lectron, Vortex CDI, After Market Exhaust on my stock Cannondale with Boomers intake and beat him four out of five races.

Nope he never fell asleep, and he weighted about 240lbs. My Cannondale was just that fast. I also beat piped and jetted with cam mod YFZ450's that day also. Of course it was the best of three races and I won two of them.

You guys must have better luck thank I...
My dad has a bone stock '02 Speed and I can't beat stock Raptors or DS 650's on it. Maybe it's because the Dale is so bottled up with that "toaster" exhaust, but I just can't seem to beet them in a drag.

I actually have the motor out right now....took my friend and I 6 hours to pull the darn thing. (And for anyone who thinks that is a ridiculous amount of time...well it is, but trust me it ain't easy/fun!!!)
Wistech- Was at Pismo and started hearing some noise coming from the engine...stopped it, and noticed that the oil level was dropping. The best C-Dale mechanic in town (basically the only one I would EVER take a Dale to in Vegas) said he'd go through the motor to see whats goin on with it. Drained the oil and the long skinny filter had a bunch of metal shavings on it, while the larger filter looked perfectly clean. Like I say, motor was running when we stopped it, but something wasn't right! Any ideas?? Thanks...

Stock they should be about dead even . Top speed is the same.

Well you know the pod filter with the bike stack will add about 3 ponies to a stock motor. So your probalbly in the low 40's now.

Interesting that you have to mod a far larger engine to beat a stock Dale. Ernie has spent some time tuning his quad to get a few extra horses out of it. When he gets his big bore stroker together and gets into the fifties it should make for some really good racing.

Thats true . Even though the ds has 10 more horse stock theres a lot of wieght there to push around. Thats why they are such a good matchup.
By the way does your DS vibrate when revved out? The one I ride with vibrates the heck out of the footpegs when pushed hard. Most of the time I just tractor around with it in high gear though. Gobs of torque. They sure are an underated quad. Lots of fun on the trails with the ultra plush ride.

You need a tune up and to check your camshafts for a worn lobe. Check out the low power thread on cannondaler.

the dale is an MX quad isn't it? So given that, it should top out pretty quick, but at a slower speed than the DS. So in a drag, I'd say the DS will probably get it, if the race is long enough. Take him on the track if you want to walk on him.

I think I seen Ernie660r Cannondale at Aledo this year and it did run very good.

if he had that done to his DS, was he asleep or does he weigh 400lbs to lose to a stock atv?
Posted by: DS650powe
that ds with a 46 etc. etc. would be puttin out mid 50's cannondales must be quick :-)
Posted by: DS650powe
cannonales also dont weigh 475lbs dry :-)
Posted by: DS650powe
mine really doesnt have that much vibration anywhere, yeah and i love riding in a tall gear with the torque to lug the big boy around

my buddy got a bombardier n he is soo confident he will beat me
we cant race b/c i have to get the c-dale runnin first
the ds has no major mods..the only thing it has is the OnDunes power tip (no disk) and jetted carb and the c-dale is all stock
we are both good riders and have been riding for years soo who do u think will win
Posted by: ThorMX902y
any ideas?
Posted by: ThorMX902y
thank youuu
Posted by: ThorMX902y
raced him n my ds romped on it hard every time
Posted by: bombrider04
cannondales are about the same but if it is a long drag the ds will def win it just takes longer to get up to speed because of the weight and spins the tires alot more. Also if the ds has an electron carb and a few other goodies the ds would def win over a cannondale that guy must not be able to ride or something.

the prob witht he ds is yea it has alot of torque but it usually spins the tires alot when starting off becuase of the extra weight and yea well cannondales are alot lighter.
