They need some updates. Splitting the crank and installing a Z400 bearing is the most labor intensive. Other things should be done also. Some cost more then others.. Just like any machine, you get out of it what you put into it.. If you do the updates you should be okay. I've had mine for 39 months. I've done the updates. I can also say I have never had a Fool Injection issue or electrcal problem of any kind. My quad has 300hrs on it...

None at all. As a matter of fact www.blackwidowatv.com will sell you a crank w/ the Z400 bearing installed and balanced for 385. They can sell you all gaskets and any part you need..They might even buy your old crank as they rebuild them..

Well I guess not. I look at it this way. If anybody has put in a oversized piston in a YFZ, 450r ect they are all riding around on unbalanced cranks including my Athena 434..

Looking to possibly pick up a Cannondale. Will use it primarily as a duner. What is the difference between a Cannibal and a Speed, is a Cannibal with the right mapping, ohlins shocks and a pipe pretty much a Speed? I am looking at a very clean Cannibal with Ohlins, D&M kit, Stage 8 kit, Bill's pipe, what would be the difference between this and a speed. What extra maintenance would be required for the Cannondale? Will I have trouble finding parts? I am a mechanic so that is not an issue... Talk me out of this!!

About splitting the crank, what about gasket kits and stuff like that? No problem getting the parts?

Wouldn't they need my piston to balance the crank correctly?

Yeah I hear you, but I'm thinking if you are going to get it balanced why not do it right the first time. Looks lie I'll be picking an 03 Cannibal with Ohlins, D&M, Paddles etc...Trading a Banshee and the guy is giving some cash. Sure hope I don't regret it, but damn those Dales look trick
