That is a dirtbike hp reading I believe. I will say this about the YFZ. My friends was just dyno'd in Mesquite, NV and it got 43.5 corrected hp at the rear wheels w/ all the bolt on goodies and the cam mod w/ stock knobby tires.. Corrected hp is sea level, 59 degrees, and something w/ the barometric pressure.. I ran this YFZ up Utah's Sand Mtn today and I barely beat him. He weighs more then me so I'll call it a tie!!!

For a second there I you were kidding but I guess your not. There is a kit out called a Diagnostic and Maintanence Kit. Its a software program that allows you to hook your quad up to your home computer ,laptop or PDA. It allows you to check engine functions, bring up trouble codes, and calibrate your fuel system to match your engine mods. You can dowload dozens of different fuel maps to meet your power needs and traction requirements. And it can be done in just a few minutes . Its a tuners dream come true.

D&M kits cost about $300. They should be factored in to the purchase price because they are a such an important tool. Once you change maps a couple times it actually pretty easy. I usually change my maps depending on trail conditions. For long trail rides where fuel mileage and fatigue is an issue I use a less agressive map. But for short rides or duning I crank it up. There are what 4 or 5 makes out there right now that have the fuel injection. It does add complexity to the quad but I dont think I could ever go back to carbs.

do they have the mx atk450 pics posted anywhere?

What is so junk about it?
Is it because it isn't a yfz450?
I know the cannondales had some problems, but ATK says they have fixed all that. Besides it is the only mx quad to come out with real suspension, you think the R and the Yfz have good suspension? I just love how people will run their mouths about something that they will never see, let alone ride.

Sorry guys! I think what he really meant to say was....I'm just a punk!

If that thing truely has 48hp at the rear wheels and not the crank, it'll be good night Honda, Good night Yamaha, See ya Suzuki, I'm the new man in town Mr. ATK. For all you dale lovers I'm glad to see ATK did something to keep ya happy. But I hope my R doesnt struggle against em

nice ride but im still leary about a fuel injected quad. how would you even adjust it for a pipe and filter for example
Posted by: jeepnrocks
hehe no i wasnt joking at all. it sounds like a great thing but if your unexperienced it may be a nightmare. and how much does it cost ? that could be ruff right there when you factor in the price of a full exhaust jet kit and new filter. Once again im just speculating, but ill bet fuelie quads will be the norm someday. time marches on haha
