The Patriot models were only available as 2003 models.

The Cannondales are good ATVs if you maintain them. I'm not going to tell you they are just as easy to keep up as other sportquads because they are not. Other sport quads do not rely on the battery as a main source of power to the electrical system.

Other than being sure you keep your battery at peak level and change your oil often though, you shouldn't have any more trouble out of it than you would anything else.

What scares most people away from the Cannondale quads is the thought of something going wrong and not knowing how to go about having it repaired. There are guys out there like SouthBay and others who have stepped up to the plate. You ship them your engine, or whatever may be wrong, and they will repair it and send it back to you. No different than all the racers who send in cylinders and heads for port work, or an entire engine for a stroker kit install.

When and if you buy a Cannondale, be sure to follow the dealers break-in instructions. This will be the most critical key in determining what you can expect from the engine regarding reliability.

By the way, which dealership in Mississippi are you referring to? I don't know of any Speeds left in these parts.

Do you mean Village Cycle?? If so, that's our dealership.

I cannot discuss anything further about them with you here based on ATV Connection rules.

Give the sales department a call Tuesday and I am sure someone will be more than glad to assist you and let you know what models are still available.

I have bee pouring over the post on Cannondales to try to gather all the info. I can. A Mississippi dealership has new 2002 Cannibals Patriot Editions for $3900. I know how to do some work on ATV's, but no motor rebuilds or heavy work. I change my oil, jet the carb, etc. The bike would not be modified in anyway, it seems there are plenty of resources to fix any problems I may have, but I would be new to the Cannondale. Any advice? I want one to ride, not work on, but I don't mind doing preventive work. Thanks for any help. He also has some 2003 speeds, but I didn't get a price on them. Is it a good reliable quad?

I believe the name of the place is Victory cycles. I found the ad on ATV trader searching under Cannondale and Mississippi. I have called so many dealerships I may have the wrong name, if you can't find the ad I can send you the phone #.
