I have had my C-dale Cannibal for over a year...Problem Free!!!!! I would take the clutch cover off and check for the crankcase stud update..If you see allen head bolts you will need the update. Also the motor mount update kit.
If you change the oils every 2-3 rides and the air filter the same. You should be fine.Dont forget the fuel filter as well I do mine every 10hrs. Also make sure the battery is fully charged and to do the correct starting procedure..This all seems alot, but it is not..I use mine for the trails and play MXing..I couldnt ask for a better quad..These bikes require a little more maint. but it is worth it..There are some great people on here that can help you out..

I am a first time owner (will be this Saturday) of a brand new Cannondale Canibal 03 USA Edition, I am buying this off a private individual who purchased 2 of them off a dealer. It is brand new never started #138 of the edition. I am also getting a full extra set of plastics with the deal -- they are the red and black ones for a standard canibal. He suggested that I take off the USA plastics and swap them for the red and black ones that way the originals will stay in mint condition when I want to sell the quad down the road. I have several questions and hope that somone will take the time to answer or respond to these and help me out cause I have no idea what I am getting myself into here. I am totally ignorant of the Cannondales and know very little of them except I hear great things that the are the fastest and most technologically advanced of all the quads.
first off, can someone tell me what about I should be paying for this deal a new never started 03 caninbal USA ed with a extras set of plastics??? I would like to hear prices to ensure I am getting a good deal....whats it worth??
second... I am going to be using the quad only for trail riding, I am 41 and will not be racing it but riding in woods only. My last quad was a Warrior.
do these have reverse? how much maintenance are they....are they a high maintenance quad as I know little about EFI.... Are they fussy???I know how to tear a carb apart and clean it but EFI ??? I am not worried about getting parts as I see ATK bought everything and is available to sell and I see tons of parts on the forum in Cannondaler.
What about riding in the mud, water???? anyone ever dunk one of these, should I be worried about getting it wet???? I dont like the fact that the battery is on the bottom part of them frame... ok to submerge that???
are there any know problems with the 03's USA Ed's......has anyone know of shock problems or engine studs problem....I heard something about that needed to do an upgrade??? Someone enlighten me..
I want to hear the good and the bad....all comments on these quads welcome....please... I have 5 days to have buyers remorse.... not too late to back out ....thanks
