I'm no corporate lawyer but I'm sure what will happen is whomever takes over the motor sports division will also have to honor all current warranties.

You are talking abot the extended warrenty not the 6 month one from Cannondale.
They have the problem not you. I have one of those myself and don't look forward to having to use it.

along with the purschase i included a 5 year extended for all lubricated parts warranty . The question i have is now that dale is "chapter 11 " should i get the lein co. /dealer to remove the cost which would be 800 dollars since i'm sure they are not going to warranty any more machines / or am i / we in a grandfather clause and still able to get warranty work ?
Do any other people have a similar situation and how are you handeling it ?
I have not had a problem whatsoever on my machine a 02 speed no update on the stud kit but every bolt i felt was secure and i've ran the piss outa it and have done all the love and care this machine deserves .

Yeah Smitty i'm outa the 6 mths warranty , and when i purschased i also took the 5 year extended . though i have never had to get any warranty work done i am going to be paying for several hundred dollars that i may not ever be able to use / need .
.
If any one has the extended who is the underwriter of the policy? and have you contacted them yet to find out , if they are still honoring them . Id rather not be a sucker and i'm sure none of you guys either . i'm sure the new owners wont honor them but i'd rather think positive .

The extended warrenty you bought was not from cannondale! They did not offer an extended warrenty. It was from a company outside of cannondale. Unless they go bankrupt, your extended warrenty should be honered. My dealer sales 4 brands and he sales the same extended warrenty no matter which brand he sales.
