I'm thinking about trying one of these Batcap as a booster for the starter. It's very small and only weights 2.5 lbs, and puts out 300 amps in short burst. Could be just the ticket for quick starts. I sent them an email with a few questions, I'll post what I find.

Haven't tried it yet. It's been starting fine so I haven't needed to do anything extra.

JayBR, I just did a search and came up with this thread. I was wondering if you got one of the Batcap's or knew of someone that did. Any info would be appreciated. Looking for a better way and always.

I found a battery that puts out 230 cold cranking amps versus the stock 120. It is a Yuasa YTZ14S. It is only 5mm taller than stock with the same L x W. That should get it started faster for them dead engine starts. They are around $100. I'm going to drop mine in this week and give it a try.

Has anyone placed an extra battery on a dale. I know Nac's has on the GNCC quads but not sure where they put it.

Just a curious side note that highlights my lack of ability in maintenance

I changed my bars after noticing they were bent. I pinched the throttle cable against the front brake perch when I remounted it and didnt notice it. I wnet to start it bone cold (42 degrees.) It would turn over, then cough, turn over then cough. What the hell?

I tried again and it fired up and went to rev at about 8k!

Didnt know they could start with the fuel on like that, I quickly fixed the problem, just was suprised it would start like that without fouling
