i have been kcking around an idea for a couple of months now. im ready to get something going and i think it will be good for all of us. you that know josh and me also know we are pretty new to the quad racing scene. you also know that we are into it for the long haul. in the little time i have in it i think i have acomplished a few things that have benefited all riders in this area. i want to take it one step farther now.

i would like to form a quad riders association like the TQRA that they have in texas. we need numbers to get more done and this is the way. after we form a association we could run a series. i know of 4 tracks that would do it for sure, one more would probably go along when he finds out that the rest are. also i think ricky at holeshot would do it. he hates quads but he likes money.

now what i ask from you all for now is this. pm me your contact information. name, address e-mail address and phone number so i can put together a contact list. next when you race the next couple of weekends tell all the quad riders and get their contact info fo me. i will also get some flyers made up to hand out explaining what i am wanting to do and giving out my contact info.

ok i have layed out my plan its up yp you guys now.

Way to go Mark. Putting together an organization of Quad Riders sounds like fun work. Do it.You seem like you'd be good at it.

Sounds like a great idea Mark.

Back when I was running the four stroke class in the mid-nineties, there was a similar series like what you just described that consisted of about 6 different tracks.

They didn't award points at each track that went towards the series, but instead had the "Championship" race at the end of the year and only the Top 3 riders from each track were allowed to participate in that race.

A couple of those tracks were down your way, but they had the Championship race at a different track eacvh year and only went to the one in Pontotoc.......if I remember right, it was around 1997 which was also the last year that the series had only Mississippi riders.

Since then, You have now what they call the "Tri-State Series". 2 tracks from north Miss, 2 from Tenn, and 4 from North Alabama.

I hope you guys can get something like that going again in your backyard.
