I have also seen PIA lights installed DUBYA1 has them and did a write up about putting them in. AT night I have been taking off the COvers and pointing them down.

The new covers don't have that little ridge on the inside.
C-dale,
If you do a search at TT Dubya has a write up about putting the kit on his and what the amp draw is. Pictures included.

ab,first off remove the covers
then remove the black rubber gasket(this will allow more light out)
then reaim your lights down(further than you might want to)and replace your covers
it looks odd but it works, there is no need to cut any plastic...
cannondale needs to rethink thier headlights

Cannondale just came out with new covers the headlights are now mounted in the covers you can look in the parts bulletin on there website for the part numbers but that should take care of your problem.
