TheHulkamaniac just wanted to tell you: cool screen name. How about sport 4x4 from ‘Dale something along the lines of a Scrambler or Wolverine

Hey Smitty, why would you be downsizing from a 432cc to a 414cc? That's what you would have if you went with a 93mm piston? Just curious.

Posted by: ZRWHAT

95mm is the stock bore, so 432cc.

If you went with a 97mm you would be at 451cc, but from what I have heard the wall on the cylinder is so thin that it isn't thought to be very reliable. Of course there is probably only a couple in the country like that, so I'm not sure if the reliability has really been tested either way. Unless of course Cannondale is designing a new cylinder for their next generation motor?

I've still got the motor for sale if you want one to experiment with!

Cdale 1: Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town. I do have an extra motor that I am looking to sell, if you are intersted email me at zrwhat@mchsi.com. Thanks.

I don't thnk your ever going to get 700 out of the motor.

Trinity has mine apart and my be putting the 93mm piston and cyclinder in. There isn't alot of room to go to much bigger in bore. The sleeve starts getting pretty thin at that point. There may be room to have 1-2 mmm of stroke but this may cost you in RPM and be very expensive.

Sorry it's a 95mm piston. OPPS how big is it now.

Cut a little from the case, cut some more from here, from there, what the hell. The bigger bore is alot thinner I've seen it.

Not sure if I wanna do that just yet. If you didn't have to pull the motor to put the sleeve in.

I have a question. Why are they boring the stock sleeve? That sleeve would be very easy to machine from scratch if it is to thin just make it thicker you would lose some coolant capacity but maybe that could be gained by boring the block.Question two.Has anyone noticed that the original motors 2001,early2002 had flat top piston not dished like now?The rod is also not the carilla beam rod anymore. Are they lower compression than before?

I heard something about a 700cc kit from a cannondale guy that seams to know about cannondale stuff way b4 most do. I would love it if they did. I think its a bolt on or some thing. maybe hes pulln my leg but i hope not. A EFI432 is fas now but a EFI700 damm!

Will that 2004 450 be a complete motor or just a revamped top end?

If its a redesigned top, jug, head ect... It may be backwards compatible. I sort of hope its not an overbore. Even though I am getting a 2003.
