When I called Lonestar about them, they told me I would need longer shocks. I'm sure you will need longer brake lines, I needed them with my +2 American Stars.

They told me they use a 17 1/2" shock and the stock Speed shock is 16 1/2" They said the shocks would bottom out.
They might work if you had them revalved and used stiffer springs.
My stock shocks bottomed out for the first time the other day when Nrath was test riding it after we installed the +2 arms. They haven't bottomed with me on it yet, but he gets bigger air than I do BR>
My +2 arms are setup for the stock shocks, but when you move the wheels out it puts more pressure on the shocks. I ordered new dual rate springs from Ohlins today.

I thought about the Housers but they also require a new steering stem and shocks. I'm not racing so I didn't want to spend that much.

I need some more input, the guy I bought the arms from swears it will work with the Speed length shocks. Has anyone tried this. I need help quick.

anyone tried the houser a-arms? just cutious about their products. i saw where advancedatv gave them a good rating on their steering stem. also, you must have new shocks. the stock shocks would be too weak for you to do anything with except maybe ride in your yard. works triple rate shocks with out the rez are the best bang for the buck.

i read on advancedatv.com that the cannondales had a problem with the tie rods hitting the frame at full suspension drop. they were using +2 a-arms and it was markingup the frame pretty good. they were using a steering stem from huoser and they said it fixed the problem and actually turned easier. check out the site. it was pretty good info.

Jbomb - Yeah, you CAN use the stock shocks, but if you do, I hope you don't mind your frame slammin into the ground. Even on small jumps that you only get about 4 or 5 feet of air on, the frame would hit the ground. You hit a big jump and it won't be fun. If you buy new shocks, go w/ Elka, or if you're a little tight on cash, buy some Works. You don't have to get all fancy on the shocks... just as long as they fit, anything would be better than leaving the stockers on there. New shocks are a whole lot better than constantly repairing the frame.

MXdale71 is correct about the shocks. I put Works on my +2 Arm'ed 250r, a hunderd times better than stock. The stock length Works shocks added almost 2" of travel. I'm a medinm speed trail rider and a little sand so I didn't need to spend a grand on shocks. You will need longer brake lines no question's or debate on that.
