Terry warned me of that. You should be able to send it to your dealer and get it covered under warranty. Terry would give you credit towards a aftermarket pipe. I think it's $325 for the muffler, so that'd get you any slip on you want. Just a thought.

LOL....well about 2 weeks ago the insides of my "toaster" silencer came loose; which I removed without too much trouble, but the mounting flange that makes a tight seal between the pipe and silencer went with it...exhaust leak at the joint...no big deal since I plan to buy a pipe anyways I figured. Saturday after landing a couple dozen jumps I noticed that the rear mount on the silencer had broken...at the silencer itself...a big ol' hole in the side of the silencer. Not a gripe, but just giving you all a heads up to look for cracks at the silencer rear mount(on the silencer itself) and Cannondale probably needs to switch from the "toaster" to maybe a silencer that resembles a refrigerator........JIM

Jim,
Would Terry give me a credit even though I didn't buy my quad through him? I would much rather get credit towards another exhaust than get the toaster replaced....lol. Can you give me more details? Did you mean Terry gives 325.00 credit on the silencer alone? Thanks..........JIM

Cannondale,

I would switch to a nineteen fifties style waffle iron pattern.

The waffle evens the stress out for no cracks, just even ridges and valleys that hold the juice.

LOL, well they've got the HUGE paper towel role silencer down, and then the toaster silencer... why not a refigerator? Although the waffle iron would be a good choice, this IS 2002... They should use a George Foreman grill style silencer, or maybe go for a egg shape?
