Jbomb,

That was my thread. Here's the important info that came out of the post:

I just talked to Joey at Ohlins.(pronounced Oh-leens, I was corrected, lol) $1400 for custom front shocks. Fully adjustable, triple rate and rezzs.
looking at $120 to re-valve the front shocks, $65 spring assy., $15 for collar, and something else for $7. Same cost for the rear. So I'm looking at about $600 total. This would give me non-adjustable triple rate shocks dialed in for my weight and riding style.

Maybe this will help with your decision. I just got done talking to Lazrus (sp) at GT Thunder and he said he can upgrade the stock Ohlins fronts on the Speed for $500 . What the up-grade incluses is triple rated shock w/ remote ressy w/ compression adjustment, on top of that they are ZPS shocks too!!!! All that for $500 bucks and he said that the shocks don't need to be revalve with this up-grade. Here is their website GT Thunder.
And their Phone number is (330)674-7122. I plan on having him do mine at the end of the season, since I'm in the 4-stroke stock class right now.

Fastest aftermarket shocks? That would be any place that sells Works shocks. But, I wouldn't get a pair....just my opinion. I'd call the Quad Shop again and get a set of Elkas. Your looking at about 2 weeks. Or call Nacs about PEPS.

Oh, no. The Pro series are good. They have the better bushings and stuff. I was talking about the Steelers.

Yeah, I'd Ebay the shocks. They fit a 250r or a 400ex also.

I read somewhere not too long ago that someone was rebuilding and adding reservoirs to the stock Speeds shocks for around $500. Does anyone have the name and number to that place? thanks.

Thanks for the info. I am going to give GT Thunder a call. That sounds like a great deal.

Where would be the fastest place to get a set of aftermarket front shocks from?

Now you tell me. I ordered a set of Works pro series earlier today. They have threaded preload and are compression adjustable. This should be an improvement over stock shouldn't it? They had them in stock and I need them by Wednesday. Are the stock Speed shocks worth anything? I only have 2 hours on them. Thanks for the help!!!
