I agree with your thoughts 100% Chet. It's absurd that the Z400 was the top pick on an MX track. I could have maybe bought those results on the trail.....but not in the C-dales forte! The funny part is when the slower riders are introduced to ride and evaluate!

You folks got F'd. I never seen such a bias article in my life. Clearly influenced at the corporate level.

apparently the mags don't think you want quads that win races or handle better when it counts. the Z actually wins by Looks and a &quot;smoother powerband&quot;.

Absolutley no points for original or inovative design. In fact they go on and on how suzuki clearly copied the ex chasis...and praised them for sticking to what works.

they should have had more to say about the C-dales chasis...all aluminum, moduler design.
and what the hell is smoother than fuel injection.

Funniest thing of all was reading this on the crapper. yep i pulled the mag from the mailbox and ran to the toilet to relieve some back pressure. so fitting. lets just say the sound effects matched the article.

C-dales are awesome and i commend you all for purchasing and giving them a fair shot in this market. articles like this certainly don't help. The mags should be embaressed they rolled over for suzuki.

and i happen to like the looks of the c-dales...i think they should change the colors to resemble frogs. hey it shaped like one. it jumps. go with it. those poison dart tree frogs look cool...endless patterns. someone from cannondale marketing should give me a call ASAP.

anyways You can always roost the s out of any Z's you come a cross to avenge the bogus article. What are the gonna do. they can't catch ya.

How could they run a Z on a MX track, from what I here you can't jump the Z over 4' without bending the axel, this was a MX track wasn't it? Did it have jumps? how many axles did it take to finish the shootout?

I'm just pissed cause I want a Z without the bent axle problems!

What I want to know is where is the trail part of this test?
Upper right hand corner says Track &amp; TRAIL test.

Also where are the track lap times and drag times? Why can't they show the facts instead of just saying the Cannondale is fastest so we can see the difference.

They also say in the article that the Z400 seat is 1/2&quot; higher than the 400EX but then you look in the specifications and it's the same.

If you haven't noticed the editors have fallen in love with reverse and electric start. Must be getting lazy in there &quot;Old&quot; age. They need some fresh test riders and writers. I actually like 4 wheel ATV Action better than dirtwheels.

I agree the Cannondale shouldn't have been in this shootout in the first place. Not too many people on these forums are comparing the 400ex and z400 to the Cannondales. Should have had Z400 vs. Raptor and then when the rest of the 2003 machines arrive do a full blown shootout then. Oh wait that's less issues sold at the newstand. They want to milk everything they can out of new quads so they get rich in the process. Seems they care more about money than the quads.

I don't think any of the other manufactures are going to follow Cannadales approach. They will be the only ones with fuel injection and the only other company to use an aluminum frame would be Honda but I don't think they want to spend the money.
