NittroT,

You can keep the stock mapping and change the exhaust. You will get more HP if you go to the Blaze or Moto map but it depends what kind of ridding you do; if you want a higher rev limit you could go with the Speed map. I used to have a Cannibal with stock mapping and an HMF an it ran great.

I need rpms for the dunes. What mapping would I need Knowsalot?? I will race mx also, but all of my riding is done in the dunes so I need revs...

I put those Raptor Dunlops on and the gearing is a bit short, because the tires are smaller then the stock Holeshots.. I'll try the gearing thing. Maybe a 14 on front.....

I use a custom tailored map as well and I didn't even have him add the extra grand to my rev limit either.

The Moto map.

Another thing you may want to try is alter your gearing.

Get another set of sprockets and chain at a higher ratio for duning. The Cannondales have more than enough power to pull taller gearing.

Just change them around as needed. 30 minutes of preparation before a ride is nothing when it gives you the results you are looking for.

The rear sprocket is the same as used on the 250R/300EX/400EX, so there are plenty of sizes to choose from.

Mike, you are right about not HAVING to re-map with an exhaust change, but you do have to change your air/fuel fixture to "jet" according to your conditions whether you change the mapping or not.

Also, while the re-map isn't a neccessity with an exhaust change, it does take full advantage of the pipe addition.

All the Cannondales come stock slightly on the rich side, that's why yours probally ran fine without any changes, but making these changes makes a bigger difference than you might think. Get off of one and onto another and you will see what I mean.

They have different power curves. I haven't ridden a moto or blaze, so I don't know exactly what the difference is.

Some aftermarket companies like Trinity will probably be coming out with some "custom" maps. I think they use a completely different map for Jeremy Schell.

You will have to get your computer remapped also. You can chose between a blaze or a motto!

my mistake

If you put on an aftermarket exhaust on a stock Cannibal do you have to do any other modifications such as any adjustments to the Feul injectors or any thing else?

Whas the diffeance between the blaze and the Moto maps? Performance wise

Posted by: NittroT

Ill mostly be riding trails. Is the Blaze map the best for trails?

actually I beleive with a aftermarket exhaust on a cannibal you have to get the blaze or moto remap. The speed has the same exhaust as the cannibal and if you upgrade the speed you have to upgrade the map so...well you understand!
