From Laramie, WY go south on 230 which turns into 127 in Colorado then 125. Just stay on the same road and this will take you towards Cowdrey, CO. Between the 127/125 junction and Cowdrey go East on a dirt road to the dunes OR as Disturbed said, you can take a left just after the fence, right past mile marker 6 I believe There is also a house or cabin to the left, then a cattle gaurd right off the road. In fact, just to make sure you guys can see it, I will be putting a broke dune flag where you need to turn. So look for a broken whip w/ an orange flag just past mile marker six.. Turn left, then right over the cattle guard. After a few minutes you will come up to a T in the road, go left and follow this to the dunes. I would recommend drving left all the way to the crapper, then going down the hill and finding somewhre down there. More shade and less wind (if there is wind) I will be there either Friday morning or Thursday night, depending on howthings go with my ex-girlfriend. Ill let you guys know... Look for a Black 2001 ford Ranger Ext. cab and a red/Black banshee.

hey trout, i sat on one at twin peaks powersports (longmont), looked like a yellow raptor too me but when i sat on it felt more like a 400ex way small too me, but yea it looks way sweet. i like the color of the frame.

ok trout go up 287 to lararmie then get off at HW 80.. it loops around for about 2 miles and then u want to get off at the snowyrange exit, it goes down to a stop light, go left under the under pass, u will see a sinclar gas station, mcdonalds ( stop whatever, last gas station the way)get back on the snowy range going west, there will be a y stay right (left is woods landing) ur go through the mountains for 30mins u get out of the mountains and go into valley road has a hard left then keep going on snowyrange, the turnoff is on the left side little after a old wood fence then fallow the road to caming area's, i'll let u find the dunes!

hows that roostking?
if u go have orange tape around ur grab bar/flag!!!!

Boy, Suzuki is really giving us guys in the South fits. No dealer within 300 miles from here hasd one yet[unless they came today].

From what I've read, the Suzuki is going to be a super nice quad. It is going to appeal to alot of woods racers for sure with the reverse.[You guys should see some of the courses that we run]

We are supposed to get our shipment of the Z400's this week sometime[cross your fingers]. I will post my thoughts on the quad after I ride it.

Congrats to Suzuki for releasing anything other than another QuadRunner.

Rode one today from usa motor sports in goodyear was not impressed 400ex feels more stable and not much less power. due to the fact that you can buy the 400ex and install a 440 kit and bye bye Z400 for about the same price i don't think there that good of a deal.and lets face it we already know all the flaws in the 400ex.and have learned how to deal with them.so for all you bummed honda boy's don't sweat it.there not that far ahead of you.

Posted by: AZSAND

Yes but no one pay's that much for a 400ex.the one my daughter slaughterd me on was 2002 out the door was 5,219 and 890.0 mods and you wil pay msrp for awhile on the z400 im not saying there not worth buying. just remmber the frist season of the rappy.and the ds a lot was lost to buyers on these bad boy's.

The MSRP might be the same as the 400EX but as Trout stated, the price he saw on the Z400 was $6399, that's some serious dealer prep charges if you ask me!! I realize tax is included in that price probably. And you know Honda will now start discounting the 400EX to make the price gap even more. For a couple hundred more dollars, buy the Cannibal (built in USA BTW) and have the best quad available.

Went to fay Myers motorsports here in denver, man that place is HUGE!! Ill bet you dollars to donuts the building alone is 2 acres, no SH*t. anyways they had three Z400's two were sold and the third was just waiting to be bought. They look cool I think. Sat on it, it felt good, like everyone said it felt like a raptor, but not as high, the seat heighth felt really good. The swingarm is funky looking in person, it is literally square and flat. But the frame looked really sweet the tubing is fatter/larger diameter than the 400EX sitting right next to it. I wish I could have ridden it, but the OTD costs was 6399$ heck you might as well get a Dale, only a little more, and way better, but anyways just reporting on my find today. way to go suzuki.

disturbed, how far away is walden? I might try to set that up with my riding buddies. well see.
Were going to gypsum this weekend to ride some trails.

I PM you just a little bit ago, do I needa freaking sticker? do I have to have a flag thing? hope I dont run into anyone. we got a crew that would love to race ya, modded 250r's and my Cdale so well ahve to do some racing if it works out, how the hell am I going to find you?

Posted by: trout

no man, dont have paddles, so I probably wont be winning any drags huh? I have the stock hholeshots, are they any good in the sand, or will it suck a** ?? is it worth it without paddles?

Posted by: zukiscott

azsand, the msrp on the z400 is the same as the msrp on the 400ex. for the price of piping, jetting, and putting the 440 kit in the 400ex you can pipe, jet, and add the yoshimura rev kit to the z400. adding the pipe and rev kit on the drz400/e/s motors completely changes them. the revkit bumps the rev limiter up to 11,000 rpm and the cams make it pull through the midrange and top end like a yz426. the 400ex is a nice machine, but i can't see not wanting to spend the same money on a machine that is supposed to handle just as good, be faster, and has reverse.

I wish someone could ride one and give a report.
