4strokemadman is right.
you best be using a torque wrench when doing any maintenance. to much is bad and to little is bad ..and a bunch of bolts not at the same torque is bad

Because the sprocket is aluminum and the carrier is aluminum they take a "set" due to the bolt tension. If you torque the bolts back up to the correct spec the bolts shouldn't come loose again. I beleive the manual talks about tightening these bolts up after about an hour of riding. Loctite always helps but if the bolts aren't torqued correctly it won't help. Overtightening will just stretch the bolts and cause them to come loose as well.

as i mentioned in another post, the bolts on my sprocket came loose soon after I checked them and wore away at the side of my swingarm. it took a pretty good chunk out of the swingarm, so I advise you to make sure your bolts are tight every 30 minutes or so, because I had only been riding a little. i emailed cannondale about this so hopefully they will do something to stop this.

what would they do to fix it? Use loc-tite, and thats about it. The stuff isn't expensive, just go through your machine one night and put it everywhere. Have you had to adjust your valves yet CornDog?
