Spend 500 dollars and the raptor has 49, what do you have to spend on the cannon to get 49? Those results can be seen. Where can i find charts for the 40 to 42 hp corndog? I would like to see the cannon graph. Does it build power to 11000 rpm or start dropping at 8500? Thanks.

The 2001 FX with a HMF silencer and remap on the 500 fuel system has 40 hp at the real wheels and those holeshots slippin', did it myself at HMF. Email me a fax number and I'll send any of you a graph. The cert of origin does have some undervalued hp figure, as they all do.

Yeah that Raptor is in the low 30's, and it wheighs more than the dales.

49 HP out of a Raptor with only 500 dollars is gonna be pretty darn tough. Stock is 35.6, (according to the dirt wheels pipe shootout) a jump that big is gonna take alot more money.

61 also sounds like alot. I'm not an expert on this so I'm not saying anyones wrong just wondering how you guys can get this much power.

42 horsepower, considering it is the fastest production atv it should be fine for you and fit you well.

<< One other thing to consider is it has the best power to weight ratio of any quad on the market today, so although it probably has less HP than a Raptor(although it might have more) it also weighs XX pounds less than a Raptor. >>

WTF?????!!!!!!! a stock cdale has more hp than a stock raptor!!!!!! are you just joking around? a stock raptor has 35 and a stock cdale has 40-42 hp. you sure you aren't joking????

that pipe stuff is crap on dirtwheels according to many raptor owners i have talked to... w/ a pipe and a map i can get 61 hp out of the cannibal.

<<

<< I have heard the 61 HP deal before, but only on these forums. If it does make that much power, that would be sweet, considering a Trinity stage 4 Zilla puts out about 15 more HP than the C-Dale would with the map, that quad must haul ball's!! >>

And the only person who has said 61 HP is corndog/sleeping catfish.
According to cannondale, the cannibal is 33HP stock @ 380 lbs.
I have no idea where that 42 stock came from.

and they also give 28 hp for the raptor!!!!! those numbers are all rat sh*t, just like you.

Well, I don't know about 61 horses but 49hp is easily in reach with $500. I used to look down on the Raptors because it seems like all the owners really got their heads stuck up there asses pretty far, but a piped Raptor at the track today almost kind of hung with me off the gate. None of us rode very hard with all the mud and all but the Raptors seem to have good power. A little off subject, but I thought I should tell Briansgi something. In the last round of practice, I was going up to this camel back and I could hear someone haulin balls behind me so I just rolled the camel and just as I came over the first hump of the camel, Johnny Hale jumped over me (not directly over me but over to my left). Brian, if you talk to Johnny sometime soon, ask him if he remembers practically jumping over to the left of a Cannibal at Badlands MX track. If he says yes, that was me... it was pretty cool. I'm excited about the race next week. I won't ride hard and will probably be at the back of the pack but I'm just there to have fun. I'll get better as I go. Brian, e-mail me sometime. We got just about everything figured out for LS. Talk to ya later man.

anybody know what horsepower the c-dale puts out and its top speed?
Would it suit a 6'2" rider.

I don't think too many people would argue your facts about spending $500 on the Raptor and you can get 49HP, but HP isn't the Raptor's problem, it's got plenty of power and especially torque even in it's stock configuration. The Raptor's problem lies in it's design, it's to top heavy. It does not handle well because of this and it weighs more than it needs to. It even feels heavy when you ride it and especially if you try jumping with it. I'm not trashing the Raptor because it has it's place, I just sold mine and was a decent quad while I had it but other than it's engine design with the 5 valves, it's old technology compared to the C'dales with it's aluminum frame and EFI.

My bad, I don't really know the HP of these quads, I just figured the Rap. would have more.

The Raptor is pretty choked up so it wouldn't be that diffucult to get close to 50 HP out of it.
