You had better make sure that Brand Spankin' new FX is from a dealer and not an individual before you buy it. The warranty is not transferable, and neither are the free updates. They only apply to the original owner according to the warranty papers I got when I bought my FX400.

Unless you are w/o a quad ,you may want wait one year & save some money.I paid suggested retail price for the 2000 DS because they new.Now you can buy them alot cheaper. This will probably be true with the new cannondales.

I don't know, but there is an FX in the Cycle Trader this week for $5500 brand spankin' new. Makes me want to do something crazy.....like BUY IT!!!!

The dealership I went to told me $6,895 for the canibal. But they also said that they are making 4 different quads with 4 different names and 4 different prices. I guess one will be set up for MX, one for scrambles and so on. As soon as I get rid of my Polaris Trailboss there will be a Cannondale in my garage.

Man, that power to weight chart is wacky.

Honda 400EX, 21 HP? Raptor, 28 HP?

umm, if im not mistaken... (im not) the 400EX has about 28HP at the wheels.
The Raptor makes about 36 HP at the wheels.

The Honda only weights 374 lbs, not 389.
The Raptor weighs in at like, 390, 400 maybe.

What a bunch of crap.

I'm reading in here for the first time and I'm looking to buy a new quad. I've been looking at the 400EX and the Raptor but would like something different (just the way I am). So far I was going to go with the 400 but if the Cannibal isnt to expensive I might do that? What are they running?

Yea, I've been to the site but couldnt find an MSRP on it. I think I just might get one.

Test weight for the Raptor in ATV Action was 412 and 379 for the 400EX with one gallon of fuel, gasoline weighs about 7.6#'s so the dry weight still is above 400 by those numbers. They also tested the Cannondale at around 38hp at the wheels so the numbers look low across the board, probably a result of using a different chassis dyno which is very common. There is no doubt that the Cannondale has the best power to weight ratio.
