cdaleRacer I just got off the phone with Graydon and they like the C-dale a lot. They have made a radiator grill guard and new radiator scoops they should be out soon

Hey CDaleRacer, I just noticed you live in Arkansas. Have you ever been to Wolf Pen Gap in Mena? We might have to meet up there some weekend. It's only a 3 hour drive from my house.

Sounds good C-Dale racer. I know what you mean about the milage thing.. I don't think I will be able to swing Loretta's. My track is running a series starting sept. 15th and won't be over until november. Well, Im sure we can hook up with some friends and ride up there. I have a bunch of guys on EX's, and bikes..

CdaleRacer your impressions are pretty close to the ones that I have posted here, glad to see others that have had the same experiances with their FX's, all the mags opinions don't mean sqwaut in the real world.

I notice you complain about the throttle position, thats funny cause I had no problem with that but I didn't like the placing of the kill switch housing, it dug into my left thumb knuckle when I was riding, since the hand grip has no collar to slide up against. I loosened the allens and turned the switch up 90 deg. and was able to slide it closer to the starter switch and is much better. You could get diffrent hand gripes with collars but I like the feel of the stock ones.

My Cannondale had to be replaced by cannondale because the engine was fried, but like you said I haven't been beat in Drags either. I love this bike.

The Raptor can get sometimes get me out of first gear, but after that it is probably as you know over and done with. By the way how do you like the back of Cannondales? Nice right!

Posted by: SpankinRaptors

garyc660r No really though I have yet to be beat. I actually beat a raptor down at Sand Mountain in Utah, he was piped and filtered. I was beat by him though right before my engine blew.

CdaleRacer What kind of additions do you have for your cannondale? Could you send me Part #'s or a Phone # of where I can get intouch with someone who can get me parts for my bike. Thanks A-Lot.

To be perfectly honest with you I don't know if it has the adjustable Fuel Injection, Plaza Cycle won't let me take it because of the recall on the front bearings. I'll let you know when I find out. It may just have it because my origanal bike was the 97th off the production line, and now i'm getting a 2002.

CdaleRacer do you by any chance know their web site or Phone #? Graydon or RS Performance.

I have been reading every thing that you guy's have been saying about the cannondale for about two months now. I bought mine almost two months ago and decided not to say any thing until I was able to put in some real seat time on it. I can't hold out any longer. Every thing has already been said about the C-dale both good and bad, but here are my thoughts anyway. The power is very strong but,it feels more like a two stroke than a four stroke. The engine never quits pulling, revs to the moon and has a hard hit in the mid(compared to all other four strokes I've ridden). The chassis is a work of art. The Ohlins shocks if set up right are the best I've seen on a production Quad. My C-dale handles well on a tacky SX track. I have
to use quite a bit of body english though,it could be a little wider
for tight tracks. On a MX track it should rule. I do wish that they
would have put a steering damper on it, it needs one bad when going
fast through the rough stuff. A few things That impress me are the
little stuff like steel braided break lines, extra wide foot pegs,
aluminum shifter, quick disconnect plastic fuel tank, good quality chain and sprockets, aluminum rear brake lever, and replacable threaded brass inserts for any bolt that goes into the frame.I have'nt had any problems with my C-dale yet. I also have'nt been beat in a drag race so far. I've raced raptors and a banshee with a complete vitos engine kit(that's what he told me he had AFTER we raced anyway). I give Cannondale an A+ on what they have done to and for the sport. The only major complait that I have is the position of the thumb throttle. It puts your right hand in a very bad angle, dose anyone have a fix for this.

You can contact RS Performance and Graydon Proline, SpankinRaptors. I've never heard of RS Performance until I started reading the forums,it seems like they are a very good place to deal with, but I don't know for shure. Graydon, I know are good people and products, they are a little slow but what can you expect when you have a quad some people have never even heard of(Dennis Kirk). The only mods I have are Tag T2 handle bars and Graydon Nerf bars. I realy don't know of any other places making any thing else.Denton Racing is working on some things but nothing is available yet.Does you new Cdale have the adjustable fuel injection, I want to get it for mine and was wondering what it is like.

Posted by: CdaleRacer

Moto24 I did the same with the kill button and also switched the kill and start button places. I didnt like the thought of the kill button being that close to my hand, you never know! The problem with the throttle may just be me but it seems like the lever is to far up (to close to the bottom of the housing)and the angle to far forward(toward me). I saved my grips and put them on my new bars,I like them alot also. I'm going to order up a bunch of them in case they change the design up. They will probably be like $25.00 a set(just kiding)hee hee.

Lonestarbanshee Ive never been there before,It would be great to meet up there and ride (I always like to meet other ATVers). The only problem is that I live all the way across the state of Arkansas from Mena,Im about 35 miles northwest of Memphis,TN. I know my quad would be fine but Im trying to cut the mileage back alittle on my S-10. That thing is making even more engine noise than my C-DALE (HA)! For real though let me know alitte bit more about this place and I may make the trip sometime if its a real good place to ride. Im going to Loretta Lynn's this year to race(If I dont get hurt before then) if you come look me up. I should be easy to find #31 C-Dale, silver and purple(or a light Blue low rider ext.cab) S-10 PICK-EM-UP truck. If I do get to come to Mena It will be after Oct. Im running in a series points race at my local track starting this weekend and lasting till then.
