Currently have two stock 2003 Polaris Trailblazer 400's (no tachometers on these). I adjusted the carb on each for 2-6000 feet - 200mains, 3rd clip, 1.75 turn air screw. Typically use: air temp is 60-80 degrees F, WA state and British Columbia mountain roads, trails. Occasionally used at sea level beach/trail. Seems to run pretty good - low smoke. At high elevation - roughly 6000' - the idle is a bit slow, to the point where the throttle needs a bit of feathering to keep running - but at lower elevations (2-4000) it idles smoothly. I think my older Polaris snowmobile clutch tools (XLT, Ultra) will work on these ATV's. Looks like I'll need to obtain a secondary clutch puller.
Q1. I need a clutch kit(s), primarily for 2-6000 ft, occassionally for sea level. Realize this may involve two kits. Preference is to have good low end/mid range performance. Top end performance is secondary to low/mid. What do you guys have available?
Q2. Wondering if an EBS secondary could be put on a 400 Trailblazer. Would really like this for chugging down some of the 20-25% grades. Do you have anything that would work?
