I have a Hot Seat lower bushing for my steering post and am having a problem with it binding upon install. When I install the bushing assembly withiout the steering post the assembly sits perfectly into the chassis, but the steering post wont drop into the bushing. I can slide the bushing up on the steering post when not in the chassis, but when I set the post and bushing into the chassis as an assembly the bushing wont sit down flat on the chassis. I even tried slowly tightening the mounting screws to draw the bushing down, but then the steering post is bound up to tight to turn. I thought maybe my steering post was bent, because there is a small bend just above the upper bushing area, but I can't see where this would cause a problem, when everything worked before I started changing parts. Today I ordered a Hot Seat Lightweight steerign post and I'm hoping this fixes the problem.
I'm just wondering if anybody else has had any fitting issues with these bushings and what would be some good advice or tricks to getting everything to work right?
