On a side note, how do you like the power of the 450?

I bought a new 2007 Rhino 450 today and am very pleased with it.. well all but one tiny aspect. As I was looking at the front of the vehicle I noticed that the oil cooler was VERY unprotected and would only take a single hit from just the right angle to put the Rhino down. After getting home and riding with my son thru some overgrown fields close to home sure enough, when I looked at the cooler some of the fins are bent down from having been hit by the stuff growing in the fields. Now, I dont know what the vegatation was but it was not wood or tree limbs!!
Does anyone out there have any suggestions for guards for the open area under the plastic parts on the stock bumper? I am thinking that if a winch was installed it would shield the cooler. Seems to me this is a very poor design to have the coolers up front and TOTALLY unprotected.

I would have loved to have gotten the 660 but paying almost $2500 more was just not an option. At that price I could almost buy a small country! I believe that the 450 will have more than enough power for my needs and everything that I read says that the engine and transmission on the 450 can spin the tires in the mud.

Check www.everythingoffroad.com, they sell a radiator guard for the Rhino. Or, you can make one out of rabbit wire thats used for fences. Check any hardware store. A few feet of wire, and some auto hose clamps, and you'll be all set.
