Ranger 6x is way smoother than you think, almost as fast and ain't gettin stuck.I have the 05 4x and it's a fine machine.Had an 04it rode rougher but used less fuel and hooked up better me thinks.

Hey chris, another alaskan grizz owner here. You're stepping up to 6x6 like some of my friends did, hey. I take it you don't plan on going down the same alaska trails as you did with the grizz. I hope you don't realize what you got into when you're up to your crotch in alaska black swamp mud and you realize they are sooo much lead. My buddy got rid of his new Rhino after one trip this summer. good luck!

if you like the power of the rhino, but want the ranger, go to your dealer and ask about the ranger XP (700CC motor w/ EFI) its not listed on the website as its a limated edition, but its suposedly able to kick the snot outa the rhino

i cant wait to read the review you make about the XP, it better be good maybe include some video clips if you can.

the quality dosnt have to be great, but having it there would make a better spotlight on the vehical at hand also alowing people to see what its like from a first person perspective, maybe strapping it to the hood while you drive, or duct taping it to the undercarrige so people can see the independed suspention in work. i donno

Hello All,
I'm new to this forum, and from what I've read there is alot of info out there. I currently own an 02 Griz 660 that I'd run aginst anything out there. I live in Alaska and ride in some very unforgiving terrain. I'm looking to sell my Griz and step into a Rhino or a Ranger 6x6. I just test drove a 6x6 yesterday and was imprest, even drove it on 15"of semi hard snow and only sank down 2-3inches. The 6 tires was nice less weight per sq inch. But don't like the 60" width. I like to trail ride and the 54" width of the Rhino. They both have there ups and downs. My wife likes the Ranger for the 3 seats and the Rhino only has two, but I did read somewhere that I can't find someone has a Rhino and he build a seat and a roll cage in the bed for his kids. I'd like to see his rig.
Well if anyone can help me, let me know.

Chris

I have both Rhino and Rangers. Both 500 and new xp700. I chose the Ranger because of the 3 seats up front. I also take grandkids in the back, bought the side and is safe. We tried the trax on it for deep snow is the only way to go. But be careful of the brand because there is alot of difference in the way they perform in the snow. The width of the Ranger is one draw back, I have tried to go some places where it is too wide but I just go some where else so it has never been a problem. I have the cab, heater, wipers and console with XM radio and love it. Second best thing my wife and I have done since we got married.
