If it's only too tall by a couple of inches, then just flatten the tires before you load it.

What did you pay for it?
thanks

Oh, and lower the preload on the shocks so that the rhino sits lower.

welcome aboard!!!!
get a good running start and,,,,,,ah nevermind
time for a choptop,,,,or a new trailer might be in order

I imagine you have been razzed by enough people by now.. but you really should have thought of that before laying out the green stuff.. You can't modify the trailer.. so it looks like a new one is in order. You can special order trailers these days with extra height and taller doors if you still want an enclosed trailer... If you go this way, make sure you give yourself some extra height in the door area in case you ever want to put taller aftermarket tires on it.

On another website, they discussed the same issues... and one gentleman suggested putting his wife in on the passenger side... with both of them on board, there was just enough sag in the suspension to make it work.... he did mention that he had to make sure he pulled further into the trailer since he had a toyhauler with a pull down bed over the rear door and when they got out, it hit the cage on the bed...
Either way, the man is braver than I to suggest his wife made the difference... Mrs Dragginbutt would skin me alive and chase me with a broom if I had said that...
Good luck with your project.

You know that is a simple common sense approach that may solve many people's problem and is a lot easier than removing the cage every time you want to ride.... thanks for sharing that...
I would have come up with something a whole lot harder to pull off, and probably much more costly..... My only suggestion would be to not leave the suspension in a compressed mode while in the trailer for too long.... it would tend to fatigue the coils over time I believe.

Contact www.blackrhinoperformance.com , they are coming out with a shortened roll bar that looks way better.

Here is the one I got. I think it looks WAY better. Rhino Cage 1 Rhino Cage 2

We are in the process of making the first run of roll bars for BRP. I'm not sure if they have them on the website yet, but if you are interested I believe you can order one, just call and get on the list.

I don't know too much about UTV's, but I would assume that the Rhino has at least 8" of suspension travel. Couldnt you use ratchet straps between the axle and the frame (or control arms or whatever it has) to compress the suspension all the way down?

Well, he said that he doesn't trailer it very often. And I wouldnt do it for a long trip. I couldnt find the aftermarket roll bars mentioned in the above posts, but a new set of springs after a few years might still be cheaper than a new roll bar? (I know that is poor logic, but it might justify it for some).

New Guy Here!
I took delivery of a Rhino last week - and LIKE IT. But, the roll cage is too tall for my Wells Cargo motorcycle trailer. I had the same issue when I bought my tractor last year; however, as the tractor roll bar is a very simple design, QD fastners made it an an easy fix. The Rhino cage is a little busy for a QD application and the only other choice I see involves a torch and multiple sleeves.............................any thoughts or ideas?
BTW: Nice forum you all have here!

I wish letting out the air would work (good idea though)..................however, I need about 8" (my life's story). I thought about a different trailer; but, this ones paid for and I kinda like it (for my motorcycles). Looks like it may be time to buy a cheap flat bed to haul the tractor and Rhino - what the heck, its only money.
I bought the Rhino for $8900 from Destination Cycle in Kerrville Texas. Nice folks all around!

Nah...not too much razzing. I didn't buy the Rhino for recreation as much as I did for work around the property.....and it has done that well. I purchased my enclosed trailer to haul my Ducati sportbikes to and from the track and on vacation......and it also serves its purpose well. There are just one or two times a year that I thought it may be nice to take the Rhino out to play (camping, hunting, etc). I've got an open trailer to use whenever I need and that is the current solution until I rationalize buying one to haul my tractor and Rhino.

In the motorcycle world, a greater than 30% continuous compression of the springs is considered a no-no as it leads to sacking. I debated that with a friend a few years ago.........and then later helped him rebuild his front forks after a 1500 mile trailering.

I bought one today and had the same problem. I had to take the rollbar off. I was going to try and let air out of the tires and see if it fits. Will let you know.
