whats happening is the airfilter getting wet causing this condition, next time after washing it remove airfilter and dry it out, also when washing it cover up the handlebar switches with a rag, and you shouldn't have this problem again, also do what oneOone says dielectric grease in the connectors and use liquid electrical tape and cover all connectors and cdi unit, you can buy the electrial tape from walmart $6 a can enought to do 6 atvs

my son has a baby 110 falcon and when you wash it or riding through a mud hole it start popping like water maybe getting in some place you have to hold the throttle down and then it will clear up

You need to put deielectric grease on all electrical conections, will make a huge differance on water crossing and puddle jumping and wrap it all up with electrical tape, also make sure your air filter is protected (collects a lot of collatoral damage, water / mudd spray) and of course loc-tite all the nuts and bolts..
hope this helps
