Go to the Arctic Cat forum and look for 'air-jetting'

Your air/fuel mix screw is only for your Pilot jet system (idle to 1/8 throttle), above that then the main jet is the dominate factor and can't be adjusted other than changing it. A dial-a-jet system $80 would allow your to rejet in about 10 seconds. Turning in the pilot screw will make the pilot system lean, turning it out will make it rich.
You may want to think about making a box. or route a big hose off your carb to be up and away from your engine and attach your air filter at the outer end of the hose.

DAMN! I need that dial-a-jet. I had never heard of that.
Jetmotoracer, look up my thread on the snorkle. That is the same as a cold air, only you could run it elsewhere if you like. It works very well. I still don't have my quad running (still waiting on a sprocket........) I don't remember where I stopped with the jetting, but it was a MUCH bigger jet and it was still lean. I was having trouble at the 15-25% throttle mark. Once it got over that hump, it seemed to be close to perfect on the top. I'll bet it's actually much too rich around the 20% mark, and lean on the bottom. I'm going to wait to get the sprocket in to have the quad tuned and I'm going to mention the dial-a-jet.
