Well, the good news is that chain breaker will pay for itself in the future.

While it's never fun to be yelled at, keep in mind that your parents are being, well, parents. You'll be surprised someday when you start acting the same way.

jetmotoracer, billl2099 is right about that shop. If you bought the chain from them and they wont cut it to length for you. You should look for a new shop to buy from.

before ording a new chain take the old chain soak it overnite in oil, as long as the chain isn't streight out this should work, also if you cut the chain to short you can buy a other master link at your local atv parts store and add some links from the chain that was cut off

no wonder you have chain problems if the jetmoto uses a small 428 chain, most almost all chinese and japanese 250's use a 520 or a 530 chain, chainese usally takes the 530 chain, the 50-110 use the 428 chain

i feel sorry for you your parents had no right to cuss at you for making a simple mistake. second the chain should have been cut for free, my wife and i owned a shop from the early 80's till the mid 90's and never charge a dime to cut somebodys chain weather the brought from us or not, with a good chain breaker takes less then a minute and this is plain good customer service, i wouldn't go back to them.

Do a search. I believe it's a DID 428-120 chain

It's a 428 pitch chain and you need 120 links

Yup. The 428 is STUPID on this thing. It should be a bigger chain. However, the DID chain has been reported to last forever on this quad (it's very light), it's just the stock chain is a peice of crap. It won't last more than 30 hours IMHO.

No, Jetmotoracer, you don't actually use all 120 links. You have to cut a couple off to get it to fit. I've not done it yet because I'm waiting on my new rear sprocket.
