I think this Jetmoto 150 could be just the quad for my 10 year old son, who has been riding a heavily modified Raptor 80 since he was 5. Check out my pix. I could put him on a 250 Phoenix or Can-Am Rally, but I think they are too heavy, and the Can-Am is a little tippy. He has ridden everything, even a Hawkeye, but I am concerned about the weight. At 314 lbs and 43" wide this little Jetmoto 150 could be just the thing for my 80 lb son. Is there an electronic speed control like I am seeing on a lot of new minis? I find it incredible that adults are riding these by the way. The new CPSC age guidelines are going to allow this type of ATV for kids as long as they are speed controlled.
My older son wants me to stick a different engine in the Raptor 80, since we did so much work to the chassis and suspension, widening it by 10 inches, with full Works shocks, increasing travel from 2" to 7". It was in ATV Action back in Sept of 2002. But the boy wants reverse, and an automatic transmission.....I understand, my new Renegade is going to make my DS jealous.

I just ordered two 150 sport Jetmotos. I am a Polaris, Suzuki and Can-Am dealer, and am quite frankly dissapointed with their offerings in this segment. They are way too heavy for one thing. The Phoenix and Rally are 50 lbs heavier than a Z-400, as are most of the quads in this technically challenged segment. So I am going to try JetMoto and see what they are like. As I am out here in Silver City New Mexico, there isn't much chance of me seeing one of these without buying one, so I am going to take the plunge.
Does anyone have any experience with these at altitude? We are at 6,000 ft elevation and rejetting is pretty much a given. I understand that these have Japanese carburators, so that should be a really big plus.
Our Polaris Phoenix's have given us fits with thier weird chinese carburators. We have actually soldered and redrilled some of these jets to get them to run up here.

Sure. Give me a while. One will go onto the showroom, and one will go into immediate duty. We will be looking for immediate riding impressions as well as longevity and durability. The smaller Polaris Predator 90 has been the best mini for some time now, and even though this is a much larger machine, we will be comparing it to the Predator 90 because the Jetmoto 150 should be a significant step up, especially for a larger kid who has outgrown the Predator, but isn't ready, or big enough for the 400 lb. 250's. I would like to see Jetmoto come out with a 250 full automatic sport, with reverse, that keeps its weight down to 350 lbs, yet has the same wide stance with low center of gravity that we are seeing from Jet Moto.
A Predator 90 with a pipe is amazingly fast. We don't expect this to be quicker, just bigger, better, and more stabile. I hope we are right.

I was hoping we'd have the 2007 JetMoto 150s by this weekend, but alas, they haven't shown up yet.
I wanted to point out that we will also be comparing the JetMoto 150 to the Polaris Phoenix and the Can-Am Rally, (as well as the Predator 90 and Outlaw 90). Both of which are TOO HEAVY for their class. This is one of the main reasons we are looking for alternatives. The Phoenix and Rally are both around 400 lbs. Which is Bull. The Rally has a really nice engine, water cooled, auto with reverse, and SINGLE A-ARMS! What are they thinking? Plus it weighs in at 416 lbs. It has a high center of gravity to go with all that weight. The Phoenix is nice and low and wide, but we have had lots of problems with them, and they are too heavy at 396 lbs. The DS-250 is huge and heavy, and underpowerd, but very reliable, as is the Rally. I think the Rally is actually faster than the DS-250.
A Suzuki Z-400 only weighs 360 lbs, as do all of the 400cc and 450cc class sport machines. These main stream 250s weigh more because they are using cheaper and older designed components.
The Honda 250EX and Suzuki Z-250 aren't bad, but they still have semi-auto trannys, and we are looking for full automatic for this class. I hear rumors that Suzuki is redesigning the Z- 250 as its own machine, instead of a converted Ozark. But I know of nothing specific.
The JetMoto 150 is supposed to weigh in at 314 lbs. That's what it should weigh. We will weigh it. It is supposed to be 43 inches wide. We will measure it. We will take extra care putting it together, making sure bolts are tight. We will probably have to rejet it because of our 6,000 ft. elevation. Then we are going to ride it. Our test pilots will range from 80 lbs to 160 to my fat a$$ 240. It will be fun, and we will keep you posted.....

Okay we got two 2007 150 st Jetmoto quads in today. Put one together right away. Overall we are very impressed. Adjustable dual A-arms (!), decent shocks, not overdamped, not oversprung, seems like very adequate travel, you can see the A-arms move as someone is riding toward you. The suspension is doing its job. The front is wonderfully wide, the dual A-arm front suspension and shocks are way better than anything you would expect, but the back needs the wheel spacers to even up with the front, even though the rear suspension is also beyond expectations. The rear swing arm is also very impressive looking, and I think it has a removable aluminum subframe!
The 150 has no nerfs either, so I immediately ordered both nerfs and rear wheel spacers.
Very good looking quad, Looks like Raptor 80 plastic with a nose piece to change its appearance. Very clever, and very good looking.
We drag raced it against a stock Predator 90, used, running good and well broken in. The Jetmoto was running very well and seems very comfortable with our 6,000 ft elevation. It sounds great. The muffler is throaty, not silent, but not too loud. The Jetmoto with my 240 lbs beat the Predator 90 with a 160 lb rider by a length at 100 yds. It hooked up right away and never gave anything to the Predator 90. . And the Jetmoto engine was only minutes old. The JetMoto carried me right up several small hills with plenty of torque and appropriate gearing from the CVT transmission, yet I think it topped out around 30 or 35 miles per hour. So overall gearing gives it plenty of grunt and not too much speed. That is just right for this quad. Next we will race a Phoenix.
Steering was stiff, and the stop at the base of the steering stem needs to be ground back to allow the front wheels to steer at sharper angles. We will also reroute the front brake lines so they don't pinch in at tighter steering angles. Steering effort was a little stiff, as was the throttle spring, but I think both could be improved or will break in.
There are two brake levers on the handlebars, right for front, left for rear, but NO FOOT BRAKE! ??
I was told that there would be no neutral, just forward and reverse, but there seems to be a neutral between reverse and forward like you'd expect. The hand lever is easy to use. The incator lights showing neutral and reverse don't work because there is no electrical switch in the reverse gearbox to trigger them, as I was told.
It has a Keihin Japanese carburator, which is great. But I think the chain is a cheap non-o-ring type that will stretch and wear out in a year.
O-ring chain, nerfs, rear wheel spacers....This is a very nice little quad. Perfect for a 10 to 13 year old or a small woman. It fits a nitch almost perfectly that no one else even comes close to. Tomorrow we will weigh it. It seems very light, and hope it weighs close to the claimed weight of 314 lbs. dry.
The narrow (er) rear end hurts its' ability to slide. Wheel spacers, by JetMoto, should even things out and get this puppy sliding and handling like it should. I think this quad should come with rear wheel spacers as well as nerfs and a decent chain, but for the money, we can make these easy and most necessary modifications. We will do this for our customers.

I'm 6', 240lbs. If this quad fit me it wouldn't be what I was looking for. I ride a DS-650 and will be riding a new 800 Renegade as soon as one comes in. The point of this quad is to fill a gap between the 90cc minis, which in the case of the Polaris Predator has become a very good little quad, and the 400 sport machines that fit kids when they get about 14-15 years old. At 12, even 10, kids outgrow the 90cc minis and need a bigger machine. The 250s that are offered are way too heavy, outweighing the 400s and 450s, because they are using cheaper and older components. This 150 Jetmoto is about 325 lbs ( we will weigh it today, with oil and just a splash of gas, so it won't be dry weight, just moist) I think this is a remarkable machine, and unique in its size, weight and displacement.
If you are an adult intent on riding this quad, well, okay, whatever floats your boat, but I think you should at least look at the 250 with its larger wheels.

Not me. An adult quad that would be the absolute minimum for me would be a Polaris TrailBoss 330.
It is large, very comfortable with an automatic transmission. I really don't like riding any of the "little" sport quads. I would rather ride a Sportsman 500 than a Z-400. I really like my DS, it is the third one I have owned. And I look forward to this new Renegade. When I ride the 150 Jetmoto, I am evaluating it for a rider that is one third of my weight. Great suspension is very important to me, check out my pix and the Raptor 80 I built for my son. You are buying a fleet of quads, and I can appreciate your approach, but I think you should mix it up a little more. No quad is perfect for everyone. A bunch of Jetmotos for your kids is a great idea. Ride as many quads as you can, your butt will tell you which one to buy for yourself.

Okay, today we made sure the rear wheel spacers are on the way. We Weighed it. It is 314 lbs with oil and a splash of gas as measured by my scale, which measures front and then back and we add them together. We also measured a Suzuki Ozark just to calibrate and make sure we were not off. The Ozark weighed 400 lbs even, dry. Published dry weight for the Ozark is 403 lbs. So we are pretty right on with our scale.
314 lbs!!! as advertised !!! That is awesome!!!! 42.5 inches wide in front, and unfortunately 39" wide in the back. But with the wheel spacers in the rear that will take it right out to 43", which is perfect.
At this point I have struck up a rather good conversation with salesman Joe Ventura, and The Boss Man himself, Eugene. These guys are dedicated to producing a quality, competitive product and even going beyond. Eugene is breaking new ground. Stay tuned, this is good stuff....These guys are really working hard to bring us an innovative, quality product at a great price.
I used a die grinder to cut back the steering stop to increase steering lock today, and I rerouted the brake lines so they wouldn't pinch. I am awaiting the rear wheel spacers before we make any more tests, but having the front end dialed in, aligned, with steering lock maxed out, made for a much better handling machine. But that narrow rear end gets in the way of any further evaluation,,,,.......39" may seem wide to you, but our Raptor 80 (see pics) is 41.5" wide with double a-arms and works shocks....
This is a formula that works, and Eugene knows it.....

Holeshot tires, or the knobby type of ATV tire slide better than the V type, tractor lug tires on the JetMoto 150.
I am trying to get this quad to handle the way it should. The tires on it are fine for straight line and mud, not for turns. We are waiting for the wheel spacers too, because right now this quad turns on three wheels. The outside rear wheel tucks under and the inside rear wheel lifts. I think the tires are a big part of the problem, so we are going to switch to a more traditional sport quad tire, which is a Holeshot type knobby. So we are changing tires and wheels to aluminum rims with Holeshots. A pricey modification, but with the wheel spacers I think we will get the desired results. Front will be 19x6x10 and rear will be 18x10x8. We will also get some additional width with the new rims. Less rubber up front will make steering easier, and a flatter profile in the rear will help it slide. I will let you know how it turns out in about a week....

I've always thought it was odd that sport quads coming from the far east came with tractor lug, V style tires, even the Dinli Cannondales. Maybe they are just cheaper and more available, but they don't slide, and on a quad, that means they don't turn. The mini Predators and the JetMoto 250 have Holeshot style knobbies, so they are available, but at what cost.
For Eugene it has to be a question of where to draw the line. At what point do costs go up with better components to the point where they have priced themselves out of the market, even though producing a better machine with quality components at a great price. There are people that will, wrongly, buy the cheapest piece of crap out there just because of the price. It is about value, not price, or at least it should be. And when you are working this end of the marketplace you have to be careful not to lose your place. Swapping out rear tires, adding an o-ring chain or a K&N air filter is no big deal.. Look at all the Yamaha and Honda owners who go all out with aftermarket accessories. Not having to replace A-arms, shocks, etc. is wonderful. After all, we are working this end of the market to save money, not to buy a money pit. None of that accessory money is ever seen again when you sell it later. Any cost effective improvements Eugene can make in the JetMotos is going to insure JetMoto's success, but we can't expect to get a race-ready quad at a street corner price....

Got the rear wheel spacers today. DON"T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT THEM!!! This brings the rear right out to the same width as the front, just as it should be. Eugene told me they would be widening the axle to eliminate the need for the spacers, but they also said that they used spacers at the Indy show. Otherwise the rear is 39" wide and the front is 42.5" wide. It just ain't right....With spacers the rear measures 43". Nice.
It finally slides respectably but the tires just grip too much. It still lifts the inside rear wheel. Replacing the rear tractor lug tires with Holeshots is a must. I am going to go the extra step and put ITP spun aluminum wheels on it with 19x6x10" tires on the front with 10x10x8 on the rear with 8x8 rear wheels and 6x10 front wheels. These wheels are direct replacement wheels for most of the 90cc minis out there with the 4-110 lug pattern. These wheels will be a little lighter, and should widen it up a little too. No big gain here, it is the rear tires that need to be changed. The rear Holeshots are slightly larger than what comes on a Predator 90, and the fronts will actually be slimmer, and easier to steer. WE are still waiting for the rear wheels, everything else is here. SO that will be next. We will re-weigh it when we are done to see if we gained or, hopefully lost a little weight in the process. The wheel spacers and tires may offset any weight loss from the aluminum wheels.

I really thought I was going overboard with the ITP spun aluminum wheels.....How much could that really help? Sure, save a little weight, add a little bling, and get rid of the tractor lug tires. The 19" Holeshot front tires would lighten the heavy steering, and the wider rear wheels would continue the good work of the wheel spacers and widen out the rear end.....

The rear width went from 39" to 43" to 46" !!!
The front went from 42.5" to 43", but the tires,,,the TIRES...!!!! HOLESHOTS RULE !!
No more lifting the inside rear wheel when doing doughnuts or powersliding, no more heavy steering.
Overboard?? Nope, RIGHT ON COURSE. Everyone at our shop is blown away by this quad. It is the best and only "transition" quad for a young rider. Simply nothing else like it, or even close. Everything else is too heavy, too narrow, with too high a center of gravity.
I will post pix in the next couple of days. We are going riding tomorrow.

There are a couple of new pix of the JetMoto 150, dusty and wide, on my pix page. You'll see my son Ian, when he was six on his very custom Raptor 80, and this afternoon on his new JetMoto 150. Remarkable resemblance between quads. The Raptorette was widened to 41" from a skinny 33". The Jetmoto only needed minimal mods to meet our standards, just tires, wheels and wheel spacers. The Raptorette had $2,000 in modifications, works shocks, Blaster A-arms, rebuilt frame etc.
Ian is now 10, and loves his new quad.

We've had our 2007 JetMoto 150 for a good month now, and it has been an excellent kid quad. This makes a very nice transition from the 90s.
To sum up, it has rear wheel spacers, and ITP wheels with Holeshot tires. This widens it up in the rear, and makes it slide like it should. I used a die grinder to cut back the steering stop to increase wheel lock, as turning radius was ridiculously large. It runs great, seems like it is geared too low, as top speed is only about 25 and it will pull an adult up a very steep grade effortlessly. And that is perfect for my 10 year old.
IT needs an o-ring chain before the stock chain stretches and wears out the sprockets. I would like to try the better front shocks from the 250. It needs nerfs. And I am still curious about the front end geometry. It seems to have a lot of steering effort, which could either be too much caster or not enough mechanical advantage in the steering linkage. Also, it needs a rear foot brake.
The engine is amazingly quiet. Very little mechanical noise. That's a good sign. The exhaust is right on, throaty, good sound, but not too loud. The CVT clutch works as well as any.
As far as adults riding this quad....you have got to be kidding. This is the best, and only kids' quad under 250 cc worth looking at. It is better, and more appropriate than anything offered by the major manufacturers or the swarm of overweight Chinese 150s. It is in a class by itself. It only weighs 314 lbs, and that is perfect. But for an adult? Man, I just don't see it.

The front shocks are way softer and better rebound. We have one of each (06 07) sitting right next to each other.

The 07 is a much improved quad. The revo box a big improvement, it does have a neutral (I think is a great addition). I am short so the lever is not in my way. I feel with the new shocks and frame Jetmoto is getting very close to the big 4.

If you have a dead spot at about 1/4 into the throttle you may have to adjust the needle clip. This controls throttle from idle up to about 3/4. If you have a dead spot it may be too lean. By lowering the clip it will richen that part of the circuit up.

outofline, i havnt had a chance to ride it yet but am going to tomorrow. The suspension is much improved from the prototype. Stiffer spring rates and noticable damping control in the shocks. The only obvious thing that didnt get changed was the countershaft sprocket. Its still a 17 tooth and im pretty sure a 15 would be best.
BwHntr, I wouldnt say the 06 Was a bad quad, but the '07 is a much better quad. As for the '08 being even better I dont think that is in the plans. The next big improvement to Jetmoto's will be a plastic upgrade. That will probubly happen around the release of the '08 models. Depending on when you got your 150 last year there could have been upgrades you missed or got. Jetmoto doesnt wait for the next model year to make a improvement. There were improvements made to the Jetmoto quads for every new shipment/order. i believe there were 4 different changes (and a couple of mods per change) within the '06 year. you have to remember that Jetmoto is only about 4 years old and has improved their products imensely since i got involved with them about 10 months ago. Did this answer any of your concerns?

The sprocket will be available from Jetmoto for anyone who buys a 250. The chain is ridiculously tight as delivered and the smaller sprocket will help this.
One thing I noticed about the 250, and I would think the 150 and 200 have it also. It uses a sealed gel type battery. Im not going to miss filling batteries with electrolite at all. You can also tell that some one else is making the electrical connections. Much nicer plug in style ends.

I am still using my stock Jetmoto batteries. They are about 10 mos old now. Time will tell on the new style battery. I do know it costs a little more than the other battery, so it should last longer. If I were to guess I would think a sprocket off a early 80's Yamahe would work. Ill compare it to my honda sprockets later today.

I know that a 15 tooth front sprocket is available because its the same as the 200 Enduro. A 14 comes on the '06 200 quad also but that might be to small. Or real good for slow trail riding.

From what I have heard the 150 was the hottest seller of the 3 Jetmoto models with the new chassis. I guess they ran out of them.

You are providing a huge service to the readers of the forum outofline. And not just for the few that post. Look at the views # for a idea of how many out side the forum are watching. You are definitely a asset to the forums outofline and I enjoy your videos. As much as i like watching the quads run around. I get a real kick out of your kids hooting and hollering as they ride around. My boys are 19/21 now and when they hoot and holler I get worried. Keep up the good work and post as many videos as you like.

Do you have a pic. of the left side of the engine on the 150's?? Reason I ask is I just wanted to see how well the engine is mounted in the frame and what type of air filter box set up it has.
Many of the Chinese quads in this size don't have the best air box design I've noticed. Yours looks different then whats on my 110cc & 90cc quads I have now. It looks like its mounted to the rear??
I'm thinking maybe this quad might work for my boys for going to the mountains trail riding. But I'm wondering about the mud and water we'd have to go through and how the jetmoto 150 would handle it all.
My boys have a little chinese 50 dirt bike that runs fine but........it has a crappy little air box that draws in dirt right off the back tire. I'm constantly cleaning the darn thing! They already have sucked in too much dirt!

It's good to hear that the video has been of some use for another member. I have to admit the video was never intended to sway anyone's decision one way or the other to purchase a product. It was was intended mainly for viewing enjoyment, and I'm sure some people might have been curious to see an off brand ATV and how it performs.
It is good that you purchased the Jetmoto line of ATV and used Raceway as your dealer, at least you know your covered if there is ever a problem. I would have felt horrible if someone used the video to base their decision to purchase their new Chinese ATV and it did not turn out as planned. Things can go wrong if one does not use the right dealer or buy from a manufacturer that makes inferior products.
Your videos I'm sure will help others too. From what it sounds like the new Jetmoto 150's are very popular. You never know your videos may have help others to make their decision on whether to purchase a Jetmoto.
Once you and your family get some more rides in, it would be great if you could post some info on how the quads are holding up.
I would like to replace my 150 with a new Jetmoto 150.

I have a concern after reading a few of these posts. I purchased an 06 Jetmoto 150 this last spring for my son. I have not really had any problems with it, am pleased with Raceway's service, and we have been having a lot of fun riding it this past year. I now hear that the 06 is not that good of a quad and the 07 is so much better. Well back in 06 it the 06 was so much better than the 05. I wonder if one was to by an 07 that in 08 will they find out that it is not that good and the 08 is much much better. Is this typical? I know that Jetmoto is trying to increase the quality of their product but will they ever get there? I never hear that last years Honda, Yamaha, ... model was not that good and this years is so much better. I know that they make improvements based on technology but rarely because something was so incorrect with the prior years model. Sorry, it just puzzled me to read what is being said.

Really would like to hear some real world experience with this new atv! John has any been sold and delivered yet? Tell me, is there a safety mechanism in place to make sure the reveres shifter cannot be pulled back while it is going forward. Just by the pictures it's not too clear on this.

Well I know the consensus of most ATVers is that Chinese ATV's are junk. So to have each new year increase dramatically is a great thing. I would be more worried if they did not change for the better. Now just by looks alone I think the Jetmotos are closer then any Chinese ATV has been before to the quads you would buy from the big 4. Still they may have a ways to go so if I buy 07's and in 08 they are leaps ahead I will just have to be happy that my 07's are still the fun quads they were when I bought them (hopefully) or sell and buy the new 08 and enjoy the latest they have to offer!

Is the sprocket something that can be bought locally at a motorcycle dealer or is it a specific Jetmoto part? Im guessing no shorting of the chain would be needed to do this?

Chopper, you own both a 06 and an 07 Jetmoto 150? How would say the 07 preforms against the 06? Is the revers shifter in the way of your leg while riding, it looks like it may be?
Would you say the 07 feels close in build quality to a big 4 quad? Do you prefer the new revers trans over the block on the rear axle?

Thanks for the very informative review, Tell me did you feel cramp on this 150? I hadn't noticed that there was no rear brake peddle. I guess that's not a big problem, better then most 150's that have drum front brakes! I would like to see Nurfs also on them! What colors of the 150's did you end up getting? Any photos? I truly think this is the best Chinese 150 out there and I have looked extensivly on the net at all the different offerings!

Thanks, I'm looking to buy 4 new quads for my family. I have my sites set on two Jet 150's to fit my wife and three sons ages 8-13 and two 250cc for me and my 16 year old son. But my father in law may want to come along on a few trail riding trips and he most likely would want to ride the automatic 150 and if so I may want to ride one also. So I guess what I am asking is would it be tolerable for you to take a short trail ride on?

See and I have no interest in utility quads. I just want sport models, I have a small budget and we want new so Chinese machines will have to do for now. I'm sure the Jet 250 will do me just fine at least for a few years.

Today they delivered my four new Jetmos and I managed to put the Red 150 together. "Wow" pretty much sums it up! I was impressed in every way possible with the build design and quality of this quad. No I don't have tons of experience with quads but over the last several months I have looked hard into the Chinese 150s and I must say there is not another 150 that even comes close to this 07 Jetmoto. I have sat and rode many 150s locally and have walked away thinking they all felt cramped for a guy my size 6'1 230lbs. But this new Jetmoto even for me felt great. I still will mainly ride my new Jet 250's but I could go on a ride on this no problem and I am sure I will.
The metal crate it is packed in is very well built and with thick cardboard all around it. The quad took some time to assemble but was kind of fun to do. Was not missing any [parts and everything fit perfectly. The only glitch I encountered was after hooking up the battery I tried the starter (with no gas) to make sure all was working fine. It worked fine a few times then a while later I tried it again and the Solenoid stuck on. Luckily the battery was near dead, I had to hurry and disconnect the battery so it would not fry the starter. After going over all the wiring to see if it was something I had done wrong and not finding the problem I found the solenoid and removed it. I slightly tapped on it with a hammer and reinstalled it and it has worked perfect since.
I was running out of time so while I was cleaning up I put some gas in the tank and with one short push of the starter button it fired right up. It sounds so great, and ran great.
I still have a little more work to do on it tomorrow before I start on the next one. But so far I am 100% pleased with this quad.

I have had a bit of problems with the Red 150's carb, The float has over flowed a couple times and has been a bit rough on running. The Blue 150 has ran like a champ from the first push of the starter button and I am really impressed with the power, this is a fun little quad and carries me 6"1 235lbs around no problem! Saturday we took the quads out riding. The Blue 150 ran solid all day and the 13 year old had a ball on it! The Red 150 gave us problems, seems like when going up a hill it would flood out! Then cranking it the battery soon wore out! After that I got the feeling they do not run to well on a dead battery even after you jump start it! Out there I did turn the carb side ways and pull the Float bowl off and adjusted the Float. It took a couple times but I think it?s pretty good now as the motor ran much better for a time! I did not get to spend much time on the 150's at all but the little I did ride the Blue one I was real impressed with it over all. The Suspension was great and it pulled me up the short hill you will see in the video from stopped at the bottom with no problem!
Yesterday I charged up the Red 150 battery and today I fired it up and ran it for about a 1/2 hour or so and it ran great, it even out ran the Blue 150 today which is a first. So apparently the float adjustment I did Sat. fixed the running problem I had been fighting with. It seems to idle nice and smooth and no hesitation upon giving the throttle like it had before!
Just a note we have noticed about the transmission shifting is that they do not slide into gear (Forward and Reveres) smoothly, most of the time you need to rev the motor a bit or rocking the quad front to back seems to help. It's not a big deal and once you get the feel of it it's not hard to do. Once it's in gear it feels real solid and the CVT works great!
I hope someone here is getting something from me going on and on about my experience with the Jetmotos, if not oh well!
Here is a Video I shot that shows the 150's on my trailer but I did not get any 150's in action this weekend! Perhaps next weekend I will get some more footage of the 150's.

Our 150 Outing
We had a great time and I was real impressed with this little quad. Even me at 6'1" and 230lbs it was a blast and hauled me along with ease even up some pretty steep hills. We at times were in some real rough terrain with big rocks and steep hills and the 150's climbed right up them. Again I will say there is no better 150 out there. We do have a slight dead spot at about 1/4 way up the throddle on both machines that I need to still figure out. And we have a rattle on both of them (only as your going faster) and for the life of me I can't seem to locate it.
IMHO If your looking the buy a different Chinese 150 do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks and get the Jetmoto with the better suspension, hight and also better looking.

Thanks! I really think this is great for our kids, gets them away from the virtual world of video games and into the real world. This was the first day we let the 8 and 10 year old ride by themselves. They really did good and surprised us. The 10 year old rode trails for several miles on moms Red 150. The 16 year old was not able to go with us today so my wife rode the Red 250 and that left the Red 150 for the 10 year old. By the time we left that area they were going up and down the hills and no accidents just one close call by the 8 year old!

Oh ya I forgot to mention something, ya know the carb problem I had with the Red 150 that has stalled the motor many times and made our first outing a pain. I swapped the carb from the blue 150 to the red in hopes the problem would transfer to the blue quad just to verify it was infact the carb that was the problem. Well the problem stayed with the Red 150. So I swapped the coil, wire and plug and still remained with the red one. Finally I remembered reading somewhere I believe on here that someone had a Chinese quad that the manufacturer forgot to put a vent hole in the gas cap. So I pulled the cap and inspected the rubber seal and no hole. Then I pulled the other 3 caps on the other quads and they all had holes! Could it be this simple of fix (after I have spent several hours fighting with and may have said a few choice words in trying to solve my problem)? I drilled out the hole that should have been there and it has not stalled sense. BR>It appears this cap vents through the cap threads and not through a hose that many other caps do. They all need a hole to breathe either way, so make sure you check your cap.

I guess it all depends on what your used to riding, coming from not riding any quads my 13 year old (big) boy 5'10" 190lbs and myself had a ball on these last Friday as seen in the Outing on the 150 video. I am not the type that needs the biggest and best of everything so these along with the 250 Sport works great for us for now at least. These to us are just family toys, we are not going on any atv jamborees or anything just playing in the dirt and riding some trails. Everyone in our family loves the 150's! I would hate to have it geared any different and lose that climbing ability, they can keep up with the 250's at comfortable speeds along smooth trails.

I am a major Camcorder Dad, we have over 30 (now transferred to DVD) tapes of our family from just after we got married back in 1990. So I will take the Camcorder out a lot and shoot us out playing. As long as someone here finds it worth while I will post them every so often! This summer we will travel out to different areas here in Utah to ride and I will post that as we go. I will have to shoot a pic next time I have the quads out (probably/hopefully Friday)! The Air Filter box is a pretty good design and it is only open to air from the top down below the seat a few inches. I really don't think its water proof to be submerged but I think it would do pretty good to repel most splashing. The Filter itself is a I would guess a 3"x 3" 1/2" foam pad that you soak in oil. I would not call it the best filter in the world but I think it's a good setup. I have opened it back up after a ride and the insides of the box looked clean.
Looking at my Gallery page "Shifter" Picture #5 in my gallery show it all pretty good! The 4 screws hold the side covers on to gain access to the filter pad! And it shows the engine mounting!

Can't quite tell from your pics but the 07 150 swing arm is different then the 250, it does seem to be built a little tougher then the 250 in that rear Dogbone area plus you will never get the air that you can get from the 250. So your 150 has the new seat? Will the 200 and 250 be getting the new seat?

I and others had to adjust the clip on the carb sleeve needle. I lowered my C clip down 2 notches on the needle I believe. If I remember someone else had a simular problem as you and this fixed his, read past posts and you will find his posts.
There is a Idle adjustment screw on the side of the carb, also adjust your throttle cable so you just feel the cable pull on the carb as you push the thumb lever in. Make sure your governor adjustment screw is out to where it's not restricting.
If I remember I had a hard time with my Red 150 past posts on here may shed light as what I did. Are you using the choke, mine needs choked for about 15 sec after starting then I push it back in!

Ya perhaps the vales are not closing completely and not getting enough compression to fire, but you said at one time you had it idling correct? Have you turned the screw at the bottom of the float bowl to see if gas pours out of the bowl through the drain hose? I'm guessing you have! Did you lower that C clip on the needle, I know this ghas been an issue but still does not explain the lack of fire with starter fluid!

I don't know, I have not adjusted my front screw. The side screw should be out about 2 complete turns then adjusted as needed for Idle. The C clips I have been talking about are on the sheave that is hooked to the carb end of the throttle cable. It will lower the needle that regulates the fuel. But still starting fluid should have fired that baby up for a few seconds and given some full throttle action as well.
Wonder if with the spark plug out you can determine if the spark is hitting about the same time as the compression blows your finger out? This would tell if the spark is at or close to the right time. Don't know if it's possible to have this fire off timing like on the exhust stroke!? Have you talked to John about this yet? This is strange!

I talked with John and he told me that a larger "rear" sprocket was available for anyone who bought the 250. I agree that the chain is tight and I wouldnt be able to fit a larger rear without extending the chain. A smaller front would be a much better solution. I do agree that the 250 needs to be geared down. As it is 4th gear is nearly useless, since you need to be going about 50+ mph to use 4th or it will lug. A lower 1st and 2nd will help low speed climbing.
Can you verify that a smaller front is available vice a larger rear?

I gota post after reading this, fourlix did a great job and review of the JM150 his insight is well worth the read. But alot depends on usage. I am 5'10" 140 lbs and I have used my 150 (I know its not a JM) on everything here in PA riding next to all the BIG4 atv's and their is only one thing that they can do that I can't, That is beat me to the other side of a open field. on every trail, hill, creek, and mub pit my 150 is right next to them.
So don't shy away from a 150 thinking its just a kids atv, I wouldn't put my grabdson on this without alot of skill they can jump up and bite you! I almost fliped mine climbing over a downed tree too much gas and the front was 4' in the air.

Yes. The new seats look very nice. They are embroidered on the top and the side logos are sewed on. Only thing is the sewn on pieces should have been glued to the edges as the end flips up a bit between the sewn seam and the cut edge. No big deal.
Here pics is a link to some photos of the new 150 swing arm and rear shock mount. Much more stout than the older one. I included a pic of my 200 shock mount. It looks more like the ones that broke. Does it look the same or maybe upgraded since the early breakers?

Unpacked our blue Jetmoto 150 today - hard to start, idles for a few seconds, then dies. Won't take throttle. Hoping to get it registered Fri and run it this weekend. Ideas?

I think we've tried everything on the 150, still won't run. Have changed plug to NGK C7HSA, has blue spark, compression in the hole, vacuum at the air box, fuel in the carb bowel, and shut off valve flows when open.
After reviewing earlier posts, I removed the intake manifold and twisted the carb sideways, removed bowel, and the float/inlet appears to be working fine.
Perhaps someone can tell me what the specs are for these 2 screws -
1. front of carb, accessible from underneath - I have it backed out 1.25 turns.
2. right side of carb, idle adjust screw? - 1.5 - 2 turns out.
I also r&r'd the throttle cable cap on the top of the carb, cable/piston moves freely, governor screw is backed out.
No matter what I do, choke/throttle while cranking, the plug isn't wet. No fire even when I spray starting fluid in the spark hole (at one point I was getting a "pop" but not now) and I also tried spraying into the air box, still nothing.
This has me baffled.

Yes, it started last night about 4 times, idle only, total running time maybe one minute. I did open the "bowl dump" and it had fuel.
I printed the msg about the C clip, had it with me when I opened the bowl - but couldn't figure out how to adjust the clip. As soon as the float leaves level position, the needle drops, so I figured that was working ok.
The plug fires when I ground it to the exhaust, and seems to me it has to have air since there's enough compression to push my thumb off the hole, and enough suction to pull my hand up to the opening on the air box (with the side cover off, holding my hand to the carb intake).
Does anyone have specs on those 2 screws? Should the one in the bottom front of the carb be turned all the way in?
