I have not heard back from John if there is a 14 or 13 tooth available, have you heard anything?
I wish I had thought of shooting a video of the assembly, not that I did not have the opportunity to do so. At least I did shoot some photos!

We took another outing today, The Quads ran great! We climbed several big rough hills (as you will see in the pics) and once again it became evident the 250 needs to be geared lower. I really think a 13 tooth may be best. The 150s again climbed with ease while the 250's struggled. I tried jumping the 250 but could not find a suitable hill to get much air (and I'm a chicken) but we did manage to have some fun!
I created a Web Site to display photos of our outings and have also posted a link on my Gallery page.
Here is the latest outing

John told me that he is looking into finding some 13 tooth but will need to do some serching, Jetmoto does not make any 13 tooth sprokets. He is also sending me a 14 tooth to try!
Posted by: outofline
dccarr do you also feel a 13 tooth is the fix? How did that shock break?
Posted by: outofline
I'm not worried about top end I have only got into 4th a few times and even then at lower throttle. Not sure I want to travel over 50 mph on this quad and not that it's a bad quad it's just not very big!
I hope we can get a 13 tooth to put on these 250. John had stated a while back my new Jets where in the mail but I have not received them as of yet!
Perhaps we now know the limits of abuse these Jetmotos can with stand. They are not yet Honda quality and durability, I am guessing with all the feed back on this Forum they are receiving about these 07's next year will also see many durability improvements. I think for my level and type of riding these should be fine, not sure I want to get 5' plus of air!
Posted by: outofline
Now are these 250's front shocks Gas cahrged, oil filled or air shocks? Can they be stiffened up?
Posted by: outofline
The 250's suspension does feel quite a bit better but the 150 has pretty good suspension also. I think I did bottom out the 150 once but was not that hard of a hit. Even with my 230lbs it rides pretty nice. I have not bottomed out on the 250 yet that I know. I have a photo of the 250 as I landed from a jump and you can see I was using easily 8" of the 9" travel but I really did not noticed it bottoming out!
So what?s the nipple thing on the bottom of the reservoir for?
Posted by: outofline
Another thing I have noticed with the 250 is that the reverse gear is way too tall also. It does work but this could be much more user friendly had it been geared lower. John any progress with finding a 13 tooth sprocket this would also help that tall reverse gear?
I'm hoping Jetmoto is reading this thread to perhaps make changes and upgrades for future quads.
Posted by: outofline
I received my 14 tooth today in the mail, Thanks John! I will install it today and the wife and I plan on taking the 250's out tomorrow for a good ride so I will report back after. Cross my fingers that this will do the trick! If not the Jetmotos will go back!Just kidding!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: outofline
OK, I installed the new 14 tooth sprockets and rode around the neighborhood on the streets. My gut feeling is this is probably the best compromise to having the lower gearing and also keeping some upper gearing for speed. With the 17 tooth the 4th gear was virtually unattainable, with the 15 tooth 4th was obtainable but it was still so high you would have had to have some serious speed to get the RPM's up in it. Now 4th is used and needed and you still have some R's and some power once there. 1st gear does seem a lot better, the revs don't drop when taking off like they did before. I am now able to drop the clutch and pull a easy 12-16" wheelie. It no longer feels like your riding a street bike and more like a quad.
We will see if my feelings change tomorrow with some hill climbing.
I did have to take out one link on the Red 250's chain and now it puts that at the first of the tightening adjustment on the rear axle, The Blue 250 would not allow me to remove a link, it is now toward the end of the adjustment with the Zerk no longer accessible.

Today my Wife and I had a fun ride on a old Rail Road line on the 250's, our video is here:Outing 04/13/07
Now about the 14 tooth front sprocket, I am afraid to say it is still to high but much better then the 15. For normal trail riding it was pretty good and easily handled everything along the trail and it may be just fine for most riders. But when it came to climbing it still is lacking as you can hear in the video. On our ride there was a level smooth dirt road so I opened it wide up for a good 1/4 mile, I am not sure the RPM range of this motor but I was only able to get it up to almost half the RPM's in 4th and it topped out on speed. You would think it would continue climbing in speed but I guess the wind restriction and tire friction it tops out. No Idea really but I would guess at around 45+ MPH. I think a 13 tooth would achieve the same MPH but at higher RPM which would be better with inclines in 4th the way it was I would have to down shift on even a slight incline.
We had a good time to day and the 250's ran great all day, we still had to fight the tall gearing of revers many times while trying to turn around on small trails. If you have to go up hill in revers your pretty much out of luck cus it's not going to do it with out wearing the clutch out in the process. This gear should be really low in my opinion about 1/2 of 1st! But I am glad they did give us a Revers because we do use it often!
I still would really like to get a 13 tooth sprocket on these and I think then I would be happy with the over all performance. Now I have not received the bigger jets yet and they may make a difference with my 14 tooth gearing but as they sit a 13 tooth would be better.
Posted by: outofline
I would think that would be true, and if it would increase the HP then the 14 tooth may be just fine. I have been waiting for the Jets and would love to try them out before switching to a 13 tooth sprocket. It's so close to being a nice all around ride and I have had a lot of fun on it so far, just a little more tweaking and It will be there!
And yes we did ride right through the tunnel it was pretty cool, I shot video while riding through it but it was so shaky it was unusable!
Posted by: outofline
A little more on the boring side but if your really board here is video of our boys in thier ATV training course they took today: ATV Training Course
Posted by: outofline
Nope, the state of Utah requires all riders under 15 to be licensed atvers and to get that you need to sign up for a course, read a pretty in depth manual, take a written True/false/Multiple Choice test then complete the riding test that you see them taking! I was able to help them on the written and my boys took it together with me reading the questions and them answering. They got 100% on the written and did OK on the riding, knocked over a couple cones and a couple other miner things!BR>Now we can ride with out the fear of being ticketed!BR>I think they kind of enjoyed the riding part! The 16 year old was getting a bit board I saw him spin around the corners a bit to make it a little funner!
Posted by: outofline
The info we read before the class stated anyone under 16 had to take the class but one of the questions on the test stated anyone under 15. We took the written before the riding so my 16 (actually 15 til next month) year old was almost to walk! But he played the game and finished the class. Now he has a ATV license and a Learner Drivers license for the street!
I was worried that the 150's were too big for my 8 year old to take the test on, then several kids showed up on a 750cc Utility and other almost as big atv's and these were not big kids under 12 years old! I was amazed that their parent let them ride such big beasts. If a 150 or 250 jet rolled over on my kids they may stand a chance but if a 750cc rolled over on them kids I highly doubt they would survive!. So I think your daughter on a 250 would be fine!
John has told me the Jets are on thier way but still have not received them!
Posted by: outofline
I don't remember 00XJ, did you rejet yours?
Posted by: outofline
I got my new Jets today (Thanks John) and just finished rejetting both 250's. So far they seem to run pretty good, they were already warm so I was not able to test the cold start! We are going riding with another couple (all on our Jetmotos) tomorrow so I will be able to test some more climbing, trail and racing around. And I will try to shoot another hopefully epic video (no, how about we will make this one a movie/motion picture) We will see!
Til tomorrow!
Posted by: outofline
Ya, after I wrote that I got thinking some might expect more out of me. Perhaps it would be best to leave them as a senseless dumb video!
Posted by: outofline
I think we finally have the right combo! The new Jets and the 14 tooth gear preformed great, the 250 now out climbs the 150 like it should. First gear was great for trail riding as well as climbing. Fourth gear felt much better with power through out the entire gear. Cold start up is much better now, before we had to keep giving it gas for several min. or it would die. Now it idles great from start with very little choke! We had a good time today with almost no problems. The only problem was on the red 250 that I was riding the right rear wheel lugs came loose. I guess out of 16 wheels I was bound to have this happen sooner or latter! We only had a few hours to ride so I did not want to waste it shooting video but I did have the wife shoot me climbing on the 250 and her 150.

Now after washing the quads up after today's ride I do have one more grip! At this rate in two months I will no longer have any more Jetmoto decals left on the quads. They are made of a very cheep quality plastic decal and held on with even cheaper adhesive! It's frustrating to see these new quads losing their decals so soon. I have not pressure washed them I only use our garden hose and towel dry!
Jetmoto, please up the quality on the decals!
Posted by: outofline
About the decals, I would love to have some vinyl but if not John would Jetmoto be willing to ship me more decals so I can keep these on? I do believe it would be an on going thing also until they can produce something that will stay on. I just would hate to have these looking bare and I see this happening in the near future!

We have had our 150's and 250's out riding (in pretty rough terrain) around 6 times over the last two months. This is a list of things I have had to fix and or are showing premature signs of wear so far. As I have stated before these are not Honda quality and I have four Jetmotos that were delivered on the same day to maintain. I am still happy with the new quads and for a 1/4 of the price of a big 4 I expected that there would always be something to fix.
So here is the list of things I have had to fix to date, some where on the 150 and some on the 250 and others on both as noted. I may also add to this list as time goes by!
1. No vent hole in gas cap (150) (Drilled hole)
2. Transmission popping out of Drive (150) (I am trying different springs to fix and not sure as of yet if problem is solved)
3. Front wheel out of round on back side causing a wobble and will not hold air (150) (Waiting for replacement)
4. Solenoid sticking ON (150) (Raceway sent me a replacement and also a second back up replacement)
5. Carb needed needle adjusted (150) (Adjusted)
6. Jetmoto Decals coming off (150 & 250)
7. Inner tie rod end mounting bolts on steering coming lose causing sloppy steering (needed an additional washer to lower the Castle Nut down to meet Cotter pin hole better (150 & 250) (Added washers and retightened)
8. Front end alignment (150 & 250) (They were all out and needed to be adjusted toe in slightly to make up for sloppy front end assembly)
9. 17 and 15 tooth front sprocket too high (250) (Raceway sent me new 15 and 14 tooth sprockets free of charge to get my preferred gearing)
10. Camber nut lose (250) (Tightened)
11. Tail light lens screws lose (150 & 250) (Tightened)
12. Tail light bulb went bad (150 & 250) (replaced)
13. Battery rubber hold down strap cracking (150 & 250) (also no tie down for the tool bag)
14. Rubber boots on front end ball joints are ripping open and going bad. (150 & 250) (not sure why and not sure what to do)
15. Rejet Carb (250) (Raceways sent out new Jets free of charge)
16. Front Hydraulic brake needed bleeding (250) (Bled)
17. Had to cut steering stop to increase steering radius (150) (cut way 1/4" from stop on both sides)
18. Rattle in the Mufflers (150) (not sure what to do yet)
19. Gas tank rear mounting bolt Rubber Spacer broke apart (250) (replaced with better spacer)
Items I think need to be built better by Jetmoto or just my own personal opinion.
1. Front end steering and suspension is sloppy compared to big 4 build quality
2. Better quality Decals
3. Better quality Rubber parts (hoses, spacers, straps, boots and such)
4. Paint on engine is already wearing off where foot rubs, Better quality paint?
5. Widen rear axle on 150 to match front tire width.
6. Hole shot knobby tires on the 150
7. Better quality on off controls on the 250 Sport (why not use the same as the 150)
8. Larger capacity fuel tank with a reserve
9. I hate the 250 Sport front bumper reminds me of a cattle crossing grade or a steam train front end; I would rather have the 150's but without the chrome.
10. Larger plastic, the 07 plastic seems almost like a bikini.
11. Upgrade the 150 Muffler to be the same as the 250
So far Raceway and Jetmoto has been great to work with and my reason for posting this is not to make these new quads look bad and problem machines but to give Jetmoto an Idea of what the real world is seeing with these quads in hopes upgrades can be made. Like I stated I may add to this list as time goes by!

The front end may be a bit sloppy compared to the big 4 but you do not notice it while riding at least I don't. I have sat in front of Polaris's and Honda's and pushed outwards on the front of the Front tires and there is no sloppiness or movement, but with the Jetmotos there is movement and I am pretty sure you would find the same with all other Chinese quads. It is all a matter of the quality of parts and engineering that the big 4 has worked out over the years and the Chinese will need to work on. But again I would not doubt the Chinese could build such quality but the price would have to go up also I'm sure. So again for the price it's to be expected.
The Rubber boots I am referring to are the ones that go around the tie rod ends and ball joints to keep the dirt out and grease in.
I have not had the problem that you hear most other Chinese quad owners about every bolt coming loose every ride and the need to loctite ever last thing down. Most all my bolts from the factory were tight and have stayed tight up to now and I have not used any loctite.
Again I am happy with the Jetmotos for what they are and the price I paid! These are just items I have had to deal with to date!
I hope to get out Friday with my dad on his Honda 300 to see how it will compare and Sat. with all our kids so expect another video coming soon! Got to buy another DV tape!

Problems I have had, The holes in the rear sprocket are too large for the bolts. The sprocket will piviot some. The bolt circle is correct, but the holes are simply too big. Causes a little driveline slop. Might redrill, and retap the hub to allow larger bolts to be used.
I just checked my 250's and I found the same thing, The bolts do not appear to have backed out or lose but you can rotate the rear sprocket a bit and feel the sloppiness of the holes. This does concern me cus If the bolts do back out it could get ugly. I will have to watch it closely but Jetmoto does need to fix this on future models. Looks to be a pain to have to fix this!?

I had another fun outing today on the 250, my Dad rode his Honda 300 Fourtrax (2wheel Shaft drive). I hate to say but his 300 kicked my butt! His had so much more climbing power, my Jet 250 would be bauging down in 1st and his Honda would be doing fine in 2nd up the same hill! The Jetmoto 250 is fun but it does not have the power needed to compete with a Honda. I know the Honda was a 300 but the power was way more then 50 or so cc. I still had fun on the Jetmoto and we climbed some insane mountains hills shown on the new video. The mountain you see us coming down we had just climbed. The Jetmoto managed to do it but it pushed it to the max and then some. If the Motor was going to give out this would have been the murder weapon. As long as I kept the quad moving it managed to power up the hill. It did power out at a real steep spot but I managed to rev and feather the clutch and got it going up again!
As you can hear the first hill in the vid the Jetmoto pretty much powered out at the top but none the less made it up.
Day out with my Dad
Posted by: outofline
pimpsmurf, careful on the vid your going to wear it out so no one else can see it!BR>I really would hate to gear it down any lower, I hate to lose the top end! But for climbing it could use loose a couple more teeth, but it will climb it just powers out. It's fine for trail riding and over all riding stuff as you can see! I am happy with it, just wish it had some more HP, thats where I think it's lacking!
BTW my dad is around 190ish and 5'10" (16 year Heart Transplant survivor) but thats me on the Jetmoto in all shots! My dad did ride the jet for a few min. and he liked it but it's far from the comfy of the Honda.
Posted by: outofline
We went out riding again today and just got back from the Hospital!BR>My Wife just about broke her hand, we thought she had! She was going through a tight spot in some rocks and hit a big bolder with the left Front and it spun her suddenly to the right. I ran back to her and expected to see a broken arm the way she was holding it (and a broken Tie Rod) luckily neither happened no brake it was just a sprain!BR>Until then we had a good time racing around and made my favorite and best video to date, it's uploading now and will post it when I get it done! The Jetmotos again ran great, although I did lose the Front Fuel tank bolt on the Blue 150, oh well no biggie but I have lost a bolt now! BR>
One thing I will say is the 14t sprocket has dramatically decreased the speed of the 250's, It gained me the climbing ability that was lacking that I needed but over all speed has been reduced by close to half from the 17t, but thats probably a good thing that will help keep us going a bit slower so we don't kill our selves. As you will see the 150 are not too much slower then the 250's now.
Load Load Load, my slow DSL is killing me on video uploading time!

Hope You like it!
Posted by: outofline
I would estimate mid to high 40's for top speed with the 14t! I really need to clock them!
Posted by: outofline
Our steering loosened up after a few weeks of riding! The 150's were quite hard at first now it's not an issue at all!
Posted by: outofline
I had found this Jetmoto 250 months ago and had inquired about it but no one wanted to fess up about it. It was not the 06 250 sport as some had stated, I remember seeing that one and it was not a twin cylinder. But I just went to my local Chinese dealer and there it was but was labeled a Tomahawk 300cc. I'm glad this is not the current Jetmoto quad cus it looked pretty bad. Front drum that did not seem to stop to well, big ugly speedo, Turn signals, and several other things that just did not look to great. They wanted $2600 for it!
Sorry for being a bit off topic but had to report!
Posted by: outofline
Im not 100% sure that its a twin cylinder (it's not a v twin) but it has two carbs and two exhaust pipes! It's no biggy I just thought it funny to have now seen one of these quads in person!

That first video was with the 17t front, it's much easier now with the 14t. I would not call the 250 a power house but it has enough power to have some fun with.

Hi Rkangel777,
I really have been impressed with our 150's, they are great climbers and are great for our younger boys and also will haul me around with no problem as you can see by my videos! If you read through all the Jetmoto posts on here you will see the items these quads have had issues with, but over all the 150's have been the least repairs of the two models we have!
Posted by: outofline
Fixed, Never mind!

Look what happened to my Red 2350 today, looks like this may really be a problem. My boy was jumping and this is what happened on the last jump!

Corrosion? MWQ had the same thing happen on his first outing on his 250. It is a design flaw that they have already addressed just happens mine was from the first shipments before the flaw was found! Bill Go play somewhere else unless you have a Jet 250!
Posted by: outofline
It was a sharp steep jump that he was getting a few feet in height but would come down hard. From what they have stated Jet has made the replacements and new quads much stronger , just not sure what they did to fix it but thicker metal would have done the trick and I'm guessing that is what has been done!
Posted by: outofline
Bill you must have real personal issues and you must have no life to spend your time on the Chines forums to leave trash posts again and again. We have never claimed the Chines quads are better then your Polaris or any other American or Jap quad. The only corrosion you see is discoloration on the chain and that is from the chain lube I use. There is no rust or corrosion on the part you see that broke. It broke because of a weakness in the thin eyelet Jetmoto designed into the mount for the Dogbone. Any person with half a brain can see this clearly by the photo I supplied which is why you can't see it. MWQ had this same thing happen, we hoped it was a metal defect only his had but apparently if this quad with this same swingarm bracket is jumped hard enough it will break. No, I'm not happy with it because it's going to be alot of work to replace.
I would love to have Honda's but these Jetmotos were what we could afford to get out riding this year and we have been out around 20 times now and have had fun and all my 4 boys have learned to ride on them. Some day I would love to replace them with Honda's but until we can afford to do so these Jets will have to do!
Posted by: outofline
So your saying every time your quad get wet you disassemble every bolt and hand dry every contact point?
Thanks for pointing out these Jetmotos are Junk, you have done an invaluable service to all!
And I did not come on here with a negative attitude post about the break, I simply pointed out now there has been two documented breaks on this part so we do have a problem all who has this same swing arm will want to address so they do not have the same happen to them!
Posted by: outofline
BreakHere is MWQ break, looks surprisingly just like my break and his had no corrosion and was brand new, Good call on my maintenance Bill you really know your stuff!!
Posted by: outofline
My 16 year old who weighs 150lbs rides it mostly although both I and my wife have ridden it a little. The blue 250 shows no sign but I'm sure if the same impact was given it would give way also just like yours. No he was not hurt, just afraid that I was going to get real mad at him which I didn't. I looked closer today and can't see any other frame damage but it did put a good dent in the bottom of the muffler which hit the rear axle. It also broke the spring on the chain roller and chewed up the roller.
I am assuming Raceway and Jet will step up and replace all the effected parts, it's still under the warranty!

I know we have only heard from MWQ that Jet had redesigned and strengthened the newer 250 Swing Arm Shock Mount, I just got my replacement today and it's the same swing arm as my broken one is with no new improvements!

My fix solution for the weak construction of the swing arm shock Mount (at the bottom of my Repair Page)! These pieces will be welded onto the existing brackets as well as the swing arm it's self!

I'm sure welding thick washers would make s big difference on an unbroken arm. I am now not going to replace the broken arm seeing how this arm is no different then my broken one. We will weld these pieces with the arms still on the quad. After all this time you would think someone in the know would have spoke up about the claims of a new redesigned swing arm was never made a reality. I had been touting it since you had made the claims so now it makes me look as a lier also. Little disappointed with the way this was handled!
Posted by: outofline
windtrader, the swing arm you are refering to is the 150's arm (I have two of them also) They are not the same swing arm as the 250's and the 200's. They are built quite different and I have not heard anything about them using this swing arm for the bigger quads!
I do think the Washer Idea would work, it's is at the thin 1/4 eyelet that breaks so any way to reinforce this area will do the trick as long as it is welded nicly to the brackets!
Ya know had Jet simply just told the Manufactor early on to double up on that Bracket on both sides or use a thicker metal there I believe this problem would have been solved.
Posted by: outofline
The 150 has the different swing arm (not sure what the measurement differences are between the two arms but the 200 and 250's all come with the swing arm that has now had two breaks (documented on here at least). The 200 uses the same frame and swing arm as the 250 (and now the motor with 50 less cc's). But the 200 runs the same smaller tires and wheels as the 150 and that is where you are seeing the same height with your two quads. I do really like the Slasher hole shot tires of the 250 over the 150 and 200. Looks as if the 200 also shares the same suspension as the 250!?
Posted by: outofline
The 150's frame is simular to the others but has been shortened at the Red circle area and kindof stubbed with the uprights, where the 200 and 250 are the same!

I have been noticing this the last month or so, my Blue quads are turning Purple! I have not noticed any big change in the red perhaps not as bright as they once were but I am not to happy with the blue! I have not left these out in the sun for long at all, they have only seen the sun for maybe 30 or so days in 6 months. I have a tarp that has always been on them when they have not been ridden that stated on the package it was UV proof/rated!? I bought it at Walmart and has a Silver side and Blue side. Other then a thicker cover or garaging them I don't know what else I could have done to protect them. But I have would not have expected the color to change as it has! In this pic of my 250 you can see where the Jetmoto sticker use to be that fell off a couple months back!

I had not heard of that 303 stuff, is it available locally? How often would you have to apply it? Would Armorall (might really attract dust) do the same also? I guess I never thought the plastic would do this or I would have searched to find a solution. I was hesitant about reporting this discoloration but this is information along with solutions are what a lot of people might like to know!

Cus they have money and if we all had enough money we would also be riding Honda's, Hmmmm they don't ride Cats what does that tell ya! We don't ride Jetmotos because we believe them to be the best atv's out there, they fit our budget where none others did! No you again are wrong just like your diagnosing I proved you wrong on, your analogy should have been "I would rather push my Cat then ride a Chinese". Well go ahead and push just make room for us to get our Chinese POS past!

Nice bunch of quads! I am expecting a 250 sport next week. Did you snap any pics of the 250? Did it come about like the 150 you have pics of? Anything special I should look out for as far as assembly?
Appreciate any info you can provide!

With the 15 tooth the Jetmoto 150 will out climb the 250 from a stand start from the bottom of the hill! The 150 is a real climbing machine! Not sure a 14 tooth will even take it down far enough for my liking! Riding all day I don't think I got into 4th gear more then once.
The only other complaint with the 250 is that the chain slaps the glider all the time and is quite noisy! I have seen a Roketa 250 that had top and bottom chain tentioners that would solve this problem (they were even gears rollers), just an idea.
The 250's run great and was real easy for the wife to ride!
I am adding a link to all my videos I make on my Photo page!outofline
I'm with you on the gearing. Climbing and trail riding is what me and my son plan on doing. While I have a 15 tooth sprocket coming, I too would be interested if there is a 14 or 13 tooth sprocket available. A 250 thumper should have alot of "grunt" power.
I agree also about the chain slapping the swingarm. Makes quite a racket. I think if the spring on the tensioner was stronger it might help. The pad on top of the swingarm, and the tensioner roller are way too hard. Nylon, or UHMW would be better, and they are somewhat self lubricating.
BTW, I did find out you cannot oil the air filter. It won't run very well. I had to wash mine back out. I also made a guard out of perferated sheet metal for the oil cooler. I used the two upper cooler mounting bolts to attach it. Figured it couldn't hurt, and will keep rocks/sticks from punching a hole in the cooler.
All this is meant to be constructive critisism.

I'd be willing to be a "tester" for the '08 model!
Posted by: 00XJ
Well I got the 15 tooth sprocket installed. Made quite a difference. I agree that a 13 tooth sprocket might be perfect. Still can't lug it down like I feel a 250 thumper should, but MUCH better. Looks like I'm going to have to remove a link in the chain. I have no more take up left, and I'm sure it isn't through stretching. BTW, is the sprocket supposed to float in and out on the output shaft? The retainer dosen't mount it up tight on mine.
Curious... if the motor is an older Yamaha design, wouldn't Yamaha have sprockets that would fit?

Really? I talked to him and he said he has some 14 tooth sprockets coming, but didn't think a 13 tooth was available. Should I call John back, because I want one!

Are the "jet kits" available thru Raceway, or directly from JetMoto? Whats the price on them?
Posted by: 00XJ
Well I got the 14 tooth sprocket installed. It made all the difference, now it acts like a 4 stroke thumper should. Plenty of torque, and for the type of riding my son and I do it's perfect.

No I have not. Do the kits come from Raceway? What kind of preformance gains did you see?

Call John and ask for the updated jets. They improve bottom end response and also make start up easier and the warm up period shorter.
Thanks, will do.
BTW do the kits come with any info as to adjustments and such? Like how many turns in or out is the starting point?

I have not pressure washed them I only use our garden hose and towel dry!
Jetmoto, please up the quality on the decals!
Dittos! There are none left on my son's 250.

Whew... Way too much work!
I'm no expert but here is my experience assembling a Jetmoto ATV.
1. I wouldn't wait until the jet kit gets there. They run pretty good the way they come.
2. Go with the 14 tooth spkt. on all of them. The 15 tooth is still too high. Go ahead and do
change out before you start it up. The 17 tooth is awful hard on the clutch.
3. There's nothing wrong with the LG sparkplug. No need to change out right away.
4. There is no oil filter on the 250 Sport.
5. I drained the oil, and refilled with Valvoline 10w40. I ran that for about 30 minutes, and
drained it again. I decided to run Valvoline full synthetic 20w50 during the summer.
6. Again there is nothing wrong with the factory fuel lines, or filter.
This is my experience with my son's 250 sport. Someone correct me if I am wrong anywhere.
This is my opinion too.
DO NOT LET IT SIT AND IDLE FOR ANY EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME during the "break in" period.
Start it up, let it warm up some, and go... easily, but go. It is important to vary the speed on ANY new engine. Also important to shut the choke off as soon as possible. You don't want to be dumping a rich mixture into the engine any longer than necessary.
You can go over 10 mph, just don't run the rev's up too high in any gear, ie. 2000 rpm is 2000 rpm no matter what gear your in, or how fast your going.
Again, all this is my opinion, do what you think is best. Enjoy!!!

I'll chime in here again. I'm pretty happy with the 250 Sport. My son loves it. No lose bolts here either. My son could care less about the stickers coming off.
Problems I have had, The holes in the rear sprocket are too large for the bolts. The sprocket will piviot some. The bolt circle is correct, but the holes are simply too big. Causes a little driveline slop. Might redrill, and retap the hub to allow larger bolts to be used.
The rear of the gas tank leaked, John sent a new tank.
The friction material on the outer pad on the rear bake simply disappeared, made an awful noise. New pads coming, thanks again John.
Water leaks into the headlights. I plan on sealing them with some silicone. No biggie.
One that has shown up lately is the exhaust valve clearance adjuster has had to be "re-adjusted" 4 times now. The engine began ticking, and I found the clearance was WAY too much. I have since cleaned the rocker arm, the adjusting stud, and the lock nut with carb cleaner and locktited it twice. Hopefully it will remain set. Problem is there is no more thread above the adjusting nut, and there is at least 1/8" above it on the intake valve. There appears to be no damage and the engine runs fine. The valve spring looks to be the same height as the intake's, and the pushrod is not bent, and there is no damage to either the valve stem or the adjustment stud.
There is some slop in one of the lower ball joints, it was that way from the get go.
Again, I am happy with the 250, and I know Raceway will stand behind it. The times I have called John he has been right on any problem. I received my jet kit today, and will put them in tomorrow. I have let the ball joint issue go for now cause it's a blast to ride, and I feel like I'm going to "wear out my welcome" calling John about stuff.

No big deal to fix. I removed the hub/sprocket assembly, and took them apart. I drilled out the holes in the sprocket to 3/8". I redrilled the hub with a 5/16" drill bit, and retapped the hub to 3/8-16 threads. I then reassembled them, and tightened the bolts down. I then put lock nuts on the bolt's threads sticking out of the hub. Problem fixed.
Only problem I had was the bolt heads would rub the swingarm/bearing area slightly. I ended up just grinding the bolt heads down some. At least now I could get a thin wrench onto the bolt heads IF I need to retighten them, as opposed to the button heads JetMoto used. I really don't think I will ever have to though.
Posted by: 00XJ
There are 4 bolts holding the sprocket on the hub. I reworked the assembly at work yesterday, and assembled it back together then.
It wasn't until I got home with it that I found that the bolt heads would rub slightly on the swingarm/bearing area. As I said I just ground down the bolt heads slightly and that gave me the clearance I needed. I know grinding the bolt heads isn't the most "professional" thing to do but hey... it was that or chuck it up in a lathe and have them turn the heads down. I didn't want to have to use button head bolts since you cannot get an allen wrench into the bolt head because it is right up against the swingarm if they ever needed tightening.
BTW, I used grade 8 3/8-16 bolts.

The JetMotos have their little problems/quirks but they are a blast to ride, and well worth the price. The excellent service from Raceway ATV helps too! My son and I are looking forward to going out to an offroad park Saturday.
Hope it gets to you ASAP!

Well my son and I went out today. We rode for about 3.5 hours total. The 250 Sport preformed FLAWLESSLY! It went everywhere I went, and then some. It wouldn't have with the stock rear tires though. Deep gooey mud, 10" deep creek, sand dunes you name it.
I buried my Polaris in some soft sand, and the only reason my son didn't make it up the hill was he has to slow down because of me.
Keep in mind what the 250 Sport is, an inexpensive, but excellent bang for the buck sport quad. The Chinese couldn't sell it for $2000 if it had a liquid cooled engine, and all the bells and whistles.

I have spacers on the rear and it is very stable. i have also put a twist throttle on it, very cool. you can get one from j.c. whitney for under thirty bucks. i am still working on the suspension, seems very soft. i broke one of the front shocks jumping about 4 or 5 foot high, so i don't recommend big jumps until you stiffen up the suspension. john took care of me on the shock, thanks john. it still seems to be hard to turn, i have towed in the front tires a little and adjusted the a-arms for a little camber and it helped some. i'm going to try puting the outer tie on the other way and see if the angle will help free it up more. these quads are a great buy in my opinion and since i have gotten mine there are 2 new dealers locally selling roketas and sunl for around the same price, but they don't look to have same quality. so before long i will come up against one out riding and see how far ahead the jetmoto is. can't wait!!!
How did you adjust the camber? Did you adjust the upper balljoints, if so did you set the top of the tires in, or out. My son's 250 seems hard to turn also. What exactly do you mean about the tierod "the other way"?
As far as speed, my son's will keep up with my Polaris. We topped out at 50 mph today, and that is with the 14 tooth spkt, the jet kit from Raceway, and a 135# 15 year old riding it. Plenty fast enough.
Sometimes by the sound of the intake I wonder if the carb is too big. I remember from my musclecar days a carb that is too big is no better than one that is too small. The intake sounds like it is flowing too much air, and the velocity is slowing down under load.
Posted by: 00XJ
Thanks for the info. I'll try the camber thing. I wonder if simply mounting up a wider set of handlebars would make it easier to steer? It would give you more leverage. The stock one's are narrow.
Still curious how it would run with a slightly smaller carb. It might take away some top end, but you might lose the "lag" the engine seems to have by keeping the intake velocity higher.

I have a 15 tooth sprocket on my jetmoto 250 and it still is lacking in climbing power. i also broke the left front shock , john is sending me another one , other than that we have rode the thing hard and it has exceeded my expectations.
Posted by: dccarr
i broke the shock on a 5 ft high jump, i think. i took the jump several times and never felt anything funny, but on post ride inspection where the shaft goes into the resevoir, the cap the shaft goes thru had popped out and was bent. i think it must have bottomed out. i'm not sure how to adjust these shocks, but they all feel a little soft after several days riding. i don't really know about the sprockets the 15 tooth was a huge improvement over the original, 13 or 14 may be the answer, but it may need a combination of front and rear sprockets to keep any kind of topend. i'm going to ask john to send me what he has and try it. i have also heard about a carb jet kit for these as well, i will ask john about this as well.

JOHN TOLD ME TO CALL IN THE AM ON JET KIT AND SPROCKETS. RACEWAY HAS GREAT SERVICE AND I AM PLANNING TO BUY ANOTHER 250 FROM THEM. HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT A BIGGER JETMOTO? THE 250 PULLS ME AROUND PRETTY GOOD, BUT IT REALLY FLYS WITH MY TEENAGERS OR WIFE ON IT. THERE IS NEW LOCAL DEALER SELLING ROKETAS HERE, I'M HOPING I CAN PUT THE JETMOTO UP AGAINST ONE AND SEE WHERE WE STAND AGAINST OTHER CHINESE ATVS.
Posted by: dccarr
they are oil filled shocks and adjustable. i have saw aftermarket racing shocks like the ones on the 250's for sale between $500 to $1700 in atv magazines. i'm sure the jetmoto shocks are lesser quality than fox racing shocks, but anykind of oil shock should be superior to other shocks. do the smaller jetmotos feel stiffer or bottom out? the 250's should absord bumps better, instead of jarring you.
Posted by: dccarr
Still waiting on my front shock, but i did recieve a jet kit , does anyone know what size carb is on the 250?
Posted by: dccarr
MWQ how are the jetmoto dirt bikes? my 13 year old has a yamaha ttr 125 and wants something bigger, and faster. would a jetmoto stand up in enduro race?
Posted by: dccarr
John at raceway sent my jets free. Thank you Raceway, service after the sale. I have installed the jets but am still waiting on front shock, so i don't know if they help. Does anyone know of any other performance mods for these jetmotos. I put spacers on the rear wheels and a twist throttle on so far.
Posted by: dccarr
I recieved my shock and able to ride again. I still don 't have a 14 tooth sprocket, but with the jet kit and 15 tooth my jetmoto is just a little bit slower out of the hole than my stock 03 blaster, which really surprised me and everyone i have told. running on up through the gears the jetmoto never lost any more ground than the 3 or 4 lengths from the holeshot. I think with the 14 tooth they will be about equal and that says alot about the jetmoto power wise to run with a 200cc 2 stroke. the blaster will turn sharper, but is no where near as stable as my jetmoto. For some reason the jetmoto seems to take more effort to turn, any ideas about that ? We are going to some sand hills tomorrow, so i will have a update on the climbing ability compared to the blaster and whatever else is there.
Posted by: dccarr
good to have you here AZRON. great idea on the vinyl decals. don't know about the typhoon where do they sell them? I am really satisfied with the jetmoto and raceway has great service and support. i believe jetmoto is set on perfecting there product and as of now they are already the best chinese make.
Posted by: dccarr
Reefskinner, the jetmoto is only a 250, it's not really fair to compare it to something with nearly twice as many cc's and more than three times the price tag. I have yet to put my jetmoto up against anything but my 03 blaster, but it runs pretty close to my blaster. My blaster is every bit as fast as 350 raptors i have rode with. I still don't have a 14 tooth sprocket for my jetmoto, they must on backorder, but with the 15 tooth it still runs pretty good. These engines could put out more HP with some work on the intake and exhaust, as well as ignition. I am still searching for what this motor is a clone of. My local cycle shop thinks it might be 200cc yamaha big wheel motorcycle engine. Bottom line is these are sport quads, they aren't being sold as race ready.

OOXJ, i towed the front tires in a little and adjusted the upper ball joints to move the top of the tire in. It helped a little with the bump steer, but it is still hard to turn. I think it might have something to with the angle of the tie rod from the steering shaft to the spindle. I was thinking about putting the outer tie rod on upside down but i don't know if there is enough adjustment to do so. With the front end jacked up it steers easier than my other quad but riding it i think it takes 2 or 3 times the effort to turn it. This is a 30mm carb, other quads have various sizes up to a 33mm on a yamaha big bear 250, but hondas run much smaller, a 22mm on a trx 250. I'm not sure how to get more power out of these yet but its there
Posted by: dccarr
Sorry to hear that pimpsmurf, I was hoping for feedback on what you thought of your JM. I just recieved my 14 tooth sprocket after 3 weeks waiting. So far with the 15tooth i have climbed all the local sandhills, you just have to have some speed up before you hit em. I have also been jumping it again and the shocks are holding up just fine. I think the shock that broke must have been defective, not poor quality. We have been putting it through the paces, but still would like some more power. The carb is a 30mm and it has a cone style air filter, if that helps any. I posted a couple of new action pics in my bio also.
Posted by: dccarr
Pimpsmurf, I put 2 1/2"wheel spacers on the blaster after riding the JM. The JM was much wider and more stable than the blaster stock. I put the wheel spacers on the front and back of the blaster. I also put the 2" spacers from john on the back of the JM and the rear end is still wider than the blaster. I didn't think the JM really needed them on the front, but it looks pretty mean from the rear. Also while installing the sprocket on the JM I took the cover off the blasters front sprocket and the shaft and sprocket look the same. Tomorrow i will make sure they will interchange and post back.

Great video!! Did you guyz ride through the Big tunnel/cave?? I was thinking... So much as to see smoke coming from my ears... Just a thought... Don't know If I'm right or not but..... In nascar they use restricter plates to limit the cars speed... The restricter plate allows less air/fuel into the engine to limit how fast the car can go.... If the jets in the 250's are in fact too small, as john seems to think... You would be in a way "restricted" on how fast/rpm's the atv will go... So when you install the new jets.. You should see a decent improvement in performance... Bigger jets=more fuel=more power.... Sound good????

He will work you a great deal... And you will receive excellent customer service...
Posted by: TriplxX07
Congrats on the new atv's... valvoline sells a 10w 40 motorcycle oil.. That's what I have been using.. You can get it at any Autozone parts store..

I had a bad spark plug on mine, so if it runs.. No need to change.. But always good to have a spare sitting around...

Great video!! I think raceway sells alluminum rims for the jetmoto...

I'm following this thread with great interest, as we're a family of SIX and are looking at picking up AT LEAST 4 quads and couple of dirt bikes for everyone.
We may wind up with 6 quads. At this point, I'm leaning towards either the JetMotos and/or the Extreme Typhoon.
I like the fact that the JM's have EXCELLENT service and parts availability through Raceway...that's a BIG factor for me. I'd be willing to bet my kids are
as adept at breaking things as any of yours!!! BR>As far as the cheap decals, I was thinking about having some run off in vinyl... granted, it would only be one color, either black or white, but the vinyl decals
have proven their durability being on the rear windows of almost every vehicle in the free world. Maybe Raceway would pursue this...
If you have a few hundred made, they'd be VERY inexpensive.
Thanks to you ALL for these forums... it's a WONDERFUL source of information, and makes doing the research and coming to a decision SO much easier.

Well, we went out today and hit a couple of dealers... I finally saw the Jetmoto 250cc Sport in person... very nice, very comfortable.
We saw a few of the Boreen (BMS) quads... also a very nice feel, they LOOKED like they were of a nice quality, but I've searched online since we've
gotten home and can't find much. They're on the pricier side. The sales guys were trying to tell me they were the highest quality coming out of China,
but the fact that I can't find much info on them on the net scares me. I'm really leaning towards the JetMotos... All of you have REALLY influenced my decision on it.
My son is set on a pitbike that we found locally, but it likes like soon I'll be ordering FIVE JetMotos... at the moment, 2-110's, 2-150's, and 1-250.
Anyone know if John will work me a killer deal on buying FIVE of them?? BR>Also, anyone know if there is financing available?? I can do cash, but it'll be a few months out... Everyone is chomping at the bit, so I thought I'd ask about financing.
Thanks guys!!

maybe thats my problem i read to much, after owning 8 chinese atv"s i think i have the right to express my opinion, i had m/c and atv' since 1965, i've owned more m/c's than i could prossibly think of including sacks, sears allstate, factory RR bikes from both honda and yamaha, 3 wheelers , 4 wheelers owned a m/c atv dealer from late 70's to early 90's and never in my life seen this kinda crap coming from any other country
yea thats probably why

Hurray!
Long story short, Me and my brother (both over 6' and 230-300lbs) have "outgrown" a Kazuma Falcon 110cc deluxe he got for $100 from a towing company. We didn't know what a great deal it was until last night when I was up until 4:30 reading about it here! Great information guys! I really appreciate all the time you have put into your research and posts! So last night I decided I was going to save up for a quad after coming across this sweet ride. I'm 6'4" 300lbs (I'm not fat, I'm American) and my brother decided to do the same. My dad, overhearing, said he would buy one also, but had to out-do us by getting a 400cc Japanesse brand quad. 3-4 cases of sticker shock and a little bit of knowledge dropping and he decided to buy one like we were going to save for.
Here is the kicker, In something I could only imagine to be a fit of middle age crissis or perhaps some extreme desire to spend more quality time with us kids (23 & 26 years old), he decided to buy all three of for us tomorrow! =)
Maybe it was the karma from putting the jetmoto picture on my background. Who knows.... Who cares!?!
As terribly unnecisary that little story was, I'm still kinda stoked, so bare with me.
Having done my research, I've decided to purchase them from Racewayatv.com. I found the information on how to adjust the carbs on chinesse quads which was very nicely done. So I think I've got that covered. I guess it's going to take a couple hours to assemble. From pictures I found, it seems the brakes for the front need some assembly as well as putting on the wheels and handlebars.
Questions: Can anyone guess at the time required to get it ready for an oil swap and first crank? I'm thinking 2-3 hours for the first one, and 1-2 for the other 2 once we get the idea. Hopefully anyway. We are all pretty good with a wrench, but none of us have any serious experience with assembly or ATVs.
I've prepared a list of things to get with the ATV. Anyone have anything to add?
*) 3x Jet kits (racewayatv)
*) 3x 15 & 14 gears (I'm going 14, but dad and my brother might stay on a 15. It still comes with a 17 gear? I read somewhere that they were changing to a 15 tooth. *shrug*
*) 6 NGK D8EA spark plugs to put in right away with 3 backups
*) 9 oil filters (waiting for parts = bad)
*) 10w40 valvoline for breakin, then I think someone said to use Motol brand ATV 20W50? ("Ain't no heat like the Carolina heat") Would the $5.00+ ATV/Motorcycle oil they have at Advance Auto be cool? I'm not sure what brand name it is. BR>*) Fuel Line and Fuel filters to replace the crappy stock stuff. Does anyone have any idea what size ID hose to use? part numbers for filters? or just wing it?
This is what we plan to do after we put it together.
1) Drain the oil and replace with 10W40 valvoline
2) Crank and idle for 30 minutes making any slight adjustments needed to help it idle well for the 30 minutes. Shouldn't be too much of an issue I hope. I'll be rereading the "How to setup a carb" guide over and over this weak. I come from a nitro RC racing background, so I have a little bit of a clue, but this is all new to me, so I'm trying to learn, rather than assume.
3) After 30 minutes of idleing, we are going to drain the oil again and load it with ATV oil (doesn't have friction modifiers?) and change the filter
4) Going to do about 3 hours of breakin. slowly accelerate to 10mph over and over gradually increasing the throttle and speed and coasting to a stop each time. Hopefully we won't have to mess with the carb too much. Maybe this part might be a little bit of overkill, but I guess that is just the way I am. "If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing right!"
5) One final oil and filter change before we get it dirty.
I plan on doing jets and 14 tooth gears right after the 30 minute idle, I also will be putting on a K&N Filter because I can remember to clean it after using it. =)
I just figured I would share the good news with you guys. If you have anything to add or any suggestions/tips that I missed please do so!
I'm in South Carolina, so maybe I'll be able to get it by Friday or Saturday. I guess it depends on if he can ship it that quick, and it's still probably wishful thinking. Who knows. I be cool with it being delivered at 1am on Friday night! haha
Again, thanks for the info, and sorry for the long post. Maybe it will help someone out there.
Here is something funny, one of the things a lot of people have been griping about is the stickers falling off, which is great for me because I was worried about how hard it was going to be to get them off so I can get some custom vinyl graphics on it at the local sign shop. Cheers!

Thanks for the info guys!
I went ahead and got 9 quarts of Valvoline 20W50 ATV/Motorcycle Oil today as well as 6 NGK D8EA Spark plugs (A $1.88 spark plug isn't going to ruin my day on the trails)
I spoke with John today and he was excellent. He is looking up the K&N Air filter part number and might post it to the thread. This is something else that probably isn't needed, but it's reusable and probably cheap, so what the heck. If anyone knows the correct part number, I'm trying to order it if I can't find it locally. The Jetmoto 250s are back ordered 1-2 weeks right now (apparently recoil from the hype it's been getting), so I have some time to get the air filter.
I'm going to try to find an annodized alluminum inline filter that will fit to dress it up. I'm going to replace the fuel hose only if it's a problem (and only because I saw someone recommend it here.) I plan to wrap the wiring and hoses in wire covers as is popular cars these days.
We are going with the 14 tooth and I'm sure that is what Dad and I will want, but my brother is a whiner, so who knows if it will be enough. He will probably break it in a few days anyway. I'm much less of a "rough rider."
The oil filter is a metal reusable filter. Just degrease it and rinse then splash with alchohol and dry.
It's been said over and over that you need to let it idle for 30 minutes (blipping the throttle lightly just to keep it running) so the gelpack that is protecting the float in the carb doesn't clog any jets. If this isn't correct, someone with experience please step in and say so. I plan on having this Quad in perfect condition for my unborn children to ride... =)
As far as the 10 mph thing, I was thinking from a nitro racing (single speed trannys only) perspective. It didn't occur to me that there are multible gears. Still, I think I'm going to keep it in 2nd gear and come on and off to make sure that the seal with the piston and sleave (does this even have a sleave?) is great. Compression is important. Again, I might be going off the deep end, but my brother is sure to pop a wheelie while the gel is still melting, so I will report any problems his impatience causes.
Did you say you used regular (automobile) valvoline 10W40 or the synthetic motorcycle oil? Why did you use 10W40 and then 20W50? It's 80F here already and will only get hotter from here. I got 9 quarts of the 20W50. Think that will be cool? Your the 2nd person I've seen say 10W40, then 20W50, and I wasn't sure if there was a reason.
The jets should hopefully get here before the ATVs because the lady at raceway said they would ship priority mail. Even if they ship them with the quads, I should get it sooner.
As far as assembly goes, is there anything to watch out for? tips and tricks? How long should I expect to get one out of the box and putting around (given a 30 minute idle time if needed?)
Thanks again!

outofline, your breaking my heart!
> 1. Front end steering and suspension is sloppy compared to big 4 build quality
Not only discouraging, but dangerous. A good technical diagram with a parts explosion would be ideal. The manual should be in propper english, if it is not.
> 2. Better quality Decals
I could care less, but I certainly understand why one would like to keep it looking new.
> 3. Better quality Rubber parts (hoses, spacers, straps, boots and such)
hoses and straps are cheap and easy to replace with high quality components, as I will probably do right away. What boot are you talking about being cracked? It's RWD, so what boot is there on the front? Sorry, I don't have mine yet so I can't look. haha
> 4. Paint on engine is already wearing off where foot rubs, Better quality paint?
Not so bad, but if $10 added to the price would get better paint, I am confident that most people interested in buying one would like to know that a .5% increase in price means they won't be removing rust and repainting it anytime soon.
> 7. Better quality on off controls on the 250 Sport (why not use the same as the 150)
Kinda dumb for them not to do, however it would be an easy change. I don't mind modding, but at what point does it just became better to have paid $3,800 for a 07 honda 250ex?
> 8. Larger capacity fuel tank with a reserve
Doesn't bug me, although I don't know what kind of runtimes you get on a tank. A reserve is just a no brainer...
> 9. I hate the 250 Sport front bumper reminds me of a cattle crossing grade or a steam train front end; I would rather have the 150's but without the chrome.
I like it =)
> 10. Larger plastic, the 07 plastic seems almost like a bikini.
My brother said virtually the same thing, but I like it. It's certainly different, but I don't know how effective it is at stopping anything whatsoever from hitting you. I dig it the way it is, at least from the pictures.
> So far Raceway and Jetmoto has been great to work with and my reason for posting this is not to make these new quads look bad and problem machines but to give Jetmoto an Idea of what the real world is seeing with these quads in hopes upgrades can be made. Like I stated I may add to this list as time goes by!
Right on. I'm impressed with raceway's ability to answer almost all of my questions very quickly. The only one they were not sure of was what K&N filter will fit it, but the lady I spoke with said that John would share the part numbers with us here when he is certain.
I understood that this was going to require a little bit of elbow grease to keep tip-top, as I expect any reasonable person looking at a quad almost 1/2 the cost of it's competition. Not to mention the features on this quad aren't even found on the competition (look up an 07 honda ATV. check out the shocks, etc)
I don't have a problem double checking the nuts, bolts, and using loctite on anything that moves (and shouldn't), but if the thing needs better rubber, there just isn't anything I can do about that. hose and straps are one thing. I'm not bothered by modification and replacement on a few dollars worth of fuel tubing, but the boots (whatever/whereever they are) bother me. I hope I do not have the same problem, but I think I'll be hunting some rubber treatment while mine is on order.
Mind you! I'm just responding to outofline's coments, and not talking about my experience with the quad, as I do not yet have it. Perhaps this new shipment will be different, however unlikely that is.
I'm glad to know I won't have a gelpack to deal with. I guess we just have to slap the tires on and roll?
If I'm pleased with the quad's quality over-all, I plan to do many upgrades in short order. Some different tires (perhaps swamp type tires) on alluminium rims and most likely spacers on the front, and perhaps the rear. The aluminium handlebars will be great as well. But the best that I can tell is that that is all I can do other than paint (which will probably be on the adgenda as I know a good paint guy who works for peanuts. =)
I would like to see some aftermarket or upgrade parts. There should be replacement parts for all non-standard items (like the boots) that are made with very high quality materials. If you know anything about RC racing, Losi actually makes 3 different materials for every part they sell. They make a cheap plasic part for thier stock ready-to-run kits (which is not very ridged and does not break easily, but can bend permanently.) Thier replacement parts are made with a higher quality, more ridged plastic which will last much longer without warping, but can break where the original wouldn't. Then they make graphite composites that are extremely ridged and can take a serious hit without breaking, but still won't warp permanently. If you want to keep the price point, which is definately attractive, you should have a company which also makes high quality replacement parts. Even if the parts are 20% more than they would be, customer satisfaction would be great. It would be awsome if you could afford to make a honda for 1/2 the price, but in reality, the labor differences could not possibly cover the gap when you get into high-end technical designers. That is why these engines are loosly based on existing technology (aka cloned.)
I really need to go to bed. I'm ranting. Have a good one, and here is to trying to dream about riding my quad in 2 weeks instead of 3.

Right on. I'm hoping to see if some shims will help out here or there to tighten everything up a little bit. The problem is, when you get the suspension and steering totally tight and ridged (ie, no play) you run the risk of breaking stuff should something bad happen. Most High-end RC cars come with a small amount of play that an expert driver can choose to shim for better handling. I guess you helped my fears a little about the bolts. I figure I'll just check the bolts I can see, break in the engine and run it a while on some bumpy trails and then see if anything comes loose. If i decide to paint the whole frame and motor, I might go ahead and strip it and loctite everything. They make a machine that will apply loctite to bolts for use in assembly plants. I imagine that it would be worth the cost in the long run if you count parts that break because of loose bolts.
I'm still not sure what boot your talking about, but I'll have mine soon enough. =)
Here is to hoping!

If anyone has a caliper to measure the diameter of the bolts (the threads), the thickness of and diameter of the hole in the sprocket, the info would be usefull. Something as simple as a specialty bolt would solve the problem. In fact, I'll bet the bolt already has a space near the head where the OD of the bolt is the same as the OD If there is a big enough of the difference between the bolt and hole size, a custom flanged steel washer would do the trick too.
Not an excuse for the problem to be corrected in China, but maybe a cheap solution to retrofit?
Of course, if jetmoto changes the sprocket, as opposed to the bolt and thread, a rear sprocket could fix us up, and be cheaper (time is money) that coming up with a custom solution. How many bolts are in the rear sprocket? I can't tell from the pictures on jetmotousa.com, but it looks to be 6. If it is, rotating it 20 degrees and redrilling smaller holes wouldn't be a good idea. If it is a 4 bolt sprocket, it could probably work, but that kind of work would require a press and a lot of patience.
-JNY
EDIT: just saw your post. Wow! I thought I was getting creative! Glad to know it was that easy. Great job. The bolts go in from the left side, through the sprocket, and into the hub, correct? You have lock washers where exactly? I got lost at that part.
RE-EDIT: Oh, locknuts, not lock washers. doh! Well kick ass! If anyone hasn't cut a bolt before, put a nut on it and screw it down past where you are going to cut and then cut / grind the bolt. Then screw off the nut and throw the nut away. It will typically mess up the threads on the nut while it straightens the threads on the bolt, and it definately makes it easier to get the bolt the thread into what you don't want to strip. If you grind down a bolt while it's in something (IE, the hub) you can sometimes tear up the thread on the hub. Maybe not depending on the metals involved. Great info man! Keep it coming!
Posted by: pimpsmurf
Oh! You ground the head, not the thread. I need to get mine so I can actually contribute to the discussion. I'm lost as to how it looks, so I'll shutup for now. haha
Sounds like you did a great job. I'm looking forward to getting mine. It looks like May 12-15 is primetime for delivery. It's coming from California to South Carolina, so I'm not sure what carrier will have it or if they deliver on weekends. Probably not, but who knows. I guess I will know more on the 7-8 when they ship mine out! =)

WOW! Great video man! How tall/heavy is your dad? The 250 seemed to have more than enough power slinging you around! Haha! The last part of that video was awsome. The wheelie off the top of the lip is the only trick I can do, but I love it! I did see what people are saying about the suspension being very soft. This is definately not a jump machine if you are over 200lbs I would think. I'm really going to have to do something to tighten the suspension, but the climbing was great. That is just with a 14 tooth and jets? Man! I want to see what it would do with the gears dropped even more (bigger rear gear.)
I'm even more pumped now, gonna watch your video again!
-JNY
Posted by: pimpsmurf
You could always get a 2nd set of rear rims and some smaller tires for doing climbing. If you go down to a much smaller tire in the rear, climbing hard surfaces like that loose dirt/rock would be much easier, although sand would be a problem. haha
Ahh! I thought that was him doing the climbing at the beginning, and thinking he was taller, figured he weighted more as well. I, being heavy, am trying to get a grasp on how it will handle with me on it. I guess I'm just going to have to try to diet harder.
UPDATE! Been dieting for weeks because I had to do math when using my scale (it passed 270, and went back around to 30...) I just went into the bathroom and weighted myself because someone mentioned that it looked like I was losing weight today. I have lost 30 lbs in 3 weeks! I'm down to 270 with clothes and shoes on! Maybe I wont' be too much of a fatty for the 14 tooth gearing afterall! HAHA
As far as improving horsepower goes, after the 6 month warantee is done, I plan to break the whole thing down and rebuild it. I have a guy that does custom work on cars (bored his truck engine out to the point that you can't drive it in the rain, ever.) He will help me port and polish the intake (his specialty with go carts, trucks, cars, etc), and then we can play with jets and maybe even an aftermarket ignition. If we could get a bigger spark with more air/fuel and tuned timing, this bugger could put out a bit more power I think. What is great about aftermarket ignitions, is you can get them with buttons where you can have one button for slightly advanced timings (for climbing) and another for higher timings (for flats and top end.) With the right jets and more air, it could happen, but I don't want to experiment until I'm sure it's stable enough to do so with. I think there is some changes that could be made to the piston as well to provide better vaporization, although that kind of physics is out of my field.
Watched your video again, and this thing is going to rule with spacers. I don't think I ever got a responce about spacers. Anyone know what, if any, modification is required to allow full steering? I just can't see anything that would get in the way. I plan on doing spacers and maybe alluminum rims if I can get some cheap.

Great video man! Looked like you guys were having a blast. I can't wait to have kids so I can get someone to ride with me. Looks like my brother isn't getting a jetmoto after all. Big drama, but anyways, hopefully dad and I will still be riding in 2 weeks!
Tough break on the wife's hand (no pun intended), but at least it's not broken! Makes me think even more about investing in some serious body armor. I would like to have one of the chest peices just for looks if nothing else.
What would you estimate the top speed at now with the 14 tooth? As long as I get going 45, I'll be happy. 50+ is probably way too fast for me.
Thanks for sharing the video man!
-JNY
Posted by: pimpsmurf
Good to hear! 45 is plenty fast for me I would think.
From what I understand, the exhaust system is already pretty open, and a new silencer may not be needed, although a custom exhaust manifold may help some. I have a local shop that are experts in exhaust fabrication, and I may have them look at it when I do the port and polish. What I'm wondering is if the stock carb would be usable after a port/polish and new manifold. Could even larger jets accomodate the fuel needed, or would it be better to just replace the carb? Did you know the D8EA spark plug for this thing is used on older lamborghini diablo VTs? Made me all warm and fuzzy.
Has anyone taken a look at the suspension yet? Someone mentioned upping the PSI on the nitrogen charge, but has it been done, and what were the results?
I don't guess the stock oil rate for the shocks is known is it? Anyone swapped with heavier fluid? (for faster loading and more dampening)
Anyone else looking for replacement shock springs with a higher rate?
EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm going to check if there are any spring clamps that will fit it to see if stretching the springs would provide enough preload to keep the shocks from bottoming out on a 270lb rider who makes doesn't see a drop off quick enough.
Thanks,
-JNY

Alrighty. I spoke with a fellow today about making some spacers for the shocks to stiffen the suspension for us heavy riders. The initial cost for me will be higher, but after that, he could replicate them fairly cheaply. If they work out, I'll let you guys know. I know a few people think the suspension is too soft. Maybe we can get away with some spacers and swapping the shock oil, but we are still going to need to know the initial oil weight so we have an easy starting point. Jetmoto/raceway want to chime in on that for us please?
He also suggested 18" wheels in the rear to open up a lot of power. That is the kind of wheel they are putting on the new suzukis. It ends up giving you about 1-1.5" less clearance, but allows for better gearing (15 tooth?) with more punch and a higher top speed (via rotating mass reduction.) IIRC, 1 lb of rotating mass removed gives the same performance increase as 17lbs of weight removed from the chassis.
We also spoke about doing a lightweight rod for the engine, and the C&C guy said he could make one "no problem" with an example to go by. A lighter, high quality steel rod would be stronger, and open up some more power for us. Plus, this could be replicated cheap. I'll probably see about ordering a new stock rod as a guide so the quad won't be down for a couple days.
The dude at the shop had actually heard of jetmoto, and knew a little about the new 07 sport. Watching videos on you tube makes me want nitrous now. BR>

Toe in will eliminate bump steer *because* it makes the quad harder to start steering. Basically toe in will make it harder to start a turn, and make it straighten up easier after the turn. Toe out (not recommended) will make it start corners better, but it will have more bump steer as well as easily start a turn.
It's best to have them tuned 1/2 - 1 degree toe in with 1-2 degrees camber front.
What surface are you having trouble turning on? dirt? Are you leaning? The rear should loose traction in a turn because there is no diff. The front outside wheel should be the only wheel that is really tracking a line. All others slip (more or less)

Under contact on thier main page, it lists an email address at sbeglobal.net, which is a spam company. I would advise contacting jetmoto at jetmotoUSA.com to be sure it's an authorized dealer. It could be a scammer.
EDIT: WHOOPS! I typed in sbeglobal.net, not SPCGlobal.net. My bad on that. They are at least a Verified Business vendor with paypal (only 67 buyers), and the account was made 6.5 years ago. Still, someone should contact jetmoto about that model. That is a tiny engine for a V Twin engine.
It's a type. Look closely at the pictures. It's not a V Twin, it's a single cylander. Maybe it *is* an 06...

Damn it all. I was told my ATV had shipped from Jetmoto, CA this monday/tuesday and havn't recieved any tracking information on it. The nice people at Raceway told me I should expect the tracking info on Wedsday, then on Friday or Monday. I called up Jetmoto, CA today, and they are saying that they won't be shipping any units until next week, so It looks like it's going to be another week of hoping it gets here. The way it's looking now, I might get it as late as the 25th.
This info might be incorrect, but the dude at Jetmoto seemed to know what he was talking about (Joe I think), which means 4 weeks to ship out something that was suppose to take 2-3. I understand that Jetmoto is at the mercy of US Customs, shipping and other companies/personel, but there has to be a better way of providing information to thier dealers. Raceway couldn't even really tell me anything other than call back monday if we don't email you. They did tell me on Monday that the quads WERE recieved on Friday the 4th, and should have shipped this past Monday/Tuesday.
This isn't a flame mind you, I'm just expressing disapointment and hoping that after they get caught up with all the backorders, maybe they will have the time to address the issues thier customers are having with parts breaking prematurely, and recieving prompt tracking information on packages.
This wouldn't even matter so much, but I manage/operate 5 family businesses in 3 cities, and making time to be sure I'm here to recieve the quads requires more than 24 hours notice. I also admit, I'm a little tired of watching the great videos you guys have put out, and interested in jumping on my own Jetmoto!
I guess as long as I get my quad before Ahmadinejad has nuclear weapons, I'll be happy. Might not be able to ride an ATV after the apocalypse. </politics>

Beautiful pictures man! The terrain just looks killer. Best I'm going to pull off is some trail riding. Hopefully I can get my dad to ride with me to Little Sahara in SC. It's suppose to have a lot of sand with pits, hills, and rollers for easy jumps. Should be fun. Man I can't wait to get my JM250, but looking at it compared to the blaster, the blaster is a whole lot wider. Maybe 2" extensions would be a good idea after all. Definately getting smaller wheels. =)

Yeah, dealing with customs can be a pain (putting it mildly). Like I said, It wasn't meant to be a flame. I understand you guys are all in a tough spot, but a wise man once said, "If you don't know, say you don't know. Don't tell someone what you think." I just hope everyone can get it figured out.
As far as wanting them worse then me, that isn't possible. I'm a little OC when I get into something, and I'm running out of youtube ATV videos to watch. HAHA
Hopefully we will know something monday.
Dccarr: Yeah, I think i remember reading that somewhere. I think I'm definately doing 2" spacers on the front and rear now. That blaster looks mean! With the smaller wheels in the rear, and spacers it is really going to look rad.
EDIT: I spoke with John today, and true to his reputation, he took care of me. Apparently the 3-5 days customs normally takes has become 2-3 weeks with the last couple shipments. Anyway, the shipment should be clearing customs today or tomorrow and he said I will have tracking the same day it ships. Maybe I will even have it by next weekend, which would be awsome. If I get it Thursday, I can turn our "Family Night" into ATV night. =)
Thanks again for all the help John. You guys are truely a pleasure to do business with. I wish all my vendors could be as understanding of my time constraints.

As always, fantastic work on the video man. That is the coolest place I've seen to ride yet! I hope Those 150s look like a blast too. Man I wish I had something like that when I was that age. The kids look they are having a ball.
Anyway, with the adjusters on the shocks all the way in (high preload), do you think they are still too soft?
Also, anyone have any input on the stock rims or the upgrade rim quality? The alluminum rims are 1/2 the cost of the nearest competitor, and I'm wondering if they are thin, or if they will hold up to light impacts (sticks and such on trails.)
Thanks!

With the 14 tooth and the jet kit they send you, it will pull the wheels off the ground from a roll with full throttle. That is, after you are already moving 1-2 mph with the clutch already engaged it can pop a wheelie on flat ground. On inclines you have to be carefull or you can flip it over backwards. I was riding a wheelie off the top of a steep 7' hill while leaning on the front handlebars.
I think it's got plenty of power for me. Top speed is already a little scary for me (I'm a wuss.)
I toed the front tires in slightly (they were toed out from the factory) and put a bigger air filter on, but that is about it. I've actually not had any problems with water yet. I almost got stuck in 5-6" deep muddy water yesterday and just pushed a little more throttle for the wheels to break free and it pulled itself right through. I was worried I just soaked my intake because of the water flying around, but it was totally dry. I was only going 10mph or so when I splashed in, and 5-10 going out. I had a problem with the seat not wanting to really hold on tight, and I played with the front clip and the rear bar that the snap goes onto and it is rock solid now. A little hard to put on, but I can't get it off easily, so I'm good. I also put a 3/4" flat washer under the right rear hub bolt as shown here: http://myjetmotos.8k.com/photo2.html Everything is nice and snug now. I'm pretty dern impressed with this quad!
-JNY
Posted by: pimpsmurf
I agree. It sounds like it has a lot more power than it actually does. haha
I dropped the presure to 3.5psi yesterday and my top speed dropped to 41mph. =/
I'm going back up. I think 5 psi front and maybe 6 in the back =D

Looks like the 250 is overall a step up from the 150... is it torque-y enough to pull the front wheels up? I'm not a top speed kinda guy, but like the low end power...
Posted by: jmn444
cool! were you using your body to shift the weight at all for that or is that all motor then? and is that w/ the 15 tooth gear or any other changes?

outofline,Sorry to see your delema.I was wondering what jetmots policies are for jumping their ATV's.I have delt with three different China bike dealers and all three recomended that I don't get to radical on jumping the bikes.I guess for reasons like what resulted with your bike.Goodluck and please keep us posted on your repair.
Bill,Please understand that your negitive comments are not welcome by most. Most of us that own Chines bikes know what we got in to.We traded some quality for cash please understand we know that.I'll bet that if you take an inventory of your household goods you will find more made in china then you will made in the USA.
Given your aviation background did you know that a major componit to the Radar units on our F16 Falcons are made in china?

Bill,If you go to the search box in this forum and type in the word broke you will get several posts that have nothing to do with chinese quads. After reading a lot of them I havn't seen one post from you ridaculing some one for buying a jap quad.
Your in your face degrading comments are ment to degrade and offend people that are doing there best to enjoy ATV's within the confines that their lifestyle will afford.
You have made your point several times please understand you have been heard and as far as I am concerned enough is enough.I don't know what personal gain you get by constantly beating your drum to unwelcome ears.
The chines quad owners that have been posting on this site to me seem like wonderful helpful people that can't wait to trade information or give a helpful hint from an experiance that they might have had' good or bad.
Windtrader wrote a very respectful post in response to your sarcasm giving you a chance to understand and maybe step up to the plate and possibly humble yourself just a bit twards people in here but I feel its more important for your one man crusade to build your ego by degrading good people.

Nice video! You seem to be getting a lot of fun for the dollar out of the Jetmotos. How are they holding up? I have been looking for my wife, something that is automatic and will fit a 5' rider comfortably. So the Jetmoto 150 has caught some interest.

I just got my replacement today and it's the same swing arm as my broken one is with no new improvements!
I guess it's time to get a mod designed and documented as a retro-fit to strengthen the connection. I looked at my 200 and it appears to be the same one, as confirmed by the online catalog.
Has anyone talked to Eugene about what owners could do to keep this from breaking? I'm sure he, like us owners, would rather have the part modded before they break. Gotta be safer, cheaper, and less hassle/downtime.
Maybe Bill can go review his ideas from the prior post and offer some design ideas. Certainly, there are numerous ways to add some supporting metal to increase the strength and a weld-on would be the strongest. Some form of drill - bolt on could be designed to attach between the swing arms struts and the existing welded bracket.
Something as simple as a couple 1/4" steel strips bent to go flat against the inside of each swing arm strut. Holes on each end, one for the shock mount side and the other for a bolt that would go through the swing arm in a drilled hole. Seems like a ten minute job and not requiriing any special tools or welding. Less mess too as it would not mess up the paint like new welds.

Looks good - that'll do the job for sure. :-) Welding plates is easiest if you have the swing arm out of the frame. Do you know what MWQ or others did to resolve his break?
Welding additional plating adjacent to the existing weld point retains a single point to take all the stress from the shock. I wonder if you get practical improvement in strength by welding an added support plate to the side swing arm bars as this would distribute the load across a much broader area. Having no practical welding or metal design experience I have no idea how much, if any, real difference it makes.
Did you get any response from Raceway or Jetmoto about a "Jetmoto-approved"mod?
thx

Hi Outofline, I posted a few pics to you recently showing a new swing arm that seems much stronger than the existing one on the 200-250. It is on the new 150 that I just got a month ago. My assumption is the new swing arm will start flowing throughout their new quads and parts inventory once they start replenishing that parts. It does not seem likely that they would throw away all the old design units and replace them wholesale with the new ones unless there was a very common fatal flaw that created serious safety issues. A recall does not seem necessary but I could be way off base.

the new gussets will carry the part of the load all the way to the swing arm along with the exsisting gusset really beefing up this area.
When you weld the two pieces together the new part is welded along one side to the shock mount. Wouldn't it be stronger to leave a gap so that the new piece could be welded on both sides to the swing arm? Maybe it would be overkill and the basic improvement is more than adequate.

windtrader, the swing arm you are refering to is the 150's arm (I have two of them also) They are not the same swing arm as the 250's and the 200's. They are built quite different and I have not heard anything about them using this swing arm for the bigger quads!
Right. As far as I know the 150,200, and 250 now share the same frame. The 150 and 200 are basically identical except that the 150 frame has a couple tubes cut around to make room for the transmission. All the main dimensions are the same; I measured them. The Jetmoto catalog shows the same swing arm for the 200 and 250 which seems true as the one you show for the 250 is the same as the one on my 200.
200-250 swing arm
Unless I am missing something the swing arm on the newest 150 frame is going to be the one used on the new 200 and 250.
One thing I did notice is in your pictures is the 150 is much lower than the 250. My 150 and 200 are the same physical dimensions. Maybe they made this change on the 150 since mine came from a later batch than yours. A quick call to them would clear this up.
Either way, my 150 swing arm is very stout and I'm only going to mod the 200 swing arm to avoid the problems discussed here.
thx

Based on the fade pattern in the picture, it is almost certainly UV damage. I'm going to grab my bottle 303 and start treating the plastic to stop this from happening -- hopefully.
Not real cheap but seems to work.

I was hesitant about reporting this discoloration but this is information along with solutions are what a lot of people might like to know!
I found it as West Marine. online These stores are popping up all over the past couple years. If one is not convenient, call around your local marine outfitter or just order online.
Just sprayed my plastic. If you don't hear me moan in a few months, maybe it works on this stuff. :-)
Armorall might work but 303 is made specifically to protect from UV.
And THANKS for reporting this as it might be very helpful to others such as myself if a little PM mitigates UV damage.

I've sort stayed out of the Bill-China comments and scan them amusingly, rather than get my dander up. Here is how I look at it quite simply.
Golden rule - You get what you pay for. Chinese quads are a magnitude less costly than the authentic model being cloned. No one can dispute this fact. There is also less quality in the Chinese quad. That is also a fact I doubt anyone disputes.
Calling the Chinese product is certainly Bill's prerogative, as it is a subjective statement and his own view which he certainly has right to have and voice.
What bothers me is the comments are taken as a negative connotation, rather than stating something rather obvious: Chinese quads are lesser quality than their Japanese counterpart.
Clearly, all of use would love to just go out and buy brand new Japanese quads, maybe even nice clean used ones. Maybe some of us simply just do not have the money, time, knowledge, or skills to assess condition of used bikes and maintain them. I simply did not have the money to buy two used bikes and all the other things such as a trailer, boots, helmets, gloves, goggles, ATV safety training, insurance, etc.... and here in California I had to buy two as my son can not ride unsupervised. It came down to two Chinese quads or no quads at all. Pretty simple and obvious decision for me.
Bill - you have a right to your opinion but I hope you understand that everyone's personal situation is different and making the decision to buy a Chinese quad is made in context to many other factor's in that person's overall situation and decisions.
I respectfully request you refrain from making comments that are derogatory toward Chinese products, simply stating they are not the same quality or offering constructive tips on how to repair, fix, improve, or maintain then is just fine; just hold back on the "junk calling", please. It servers no constructive purpose in this forum and creates ill will to some, and I have to believe you intentionally do not want to make people feel bad.
Thx

Hi Bill,
I'm sorry you continue to choose to think you are somehow better than others here because you have an Arctic Cat and many here are riding "crap" Chinese.
What makes America wonderful is the diversity of people who are accepted and allowed to live here: nice people, tall people, skinny people, fat people, and even AH like you. You think you are high and mighty on your AC but a quick google on "Arctic Cat" ATV problems returns hundreds of people unhappy, some clearly VERY unhappy.
Here's a quick sample. I got tired very quickly cutting and pasting. This was from the first page of hits.
You've overstayed your welcome here and shown you care not to be helpful, so why don't you go to some other forum, one where everyone slings feces at each other and boasts about how much they can scrape off themselves and sling back at the next bloke.
"the older cats were very unreliable but I believe they have made some great changes and seem to be getting better and better"
"Bought my Cat h1 last may and its been in the shop more then i've ridden it!!Have starting problems problem is it won't start lol anyone else with starting problems?"
"I have had a litle trouble with one of the carbs leaking fuel. "
"I bought my 04 650 used from a co worker and I would like to kill him. I have road it twice and its been in the shop 4 times. When it runs its great. If it runs as of now it is a 6000$ paper weight."
"....but as soon as the cold weather comes it never starts."
"I have a 06 arctic cat and have had so many problems I just cant beleave im the only one. front diffy troubles and the 2x4 electric shiter motors are a joke and dont last any longer then a few hundred miles each. im on my 3rd on. I really like it when there is nothing wrong with it but thats usually only the first 10or15 miles after getting everything fixed. STAY AWAY FROM ACTIC CATS. The company dosent care after they get your money.!!"
"pure 100% usda junk"
"My 650 is overall OK, but it I have a hell of a time starting it. In cold weather it will not start at all! I t will crank but does not fire. I had the unit in for repair as the chock was stuck in open."
"I have had many brands from Kawasaki to yamaha and Suizuki. All were trouble free. I have 45 miles on my Artic Cat 650 HI. It is junk!!! Won't shift from 2-4 and back and now wiring harness is burnt up.Dealer says they have to deal with AC in the problems and AC won't return my calls.Don't buy an Artic Cat ATV!"
"I had a 250 Arctic Cat, I had a lot of problems with the brakes on it. We managed to fix them enough to sell and buy another atv. I bought a Arctic Cat 375 Automatic 4x4 (green) 2002. I had trouble with the brakes again when I first drove it, and I then had a new Master Cylinder put on.
That fixed the problem for a little while, but just this past weekend I went to drive my 4-wheeler and I had no brakes...."
I guess the Chinese "junk" ATVs actually get enough road miles to actually encounter problems such as bad bearings and shock mounts. Pretty hard to do that with your Arctic Cat if it's in the shop broken down or won't start.
btw - Just so you know I have overspent my allowance of wasting time and energy on folks like you. Poof - you're in the ether. It was nice knowing you. Bye
EDIT - Oh one last thing - sorry for the late post. My son and I just got back from a very nice day riding at the county park and gosh -- nothing broke. But I did have to tighten two bolts. That should be a small consolation for you.
