Deveola,

I have the 150 aLSO. It will top out at about 40mph gps. Sounds like you have too much slack in the cable. The power is ok for smaller riders but pretty doggy with bigger ones. Make sure you locktite everything. I would also recommend getting a K&N clamp on filter. The stock ones are crap. It runs real good and rides pretty well also. I would also recommend puting the rear shock adjuster on its stiffest setting because the shock will bottom out with small jumps. Grease every fitting expecially the ball joints. I have had this one for about 6 months now and no real troubles. It is ridden every weekend. The turning radius does suck and you can cut or grind the stops to make it better. Just dont cut them all the way off. Good luck and have fun.

Yes I get 40mph on the gps. But I also have true 20" tires. Not the stock 19". That helped alot with the suspension and top end.

With me on it will only do about 35 but with my 10yo 98lb nephew it gets 40. It did not hurt acceleration much with him on it but with me it did. I like the tire size and it is a softer compound so it makes the ride very smooth and it sits it up more like a sport quad should.

daveola,

You can go direct to the k&N site and order direct. Just measure the outer part of the carb flange and measure how long you need the filter to be. There is not a whole lot of room for a big filter. GO to the universal fit section and look for what size you want. This will help the longevity of the motor WAAYYY better than the stock filter.

The 150 is pretty boring when it comes to power. About the only thing I can think of is to look for to much free play in the throttle. It can limit the ability to get to full throttle. as for the turning radius...some of the 150's came with a extra bar welded to the steering stops. It can be cut/grinded off. Its loated at the bottom of the steering shaft.

The throtle play can be taken out with that inline cable adjuster.

The steering stop needs a grinding wheel.

Have you really gotten a honest 40 mph out of your 150? BR>
Mine tops out at about 30. BR>

Those 20" tires probubly did help the top end out. Did they hurt the acceleration any?

Im not sure about the K&N, but if you use a UNI pod filter, it will run just fine with no other mods.

Thanks for the answer 2manytoys.

We got the 2006 Jetmoto 150 assembled today and got it running (thanks to other forum members!!). The engine sounds like it is running perfectly at idle and has no audible problems when at higher throttle positions. The problem I have is the power. This thing has less power at full throttle than our Mini 90 with the throttle limiter fully restricted. It runs about 25mph wide open and sounds like it is "bogged down" somewhere. It has plenty of torque for climbing out of ditches but thats where the power ends. The rider is 13 and 108 lbs. Is this jsut the way it is supposed to be? Or could we have overlooked something? Also, the turning radius is horrible on these things. We are going to see what we can do about that too.

Thanks again. Will check both when the sun comes up. The throttle play is a distinct possibility since the reverse mechanism was way too loose from the factory and the fuel lines were put on backwards. This thing takes an acre to turn around in.

More good advice. The throttle cable has about an inch of play in it and I can see the little rod that stops the wheels from turning any sharper. I will take care of both of them tomorrow and see waht happens. Also gonna try to locate a good air filter. Thanks again!!
