I drained 3-4 ozs of gear oil out of mine and put 8oz of 90wt back in.

The drain plug is on the bottom. I filled mine back through the level port on the rear left side of the case. You will need to remove the level bolt, also when the oil starts to flow out of the level port you know it's full.

Download this manual look on page 8. The manual is for a Buggy but it has detailed information on your engine.

Good Luck.

I drained the rear of my 150 demo unit and found maybe 1 -2 oz of gear oil. I put 4 oz of 90wt in my rear diff and ran the quad for a few minutes to clean it out. Drained the gear oil and noticed that it was totally airated. I think even 4 oz may have been too much.

After adding 8oz did you find any airation problems???

Thanks

Joe

We just started assembling the new Jetmoto 150 today. The manual does not show this particular drivetrain model so I am a little lost on how to change the oil in the tranny. I have read in previous posts that there is a filler hole in the top of the unit and to use 80-90 oil, but I cannot find the filler bolt. I believe that the drain is on the bottom near the rear. I posted pics of the ATV in my photo section. Any help with this task would be greatly appreciated. My 13 year old is driving me nuts to get this thing running today but Im not about to start it until all the necessary fluids have been changed. The rear gear box was almost empty when it arrived and the engine oil was not even touching the dipstick so I dont want to risk the tranny. Also, how much oil should the reverse gear box take?

I would like to thank everyone who posted advice for me. That manual that you attached a link to saved the day smb05!! I would have never figured that one out on my own. We got the fluids changed, added some gas, and it fired up in four hits of the throttle. The engine runs very smooth but Im going to post another question about the power. Thanks for everything guys. Thanks to you all my kids were riding till well after dark today. I will be becoming a supporting member very soon due to all the help this forum have given. 2manytoys: Please look at my next thread and see if you have any advice since you already own the 150. Thanks.
