m104,

The Jetmoto is a nice size for a teenager. It is bigger , taller and wider than the 110. It has plenty of power and the suspension is good. How old and how big of a kid will be on it? Like SMB said I am 6'1 and 225lbs and it pulls me around pretty good and it really moves with someone smaller.

Hi M104, I dont have a KMZ 150 but have all 3 of the current Jetmoto quads. A 125/150 and 200. They are all about the same size give or take a inch. I am cramped at 6'4" on any of them and if I try to stand feel extremely cramped. I would say they are good for beginners to novices under 5'10" or so.

M104, have you considered the 200? With its manual clutch and 4 gears it really moves out nicely. It could use another gear, but the suspension might be in trouble at those speeds anyway. The 200 does have a foot brake but the 125/150 dont.

Well we dont want to go over budget. BR>
Between the 125 and 150 Jetmoto I prefer the 125 because it has gears. The suspension is a little better on the 150 but for what you are planning on doing it should be more than enough. I am working on a new pipe/carb/filter combo for the Jetmoto 125 quad that should liven things up a little. And it should be available in a couple of months. I would think it would work on the other chinese 125's but I am not positive.

I wouldnt let the CVT keep you from buying the 150. It works well for what it is. My 150 Yamoto has been torture tested by my 2 sons ages 18-20 and the engine/CVT isnt any worse for wear. The CVT does make things extremely user friendly, nothing to keep track of but throttle position.

*edit* My sons did manage to bend the output shaft on the Yamoto 150. After replacing it with a shaft from a Jetmoto it hasnt happened again. If anything the quad is seeing more abuse now than when it bent.

the KMZ-150 and the JM-150 both use the same engine. GY6 honda clone, lots of stock and after market parts available for this engine,

the 2 quads are made for differant purposes, one's a sport, the other a utility, it all depends what you're looking to do with it, general riding, blasting down fire rodes, hill climbing donuts jetmoto would be the choice. hauling, towing general riding, then the dingo , the jetmoto should out handle the dingo, the dingo's also 2" taller. for what i do the dingo the best choice for me but may or maybe not for you

M104,

If this is the video your talking about Boreem 150 Video, that is my son riding the quad. He is 14 years old and is 5'10". The quad in the video was a Boreem 150 similar to the Jetmoto 150. The torture test was only done to see how the quad held up. The quad is for my 11 year old daughter who happens to be a timid rider. For her this quad is great, however, for my son, everytime he gets on it, I have a new project to work on for the next week, fixing, repairing or modifying the damages. The only thing different is that the Jetmoto 150's have disc brakes front and rear(good feature) and the rear shock is mounted differently. The Jetmoto's also come with upgraded shocks. I am pretty sure the 150 is bigger than the Falcon 110. As far as the Jetmoto's go they are almost all the same size from one model to the next. The 110,125,150, and 200's all vary between 1/2" to an 1" for each model.

Here is 2manytoys on his Jetmoto 150 he is 6'1". 2manytoys's PHOTOS Look at pic 10

How big is the person that will ride the new quad?

What type of riding will you be doing? Trail or Sand?

Are you or the person that will be riding the quad an aggressive rider?

What features are you looking for in your new quad?

SB.

I've had a 125 for about 6 months now and not one problem with it. My 9 year old loves it. I ttok it out to our hunting lease today and followed a Honda 450 4x4 around the fire breaks without a problem. Definately not made for that kind of workout, but it held up just fine. My experience with it has benn good, but as always results may vary.

I'm trying to decide between the KMZ-150 and the Jetmoto 125. I really like the KMZ, but I'm afraid I won't be happy with the transmission. However the Jetmoto looks too small. Someone put up a torchure test vid with there 14 yr old riding (Jetmoto). That thing really looked tiny. Its hard to tell but it looked smaller than my daughters Falcon 110. Was that kid just really big for 14 or is the Jetmoto kinda small?

Thanks

Now thats what I needed to see. The new quad is for me :-) I'm only 5'-7" and 150 lbs soaking wet. Just to put it into perspective, I'm almost satisfied with my daughters Falcon Delux 110. I need just a little more bike than that. After seeing 2manytoys on his, I feel confident that the JM would be plenty big for me. Riding will be limited to trail riding and donuts in the pasture :-) No jumping or anything like that.

Man I've suddenly got a really tough choice. KMZ, Jetmoto 125 or Jetmoto 150. I can't decide! Aaarggghh!

Does the Jetmoto have a footbreak?

Good suggestion, but I set a budget when I first decided to get ATVs for my Daughter and I'm determined (and more importantly, my wife is determined) that I stay within that budget - lol. To her credit, she's been very good natured about it. I think she likes that the whole family enjoys riding the little 110.

Each quad seems to lack one or two features that I want. I wish I could combine them. The Jetmotos lack utility racks, the JM-150 has the best suspension (good for bumpy pastures) but lacks the manual transmition. From the sound of it, the KMZ may require immediate modifications to get more power. I may have to flip a coin!

If I get the 125 I'll keep an eye out for your mods.

OK I'll take your word for it on the cvt. (I've got to narrow it down) So now I'm down to the KMZ-150 or the JM-150.

I'm gettin there :-)

Bill, If you could swap a Dingo for a new Jetmoto-150, wouldja?

Posted by: M104

I guess I'm just a little worried from a post I read where the guy said something like "Just try to have fun on one of these things". I do want to be able to do light duty hauling, and I like the utility style for the farm, but I wanna have fun too. For some reason that little comment really stuck in my head

Bill, aincha gonna say "Awe heck don't worry about it, the Dingos plenty of fun" ?
