littlebit,
The only way you can get reverse on a mini is if you go with one that is semi automatic. The Sunl mini delux 100 is a perfect size for a 5yo up to about 7-8. It has tons of power and will get you just about anywhere. It is a tough little machine. I have one and have been beating on it pretty good and it is holding up very well. No problems as of yet. We have had it for a few months now and is ridden every weekend. The only downfall about them is no reverse and the suspension is stiff but does loosen up after a while. Other than that it is a good machine and you cant beat it for $750. The Meerkat will be too small for a 5yo unless they are small. The xl70 and 90 are bigger than the meerkat but still smaller than the Mini delux. I have a xl90 on the way to compair to the mini 100.

We did stop supplying most of the Sunl units. But we do happen to like the 100. We will keep this unit!

I was looking at these also and ended up ordering the Raceway Mini 100. The woman on the phone said that they are made by Jetmoto and said they were probably more reliable than the Sunl Mini Deluxe 100. Hopefully parts will be easier to get too with the new partnership. I'm expecting it on Fri. I'll post a review once it's been tested.

Ok, Raceway. It seem's to me that these 100's are better then my grandson's sunl 90. However I noticed in the video that it to had problem's in the sand and water. In both cases she had to stop after getting through them. Was that intensional? Or just A minor upgrade? My grandson's sunL 90 doe's not do well in sand. We don't have aera's here to try it in water. You have been honest with me in the past. Are they really that much better?

Wheres the video of this quad??? Can't find it

just my opinion, first you can't go wrong buying an atv from raceway, they do in deed stand behind their products, now thats being said. the utility atv is a sunl, the atv is not a bad quad but the importer, sunl group sucks, i won't buy this quad no matter what from anyone just because its a sunl, sunl group doesn't support the products they sell, it true raceway will support it the best they can, also i don't think a kid should or would want racks on their atv, what age kid?

reverse? not in this size, for a 5 year old look at raceway's mini 70 or mini 90, good quads for the price. even the 90cc meerkat would work for a 5 year old but expect her to out grow it in about 2 years, the 70 and 90 are a little larger quad and should last her until she's 8-9 year old depending how she grows.

the sunl mini 100 will be to big for a 5 year old, it's a little big for our 7 year old grandson, he handle the sunl 90 much better and rode it a lot harder then he does the 100, stay away from sunl products, no support from the sunl group, you'll be better off with the jetmoto or kazuma, i wouldn't be surprized thats one reason why raceway dumped the sunl products,

the mini 100 both the deluxe and the utility are both sunl's, don't waste your money on the meerkat 90, the engine's ok but the frame is to small, the mini 90 would be my choice, it's a little bigger than the meerkat 90 but a little smaller than the mini 100.

Hi, I am interested in buying this off the Raceway site, But would like to hear from anyone that has this? Are they great??
Easy to get parts if needed??
I am not familar with these brands at all, but like this style over the race style ones.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

Well, My middle child is 5. Its for her, and then her younger brother, when He gets a bit bigger.
I just figured out there is no reverse on this either. I do want a reverse.
Any suggestions?

OK, What about the ATV 100 Mini Deluxe, Raceway XL 70 Mini Atv or the Meerkat 90 atv?
Which of these are rated the best?
Posted by: littlebit
OK! Thanks! That would be great to hear.

How do you know which ones are sunl? Problem is I really like the looks of a Utility better,
and yes, My kids would love to bring their little cooler along on it.
Any other good mini utility ones out there??
Posted by: littlebit
Also which is better?? The Mini 90cc or the Meerkat 90??

The mini 100 utility is a great little bike the remote on it is a saftey device it will work about 50 to 75 ft away from the bike and it will start and kill the motor. You can not go wrong buying the bike from John at Raceway he will help you with whatever you need. he carries a full line of parts for every bike that he carries and alot of bikes that he does not carry. The new mini 100's with the bigger tires is the best way to go.

I know this thread is several months old but thought I would revive it. I too have been looking for a small utility quad for my daughters for Christmas. We live on about 40 acres so the utility quad really does make the best sense for us.
In the postings here I have read that people are skeptical of the mini 100 utility quad because of who it was made by. I see that Raceway posted saying that this quad seemed better made or maybe they have not had has many problems with it. I would like Raceway to verify this if possible.
Are there any other readers of this post that have this quad or have had experience with it?
I agree, I dont know that reverse is that important for the age of the riders that will be using it.
I am a bit curious what the remote does and what the range is on it?
Thanks in advance guys,
john
