I have clocked my Yamoto 150 and it goes 32 mph.

Also, is your yamoto all stock? Thanks.
It wont affect top speed but will help with acceleration some. My Yamoto 150 has a Answer muffler/spark arrestor, wheel spacers and a uni air filter. And i put a different shock on the rear of it too.

No, you will just get there quicker. But you will be able to pull the gearing necessary for more top speed. I modified a Answer S/A Pro from my CR500. I have heard that FMF makes a universal Spark Arrestor that will fit with a little modification.

I wanted a Spark Arrestor and had it laying around. I made a mount for it and also made a plug to reduce the outlet hole size from approx 1.2" to about .62 " (1 1/4" to about 5/8") It ran a little better out of the hole(off the line) and sounds better too. I would think if you could get it to fit it would be fine.

bill2099 is exactly correct here.
I am the guy he is talking about replacing the rear sprocket. The Dingo 150 is long gone (replaced by a Honda Rancher), but if I remember correctly, the smaller rear sprocket ($25.00) got me to 38 MPH with the motor screaming. I think it would do 33 MPH (or somthing like that) before the sprocket swap. 38 was all that I was comfortable with on that machine. It was not very stable over 35 mph.
These speeds were obtained using a hand held GPS. Not a seat of the pants "Guess" or pacing another quad or car with a speedo.
All these 150 engines with a CVT transmission are the same to my knowledge, so I have some reservations about claims of more than 33 mph from this combo. The Dingo has bigger tires than the others so that would yield even greater speeds than the "sport" ATV's.

Top speed is only signifiacantly effected by a gearing change. Doing engine mods can get you to top speed quicker but the final speed will be about the same do to the fact that speed is based on engine max. RPMS and gear ratios. If neither of those are alterered, then top speed will not change.
Think of it this way, If you have a boat with a 150 HP outboad motor on it, and the boat will go 70 MPH, adding another identical 150 HP outboard motor will not make the boat faster, however it will get up to top speed faster.
The gearing and RPMS's have not changed with the addition of the extra motor.

Exactly.
atvmike,
I'm going to refer you back to my previous post. Read it once more. I think it will become a little more clear how you achieve a higher top speed vs. acceleration.
Posted by: Prezzz
Yep.....that would do it. More Rpm's more get you more top end speed. But, there's always a trade off. If you run your engine outide the design limits of the factory, I can almost promise you the engine will not survive for long.
Can calculate speed at any RPM if you have a known speed at a certain rpm. It's a linear equation.

Like he says, Kazuma is very helpful. I called them and had my new sprocket 2 days later and only $25.00.

Would appreciate your advice.
Got rid of it mainly because I didn't like to CVT transmission. Nothing wrong with it, just personally didn't like it. I prefer being able to select the gear I want to use and not have the machine do it for me.

per gps reading kazuma 150's run somewhere beteen 31-33 mph. i can't remember off hand but think my 150 dingo was 32.4 mph. someone else change their gearing and had a top speed of 37mph. go back about 6-8 months to read more about it
Posted by: billl2099
no not weird, they lie to sell more atv's. the automatic really doesn't have much to do with it, and if you think thats bad look at e-bay for buggys, some claim 60 mph for a 250 buggy, no way.
Posted by: billl2099
the people selling the buggys are the same people selling quads so the speed claim shouldn't surprize you
Posted by: billl2099
my 150 a dingo, might be lower geared being a utility quad. unless you use a gps you'll guessing on actual speed
Posted by: billl2099
no won't work, why haven't you called kazumausa for a new front 20 tooth front spocket?
Posted by: billl2099
unlike the sunl group, kazumausa are very helpful people, you can e-mail them or pick up the phone and call them, there be more than happy to help you, they will answer your e-mail or phone calls

My stock falcon 150 does just above 40mph, and it keeps up with the fourtraxx ( not sportraxx ?) 250. I expected less from a chinese bike, but happily surprised. Looking forward to something going wrong with it, but so far, all good.

The guy next door is a X Fl State Trooper he clocked my Redcat VX 150 on a 1 mile run at 32 mph he was in a new Dodge Pick Up
Posted by: atvmike92
does anyone know what the top speed of a 150 is?thanks for any replies
Posted by: atvmike92
Thats weird. When you ride them they seem to go about 40-45. Being automatic probably slowed it down a bit.
Posted by: atvmike92
The people selling those buggies are full of crap!!!The 250 buggies I actually found out about. Their top speed is only about 35-40 mph. More like 60kmh!
Posted by: atvmike92
Thanks for all of the replies!I guess it depends on what brand atv you have, but they all go
around 35-40 mph. Also, your falcon 150 shouldn't really have any problems. All you
pretty much have to do is tighten the bolts and check the chain. Because my chain
comes loose quite a bit. You normally should check it evry time you ride, but maybe
thats just my quad thats having that problem. Also, make sure the battery is
charged good because after a while my kickstarter started to suck!!! And clean the air
filter after about every 5-10 rides if you get a clamp on filter.
Posted by: atvmike92
My 150 probably does 40 because a couple of times I kept up with a honda cr250 until it was
somewhere in 3rd gear. But it took forever to catch up to it because of the 40 hp
difference.

Thanks for the replies. Mwq, how did you modify the answer pipe? I didnt know you could
put a two-stroke pipe on a four stroke. Would a blaster silencer work on my 150? Thanks.
And I would like to ask you something too, prezzz. Would a high performance cdi box give
me a faster top speed because it lets you rev higher? Thanks for any replies.
Posted by: atvmike92
Is there anything that measures rpm's?
Posted by: atvmike92
mwq, could you tell me how to make a mount? and about the plug, I dont know anything
about where the plug goes. Is it like a motorcycle wash plug? Thanks.

i found a rear sprocket for a lt-80 that is 22 teeth. My 150s stock front is 19 teeth. Would
the suzuki rear sprocket work on a front sprocket?
Posted by: atvmike92
I looked at that site and couldnt find a front sprocket for the 150.
Posted by: atvmike92
This place called alt-trans makes 23 tooth rear sprockets. My stock is a 28. I think Id rather go
w/ that. Or I would like to get this camshaft. Does anyone know how to install a camshaft?
I asked this question about a week ago and got no replies. Thanks.

Sorry to keep going off topic but how much more power do the roller weights give you
exactly? Thanks.
