Just pickled me up a 2006 Triton ATV88 2 place and can't wait to use it. I was looking at a Tule but the Triton has more options available. You can add the stake pockets and add walls to it. This thing is going to be around for years...

I did not get the 10" tires, I did get the front weel on the tongue included in the price. I want to get the spare tire and carier. Have to save some $$. I did not think I needed the 10" tires. I do however want to get the stake pockets so I can build some walls and use it for other things too. I did notice the ramp does rattle on rough roads. I used it yesturday and I loaded my ATV up from the rear and noticed my straps were getting loose as I went over bumps. I will have to get the ratchet ones and really secure the quad down. I don't want that investment falling off the dam trailer

Lots of straps. lol. I just tie down wherever.

I own the Triton atv168 and tow four atv's with ease. It is a great trailer to tow and very easy to load and unload.

I have developed my own system for hook up that takes us a matter of minutes to load/unload. With my wifes help we can have all four loaded or unloaded in ten minutes max. I use a short piece of 1 1/2" tie down strap with hooks that I have custom made to length to hook to the rear of the frame. I use a turnbuckle on the front connected to the frame and hand tighten that end.

With the side load trailer you don't have a lot of atv movement. The strap on one end gives the atv some give, but your suspension is the main give and take in the system. I just be careful to snug it up by hand with a small amount of compression on the suspension, but not over tighten. Very slick and quick.

If you would like I can take some pictures and post them. It has been on my to do list to add some photo's to my profile, but I haven't done it yet. If you are interested, it can be my motivation to make the time.

Okay, I may get a chance to do some work in the garage tonight. If that doesn't work out I'll make some time within the next few days to take some pictures.

I spent a little time setting up the system to each machine, but now when it is time to play... The machines are off or on in minutes.

Took the trailer pictures and downloaded them to my gallery. Sorry for the delay.

Just click on the camera to the left underneath my Author Icon. Each picture has an explanation.

This works well for me. It is very quick and secure. To the frame with the suspension as my give, never had an ATV move. With the side load all we have to do is hand tighten with a small amount of compression on the suspension. We leave the Trail Boss's in gear and the Sportsman's in park with the hand brakes locked on each. When I back them into the garage, I unlock the brakes and back the turnbuckles off a bit just to relax the compressed suspension.

I used the MSR 1 1/2" straps to make my custom straps. I like those they are a 1/2" wider than your average tie down strap. You can also find bulk strap and hooks online to make your own custom straps cheaper if you like. I already had my MSR's so I used those.

It was difficult to find strong turnbuckles at the local hardware stores and home improvement stores in my area. They were all very cheap with a low weight load. There are specialty stores that have them, but very expensive. I found mine on ebay for a very good price.

I would not trade my Triton for another. So quick and easy to load/unload and it tows effortlessly with the dual axles and light weight. I work hard all week so when it's time to play I like things to flow without much time or effort wasted.

Just type turnbuckle in on the ebay search. Pay attention to the load/weight limit, the dimensions, and hook style. Each ATV will require a different length turnbuckle depending where you can hook it up and how. Take your measurements and have a plan before you search, you should be able to find what you need in a new turnbuckle for a very good price.

The turnbuckles that I bought for the Trail Boss came out of Canada so I did have to convert the metric measurements to make sure it was what I needed. The stainless turnbuckles I use on the Sportsmans came out of Pennsylvania or somewhere Eastern near you I believe. They were very reasonable for stainless. Sometimes you want to look at the bottom of the page of the search result. They list regular ebay businesses that have new them offered regularly on the site. Since they sell a large quantity they offer the best buy.

Good luck and let me know if you have any more questions.

Just looked at my ebay history. I bought the turnbuckles from ebay members anvil_c4 and etradingvan I believe. There are others, but the product that they carried worked for me.

The hooks that I connect the turnbuckle to on the front of the Sportsman came from ebay member zelikovitzleathers. They have an ebay store and carry them in different sizes. Their shipping was a little slower (2 weeks?) than I am used to on ebay, but maybe that was just a one time situation.

avallarider, I have the same trailer. I bought extra brackets and mounted four on each side. When I load two quads on I attach two straps to brackets and run the straps under quad and attach straps to front frame of quad and lightly ratchet. Now do just the opposite from the trailer brackets to rear of quad frame, and tighten all straps equally. I dont attach straps to load down suspension because straps always come loose. Now you have equal tension pulling in both directions.

I just purchased 2007 atv88 triton trailer yesterday.I got another set of 2 extra tie downs also. What is the best way to rachet strap your atvs on this syle trailer? I have 3 tie down brackets on each side. This trailer with no upgrades except the 10 inch tires was $1270( title and tax and registration fee was for me was 104.70. Upgrades i recomend for this trailer is the spare tire carrier and the jack with the wheel. This trailer feels like it is heaver that it is. With the 10 inch tires, it has great ground clearence. I have a 2004 Ford Range( stock) an this trailer requires a 2" drop hitch for me if this helps!. So Far I only trailered it empty. It trailered great. It sucks to back up because you can"t see it. It does hold 2 Full size Atvs with ease.I was just woundering how everyone is holding their Quads on this trailer. I would appreciete your input.

I have this exact trailer only its 06 I carry 2 full size Polaris Sportsmans on it with no problem using ratchet straps. With them side loaded I use 1 ratchet on the front of the machine going from the movable tie down through the "towing bar" and back to the tie down point "hole" on the front/back part of the trailer The hole that is drilled on the "lip" on the side of trailer. On the back of the machine I use 2 ratchet straps. 1 off of each off the hitch receiver on the atv down to the tie off points. I do this for each machine. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to hook up the trailer load it and tie down the machines. Its a very easy trailer to load and unload. As for backing it up it takes some getting use to. I pull my with a Dodge ram and the trailer is as wide as the truck and is below the height of the bumper. Its also hard to see because its a short trailer to. But you'll get to use to it. I hope this will help you.
