'69 Gruman Step Van on a 3/4 ton Chev chassis. Over a million documented miles as a service vehicle. Course it's had 6 engines, 3 trannies, several U-joints, brake drums, shoes, shocks, belts, hoses and the list goes on. Only thing on the chassis that has never been repaired or replaced is the rear end. Original just keeps soldiering on. Gruman is the only brand of van body we have had that will make it past around 500,000 miles.
10 MPG loaded or empty with everything from a 307 to a 400 engine. All small blocks.

I have a 1977 Ford F-250 4x4 High boy with over 186,000 miles and still has the original clutch! My dad bought it new and when he got a new truck he gave it to me. Body is rusted pretty bad but everything still works on it. Its got a big roll bar with lights on it and Case smoke stacks on it. Still has some of the original U-joints on it. Built Ford Tough!

I have an 06 Ram 3500 with 15k miles and still going strong! Seriously though, the highest mileage truck I've had was an 94 Chev 2500 that went to 165k with no problems other than a new rearend at 75k.

05 Dodge with a whopping 8,200 miles. I've never bought a used vehicle and I've never kept one past 65,000 miles. I get bored with them and sell or trade them off for something new. I like new stuff...

2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, 57,000 miles. None being put on it lately as it is getting a new rearend in the shop right now. Seal went out of it and leaked out all of my oil. By the time I noticed it was already smoking
I probably will be buying a full size very soon and trading it off.

Hey guys, jw if my truck is going to kill over soon. It's a 1997 7.3 powerstroke and it has 299,750 miles on it!! Original motor, trans....etc. We have only replaced the heater core on it. Is this uncommon? I guess I can't complain, but sure seems like lots of miles to me. Should I worry about putting an exhaust on it or chipping it because of high miles? What do you guys think? How many miles does your truck have?
Posted by: ctateusa1
I have about 100k on my 02 Tundra, If you got 300k on your powerstroke I wouldnt worry about putting an exhaust or chipping it , If you were going to break something I would think it would already have happened.

My 93 Chevy 1/2 ton has 325,000 with original untouched drivetrain. Still abused daily for construction biz.

95 F-350 with 460 175k and still playing in the mud.
That Powerstroke should do 500k easily. I have 2 different buddies that have worked theirs like dogs around farm and hauling horse trailers and both are over 500k.
