Never had any problems with mine and it was "fresh". Ordered it on a Monday and picked it up from the Hurst factory on Friday.

I am familiar with paint runs though - you might as well scrape them off and touch-up paint - It could take years to dry the thick paint sealed under the run area. Or, take it back to your dealer and let them repaint it.

I just bought a 6'6" x 16' tandem axle Hurst trailer for hauling my mowers around on and the paint on it is full of runs and still tacky. It was manufactured in 9/05 and I still get paint on my hand if I touch a run and my nylon tie straps are peeling the paint off. Has anybody else purchased a trailer manufactured by Hurst, and if so, have you had any problems with the paint?

If I scrape the paint off that has problems then half of it would be gone. I emailed Hurst almost 2 weeks ago and never got a reply back. I guess I'll have to go the dealer, but I have a feeling that they will say it is not there problem or paint isn't covered under warrenty or something like that.
