I am not a fan of the "extenders" that you are describing. They requrire the use of longer studs and add a lot of strain to these studs. If you want to widen the stance on the rear axle I would suggest you consider deeper dish wheels. Much stronger and, IMO, safer.

These extenders work OK to space duels apart if the tires are rubbing one against the other but even in this case a deeper wheel is a better option.

I bought a 3/4 ton chevy crewcab the other day,and the chevys front tires stick out about 2 to 3 inches and what i want to do is maybey use wheel extenders to widen out the back tires to match the front. The extensions are pretty much like the billet ones for used for quads, only stronger bolts i hope. The ones I am gonna need are 8 lug and I was wondering if anybody has used these billet extenders on a rig or if they know anybody who has tried them.I am kinda afraid to try them on a truck. There are a few diffrent makers of them they are all over ebay. Some info about them would make me feel a lot better.

I have a set from Correct Track on my 1999 3/4 ton suburban. They are steel and I believe they are 1.5 or 1.75 thick each. I would check your stock lug legnth to make sure you dont have to cut off the ends of every stud. They do not long use longer studs. You simply bolt the spacer to the axle and the spacer has studs for the wheel. I think you get what you pay for as far as quality. Mine are steel and were around $250 but if you trust aluminum you can get them for less.
