I have a 7 x 14 and it's big. Easily hauls 3 full size quads sideways and 2 feet left in rear for the gas grill.
the extra width is nice too. You mentioned 8 ft width, THAT is wide!
your golf cart may force you to go 16ft. All I know is 14ft, tandem axle, is very big.

I would just get a standard, flat-deck car hauler... Most are 8x16 with a two-foot dovetail at the rear for 18 feet of floor. I had a custom 6.5x12 built for our 250R's and it cost more than the standard 16 footers most places sell. If nothing else, get a 18 foot utility trailer, you should be able to get six regular ATV's on one...

That's what mine is, without the side load (which is a real pain anyway on unlevel ground anyway). 6.5x12 holds two perfectly end to end, or three sideways. With the pipe top, 3500 lb. axle, and 15" powdercoated wheels/chrome centers, I paid $650+tax in OKC.

Always buy as big as your truck will pull ,you can always use the extra space .

I was getting ready to comment about the price of the trailer in the pic when I saw your post. The cost of living must be about 200% higher there than it is here. I can buy that same trailer $500-$600 cheaper all day long.

For my money it would be a 16' flatbed. Twice the trailer and only about $700.

Kenny,

You are REAL close to me.

Give Ranalli Farms a call in Tontitown. Trust me, you won't regret it. I used to shop trailer prices around. I would check every dealer in the four state area. I quickly learned I was waisting my time. Ranalli was always the cheapest without even asking. These guys are tops in my book.

Make the call just to find out.

But when I was over there a couple of weeks ago they didn't have the trailer I wanted, and didn't get to talk to anyone. I figured I would give them a call or stop by again before I picked the one up at branson. I've got to go up there in a couple weeks anyway, so it would be out of the way to get that one. Ranallis does have tandem axle 16' utility trailers w/ sides for $800.00, you can't beat that.

Well by gosh! If they don't have it it's going to be hard to buy it from them now isn't it?

I'm trying to determine what size trailer to buy - I've got a lifted golf cart (may turn into a Rhino) and want to hual 2 full size quads. I've been thinking about 8 x 14 or 16? Anyone with the same size toys have any input or ideas?

Any input would be appreciated - Thanks!

No I've got a toy hauler, so I'm looking for a open trailer that I can use for local trips

Posted by: Bjamin18

Yeah - I know it's wide, but my golf cart is 113 in. long and 53 in wide. Looking a t a full size quad dimensions there are abouit 48 in wide. If I put 2 in sideways, that brings my total length to like almost 211 in (17.58 ft.) Even if I put 1 sideways, I couldn't even fit a small quad in lenghtwise (straight just like the golf cart). That's why I was just seeing what other use.

What's the website?

Auztone -

Frankly, I don't blame your wife, I would like a Rhino too. I've researched the Rhino and the dimensions are the same as my golf cart, so I'm thinking ahead for the new toy (you know what I mean). They are both just so big, you need to have a big trailer. Like you said, they have to go in straight, no turning them like the quads. Good luck!

theres a guy on ebay, has a company called Branson trajler manufacturing, has what looks like a real nicely designed 2 up trailer, sells for about 750, single axle,15" tires. particularily well thought out front side load arraingment[and a good looking site model to boot]......

are you looking for a toy hauler or just an inclosed trailer?

Posted by: 2BoysandUsriding

I have a 6x14 Big Tex and unfortunately, I did not get one with a side load. It will hold a TB250 sideways, a SPTS700 and SPTS90 sideways. If I get another trailer, I will have to get a wider trailer or at least a 16' to be able to get a 4th quad on it. I have to take the TB250 and pick up the back end and swing it side ways. Not a big deal, but a longer and about a foot wider trailer would solve some issues.

I just bought this steel, 5'x14' trailer for $1495 with a spare tire & a locking gear box up front. Loading is a breeze, even for the wife.
14'x5' trailer

It's got 15" wheels, Net wt is 900 lbs. Gross is 2900. Total length is 17' so it fits in my garage easily.

In Texas, the max width is 102" which usually results in a 6'10" wide bed for a utility trailer and 7' for a car hauler. I have 16' utility trailer that is 6' 10" wide in the bed and could haul four full size ATVs turned sideways.

Bjamin18,
I&39;m in the same predicament as you are in. The wife wants a Rhino and a Rhino with two quads makes towing on our current trailer impossible. I figure that I can get away with a 7x16ft trailer to do the job but my towing weight nearly doubles from my current configuration. The biggest problem I see is that you can&39;t load the Rhino sideways like the quads so it takes up lots of room. I&39;m trying to talk the wife into a quad but she likes the side by side setup. I&39;m loosing the battle!
