Thinkin about gettin one. the 06's are runnin 360 hp and 650 lb of torque. sounds pretty sweet. what do you guys that have them think about em?

I have an 04.5 with 310 horse and 590 foot lbs. Love it! I had a 454 that had a intake, chip and exhaust and the stock duramax blows it away. Go over to thedieselplace.com for more info than you could ever think to ask about the Duramax. There are a couple guys over there that are just getting there new LBZ diesels with the 650 foot lbs, sounds sweet.

any of the new diesels will pull anything a civillian will want to. My powerchoke diesel will pull anything I want it to. pulling better, or more I don't get the relationship. they would seem to be one and the same. the newer diesels are also much quieter also, but I'll stick with my 02, if I can't hear It run I'll think somethings wrong!@

yea, every where you go a majority of the people say chevys suck and what not but the duramax 2500 and 3500 heavy dutys pull more than the fords to, maybe not more but they pull better.

I have owned both a 2003 Duramax and a 2005 Duramax, and have loved them both. They have both towed better than anything else I have ever owned (including Cummins). I tow a triple axle 5er that weighs up to 17K when fully loaded. The trucks typically sit in the garage all week, and only come out on the weekends to tow with, so 90% of the miles on my trucks are miles spent towing up to the rated maximum capacity of the truck, and not one single problem from either truck.

Everyone I know that has one loves them. I have a Cummins and am happy with it but Juat last week I test drove a used Duramax to see if it was worth trading for but kept my Cummins because they where way to proud of them Duramaxes. They wanted way to much money to boot. I am happy with the way it tows so i see no need to move to a Chevy other than back seat room. And now for 06 Dodge has GM and Ford beat on that.
